The structural and electrochemical properties of LiNiO2 powders were investigated as a function of the oxygen flow rate employed in the preparation of lithium nickel oxide. It was found that oxygen played an important role in the synthesis of highly crystallized LiNiO2(Rm). In the crystallization process of LiNiO2, a deficiency of oxygen in the calcination reactor induced the formation of impurities and cubic rock-salt structure (Fm3m) in LiNiO2 powders. For LiNiO2 prepared at higher oxygen flow rates, the electrode delivered high discharge capacities with relatively good retention rates. But very low electrode capacity was obtained from LiNiO2 prepared at lower oxygen flow rates.  相似文献

In this study, elemental composition of PM2.5 and the status of indoor/outdoor pollution were investigated in a commercial building near a roadside area in Daejeon, Korea. A total of 60 parallel PM2.5 samples were collected both on the roof (outdoor) and in an indoor office of a building near a highly congested road during the spring and fall of 2008. The concentrations of 23 elements were analysed from these PM2.5 samples using instrumental neutron activation analysis. PM2.5 levels in indoor environment (47.6 ± 16.5 μg/m(3)) were noticeably higher than the outdoor levels (37.7 ± 17.2 μg/m(3)) with the I/O concentration ratio of 1.37 ± 0.33 [correlation coefficient (r) = 0.89, P < 0.001]. Principal component analysis results coincidently showed the predominance of sources such as soil dust, traffic, oil/coal combustion and road dust for both indoor and outdoor microenvironments. An isolated source in the indoor environment was assigned to environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) with high factor loading of Ce, Cl, I, K, La and Zn. The overall results of our study indicate that the sources of indoor constituents were strongly dependent on outdoor processes except for the ones affected by independent sources such as ETS. PRACTICAL IMPLICATIONS: An improved understanding of the factors affecting the indoor PM2.5 concentration levels can lead to the development of an efficient management strategy to control health risks from exposure to indoor PM2.5 and related toxic components. A comparison of our comprehensive data sets indicated that most indoor PM2.5 and associated elemental species were strongly enriched by indoor source activities along with infiltration of ambient outdoor air for a naturally ventilated building.  相似文献

A detailed study was made of the fatty acid composition of plasma triglycerides, free fatty acids, phospholipids, red cell total phospholipids, phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylethanolamine in 32 normal males and 18 normal females. No sex differences could be detected. There were substantial differences in the compositions of the various fractions and long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids were particularly important in the red cells.  相似文献

Mycelia of Antrodia cinnamomea (AC), an edible fungus native to Taiwan, were produced by submerged fermentation with various fermentation times in 250 mL, 5 and 500 L fermentors and were evaluated for the effect of fermentation products on the viabilities of Hep3B and HepG2 hepatoma cells and normal primary rat hepatocytes. The results showed that the ethanolic extracts of AC mycelia (from 250 mL fermentation for 8 wk and 5 and 500 L fermentations for 4 wk) possessed high antihepatoma activity. The IC(50) of ethanolic extract of AC mycelia fermented for 8 wk in a 250 mL fermentor against Hep3B and HepG2 cells were 82.9 and 54.2 microg/mL, respectively. Furthermore, the IC(50) for Hep3B and HepG2, treated with ethanolic extract of AC mycelia fermented for 4 wk in the 5 L fermentor were 48.7 and 3.8 microg/mL, respectively. Those treated with ethanolic extract of AC mycelia fermented for 4 wk in the 500 L fermentor were 36.9 and 3.1 microg/mL, respectively. No adverse effects of all samples on normal primary rat hepatocytes were observed.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between placental polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins, dibenzofurans (PCDD/F) and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) toxic equivalent (TEQ) levels and the consumption of various food types in pregnant women from central Taiwan. Placental PCDD/Fs and PCB congener TEQ levels were evaluated in 109 pregnant women and dietary information was obtained by questionnaire. TEQ levels of PCDD/Fs and PCBs were positively associated with age and annual family incomes (p < 0.05). PCDD/F TEQs were significantly associated with freshwater fish and dairy product consumption after adjustment for age and body mass index (BMI) (p < 0.05). For PCB TEQs, significant associations were detected for saltwater fish consumption (p < 0.05). In summary, positive correlations were found between freshwater fish and dairy product intake and PCDD/F levels, and a marginal correlation between saltwater fish intake and the body burden of PCBs in pregnant women from central Taiwan. Risk assessment of PCDD/Fs and PCB in fishery products is warranted in a future study to quantify the benefits of fish consumption during the perinatal period.  相似文献

