Fast and accurate methods for predicting traffic properties and trend are essential for dynamic network resource management and congestion control. With the aim of performing online and feasible prediction of network traffic, this paper proposes a novel time series model, named adaptive autoregressive (AAR). This model is built upon an adaptive memory‐shortening technique and an adaptive‐order selection method originally developed by this study. Compared to the conventional one‐step ahead prediction using traditional Box–Jenkins time series models (e.g. AR, MA, ARMA, ARIMA and ARFIMA), performance results obtained from actual Internet traffic traces have demonstrated that the proposed AAR model is able to support online prediction of dynamic network traffic with reasonable accuracy and relatively low computation complexity. K-nearest neighbours algorithms are among the most popular existing classification methods, due to their simplicity and good
performances. Over the years, several extensions of the initial method have been proposed. In this paper, we propose a K-nearest
neighbours approach that uses the theory of imprecise probabilities, and more specifically lower previsions. We show that
the proposed approach has several assets: it can handle uncertain data in a very generic way, and decision rules developed
within this theory allow us to deal with conflicting information between neighbours or with the absence of close neighbour
to the instance to classify. We show that results of the basic k-NN and weighted k-NN methods can be retrieved by the proposed approach. We end with some experiments on the classical data sets. 相似文献

The preparation of cheap nitrogen-enriched materials with large adsorptive capacities and selectivity towards volatile organic compounds remains a challenge. Ammoxidation has been used to prepare nitrogen-enriched activated carbons using a demineralised Polish lignite. The lignite samples were demineralised by two different methods before nitrogen-enrichment by ammoxidation and physical activation in steam. The surface chemistry was investigated by elemental analysis, Boehm titration, infrared and XPS spectroscopies and adsorptive properties by a linear solvation energy relationship approach. Results show a quasi-total demineralisation and a higher reactivity towards nitrogen for the demineralised samples. The BET surface is also higher than for the non-demineralised lignite. Active carbons previously ammoxidated and demineralised are more interesting in terms of selective removal of gaseous pollutants. 相似文献

Implicit–explicit (IMEX) time stepping methods can efficiently solve differential equations with both stiff and nonstiff components. IMEX Runge–Kutta methods and IMEX linear multistep methods have been studied in the literature. In this paper we study new implicit–explicit methods of general linear type. We develop an order conditions theory for high stage order partitioned general linear methods (GLMs) that share the same abscissae, and show that no additional coupling order conditions are needed. Consequently, GLMs offer an excellent framework for the construction of multi-method integration algorithms. Next, we propose a family of IMEX schemes based on diagonally-implicit multi-stage integration methods and construct practical schemes of order up to three. The dynamic and partial reconfiguration of FPGAs enables the dynamic placement of applicatives tasks in reconfigurable zones. However, the dynamic management of the tasks impacts the communications since they are not present in the FPGA during all computation time. So, the task manager should ensure the allocation of each new task and their interconnection which is performed by a flexible interconnection network. In this article, various interconnection networks are studied. Each architecture is evaluated with respect to its suitability for the paradigm of the dynamic and partial reconfiguration in FPGA implementations. This study leads us to propose the OCEAN network that supports the communication constraints into the context of dynamic reconfigurations. Thanks to a generic platform allowing in situ characterizations of network performances, fair comparisons of various Networks-On-Chip can be realized. The FPGA and ASICs implementations of the OCEAN network are also discussed. 相似文献

We report operation and characterization of a lab-assembled single-photon detector based on commercial silicon avalanche photodiodes (PerkinElmer C30902SH, C30921SH). Dark count rate as low as 5 Hz was achieved by cooling the photodiodes down to -80 °C. While afterpulsing increased as the photodiode temperature was decreased, total afterpulse probability did not become significant due to detector's relatively long deadtime in a passively-quenched scheme. We measured photon detection efficiency >50% at 806 nm. 相似文献

The fundamental macroscopic material property needed to quantify the flow in a fibrous medium viewed as a porous medium is the permeability. Composite processing models require the permeability as input data to predict flow patterns and pressure fields. As permeability reflects both the magnitude and anisotropy of the fluid/fiber resistance, efficient numerical techniques are needed to solve linear and nonlinear homogenization problems online during the flow simulation. In a previous work the expressions of macroscopic permeability were derived in a double-scale porosity medium for both Newtonian and rheo-thinning resins. In the linear case only a microscopic calculation on a representative volume is required, implying as many microscopic calculations as representative microscopic volumes exist in the whole fibrous structure. In the non-linear case, and even when the porous microstructure can be described by a unique representative volume, microscopic calculation must be carried out many times because the microscale resin viscosity depends on the macroscopic velocity, which in turn depends on the permeability that results from a microscopic calculation. Thus, a nonlinear multi-scale problem results. In this paper an original and efficient offline-online procedure is proposed for the efficient solution of nonlinear flow problems in porous media. 相似文献

A critical overview of the latest developments in the aluminum battery technologies is reported. The substitution of lithium with alternative metal anodes characterized by lower cost and higher abundance is nowadays one of the most widely explored paths to reduce the cost of electrochemical storage systems and enable long‐term sustainability. Aluminum based secondary batteries could be a viable alternative to the present Li‐ion technology because of their high volumetric capacity (8040 mAh cm?3 for Al vs 2046 mAh cm?3 for Li). Additionally, the low cost aluminum makes these batteries appealing for large‐scale electrical energy storage. Here, we describe the evolution of the various aluminum systems, starting from those based on aqueous electrolytes to, in more details, those based on non‐aqueous electrolytes. Particular attention has been dedicated to the latest development of electrolytic media characterized by low reactivity towards other cell components. The attention is then focused on electrode materials enabling the reversible aluminum intercalation‐deintercalation process. Finally, we touch on the topic of high‐capacity aluminum‐sulfur batteries, attempting to forecast their chances to reach the status of practical energy storage systems. 相似文献