Mechanical properties of alkaline earth-doped lanthanum gallate   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
Lanthanum gallate doped with alkaline earths was prepared from combustion-synthesized powders. Mechanical properties of the doped gallates were evaluated as a function of composition and temperature. The indentation fracture toughness of Sr-substituted gallates was significantly better than the Ca- and Ba-substituted materials, but the toughness of all the doped gallates was significantly lower than yttria-stabilized zirconia, a typical electrolyte material. Small improvements in room temperature toughness and strength were measured in (La0.9Sr0.1)xGa0.8Mg0.2O3–, (LSGM-1020) samples with significant A-site cation non-stoichiometry (x = 0.9). The flexural strength of stoichiometric LSGM-1020 decreased from 150 MPa at room temperature, to 100 MPa at higher temperatures (600–1000°C). The notched-beam fracture toughness of LSGM-1020 decreased from 2.0–2.2 MPam at room temperature, to 1.0 MPam at 600°C. The decrease in mechanical properties over this temperature range was correlated to changes in crystal structure that have been identified by neutron diffraction. These crystallographic changes were also accompanied by significant changes in the thermal expansion behavior and elastic modulus. For off-stoichiometric LSGM-1020 with A/B cation stoichiometry of 0.90, strength and toughness also decreased with temperature, but the retained toughness (1.5 MPam) at elevated temperatures was higher than the toughness of the stoichiometric LSGM material.  相似文献

Three different extraction methods were evaluated: Soxhlet extraction, accelerated solvent extractor extraction and alkali digestion with high-resolution gas chromatography/high-resolution mass spectrometry, for the analysis of edible freshwater fish and frogs. The recovery efficiencies for the different extraction methods were also compared. Using these extraction methods, the concentrations and spatial distributions of these compounds in freshwater fish and frogs (n = 99), collected from 31 locations on four major river systems (Han, Nakdong, Kum and Youngsan) and two wetlands in South Korea, were examined. The concentrations of total polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and dibenzofurans (PCDD/Fs) in all the freshwater fish and frog samples were analysed. The toxic equivalency (TEQ) concentration of PCDD/Fs in fish ranged from 0 (n.d.) to 1.309 pg I-TEQ g(-1) wet weight. Detailed concentrations for different types of fish were as follows (pg I-TEQ g(-1) wet weight): 0 (n.d.)-1.309 for crucian (mean 0.331, n = 28), 0.004-0.743 for carp (0.244, n = 10), 0.004-0.592 for dace (0.198, n = 8), 0.187-0.400 for cornet fish (0.287, n = 3), 0.164-0.410 for Korean piscivorous chub (0.303, n = 6), 0.105-0.516 for bass (0.310, n = 2), 0.451-0.812 for mullet (0.631, n = 2), 0.082 for long-nosed barbell, 0.100 for common Korean bitterling and 0.995 for dark chub. The total TEQ concentration ranged from 0 (n.d.) to 1.258 pg I-TEQ g(-1) wet weight for the two kinds of frogs (n = 36) investigated: 0 (n.d.)-1.258 pg I-TEQ g(-1) (mean 0.346, n = 29) for the bullfrog and from 0 (n.d.)-0.474 pg I-TEQ g(-1) (0.185, n = 7) for the mountain frog.  相似文献

The sintered Ca(1-x-y)Dy(x)CeyMnO3 bodies were a single phase with a perovskite structure without any impurity phases. The calculated crystallite sizes of the Ca(1-x-y)Dy(x)CeyMnO3 were in the range of 43.3 to 63.3 nm. The composition significantly affected their microstructural and thermoelectric characteristics. The doped Dy led to both an increase in the electrical conductivity as well as the absolute value of the Seebeck coefficient, resulting in an enhanced power factor. The highest power factor (5.1 x 10(-4) Wm(-1) K(-2)) was obtained for Ca(0.8)Dy(0.2)MnO3 at 800 degrees C. In this study, we systematically discussed the thermoelectric properties of the Ca(1-x-y)Dy(x)CeyMnO3, with respect to the substitution of Dy and/or Ce for Ca.  相似文献
