Measurements in the CROCUS reactor at EPFL, Lausanne, are reported for the critical water level and the inverse reactor period for several different sets of delayed supercritical conditions. The experimental configurations were also calculated by four different calculation methods. For each of the supercritical configurations, the absolute reactivity value has been determined in two different ways, viz.: (i) through direct comparison of the multiplication factor obtained employing a given calculation method with the corresponding value for the critical case (calculated reactivity: ρcalc); (ii) by application of the inhour equation using the kinetic parameters obtained for the critical configuration and the measured inverse reactor period (measured reactivity: ρmeas). The calculated multiplication factors for the reference critical configuration, as well as ρcalc for the supercritical cases, are found to be in good agreement. However, the values of ρmeas produced by two of the applied calculation methods differ appreciably from the corresponding ρcalc values, clearly indicating deficiencies in the kinetic parameters obtained from these methods. 相似文献

Summary The paper describes a local solution method for the calculation of the interaction between a weak shock front and a turbulent boundary layer on a swept wing. A multiple-deck approach allows the simplification of the governing equations according to the physical character of each deck. The mathematical model is based upon small-perturbation theory. The final boundary-layer solution is given by an iterative coupling of the solutions for each domain. The results are compared with experiments and with other theoretical solutions. 相似文献

Genetic recombination was used in Drosophila melanogaster to isolate P elements, inserted at the telomeres of X chromosomes (cytological site IA) from natural populations, in a genetic background devoid of other P elements. We show that complete maternally inherited P repression in the germline (P cytotype) can be elicited by only two autonomous P elements at 1A and that a single element at this site has partial regulatory properties. The analysis of the surrounding chromosomal regions of the P elements at 1A shows that in all cases these elements are flanked by Telomeric Associated Sequences, tandemly repetitive noncoding sequences that have properties of heterochromatin. In addition, we show that the regulatory properties of P elements at 1A can be inhibited by some of the mutant alleles of the Su(var)205 gene and by a deficiency of this gene. However, the regulatory properties of reference P strains (Harwich and Texas 007) are not impaired by Su(var)205 mutations. Su(var)205 encodes Heterochromatin Protein 1 (HP1). These results suggest that the HP1 dosage effect on the P element properties is site-dependent and could involve the structure of the chromatin. 相似文献

Antipatterns are poor design choices that are conjectured to make object-oriented systems harder to maintain. We investigate
the impact of antipatterns on classes in object-oriented systems by studying the relation between the presence of antipatterns
and the change- and fault-proneness of the classes. We detect 13 antipatterns in 54 releases of ArgoUML, Eclipse, Mylyn, and
Rhino, and analyse (1) to what extent classes participating in antipatterns have higher odds to change or to be subject to
fault-fixing than other classes, (2) to what extent these odds (if higher) are due to the sizes of the classes or to the presence
of antipatterns, and (3) what kinds of changes affect classes participating in antipatterns. We show that, in almost all releases
of the four systems, classes participating in antipatterns are more change-and fault-prone than others. We also show that
size alone cannot explain the higher odds of classes with antipatterns to underwent a (fault-fixing) change than other classes.
Finally, we show that structural changes affect more classes with antipatterns than others. We provide qualitative explanations
of the increase of change- and fault-proneness in classes participating in antipatterns using release notes and bug reports.
The obtained results justify a posteriori previous work on the specification and detection of antipatterns and could help

Due to the increasing importance of producing and consuming energy more sustainably, Energy Informatics (EI) has evolved into a thriving research area within the CS/IS community. The article attempts to characterize this young and highly dynamic field of research by describing current EI research topics and methods and provides an outlook of how the field might evolve in the future. It is shown that two general research questions have received the most attention so far and are likely to dominate the EI research agenda in the coming years: How to leverage information and communication technology (ICT) to (1) improve energy efficiency, and (2) to integrate decentralized renewable energy sources into the power grid. Selected EI streams are reviewed, highlighting how the respective research questions are broken down into specific research projects and how EI researchers have made contributions based on their individual academic background. 相似文献

Monthly measurements of carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4) and nitrous oxide (N2O) fluxes in peat soils were carried out and compared with groundwater level over a year at four sites (drained forest, upland cassava,upland and lowland paddy fields) located in Jambi province, Indonesia. Fluxes from swamp forest soils were also measured once per year as the native state of this investigated area. Land-use change from drained forest to lowland paddy field significantly decreased the CO2 (from 266 to 30 mg C m–2 h–1) and N2O fluxes (from 25.4 to 3.8 g N m–2 h–1), but increased the CH4 flux (from 0.1 to 4.2 mg C m–2 h–1) in the soils. Change from drained forest to cassava field significantly increased N2O flux (from 25.4 to 62.2 g N m–2 h–1), but had no significant influence on CO2 (from 266 to 200 mg C m–2 h–1) and CH4 fluxes (from 0.1 to 0.3 mg C m–2 h–1) in the soils. Averaged CO2 fluxes in the swamp forests (94 mg C m–2 h–1) were estimated to be one-third of that in the drained forest. Groundwater levels of drained forest and upland crop fields had been lowered by drainage ditches while swamp forest and lowland paddy field were flooded, although groundwater levels were also affected by precipitation. Groundwater levels were negatively related to CO2 flux but positively related to CH4 flux at all investigation sites. The peak of the N2O flux was observed at –20 cm of groundwater level. Lowering the groundwater level by 10 cm from the soil surface resulted in a 50 increase in CO2 emission (from 109.1 to 162.4 mg C m–2 h–1) and a 25% decrease in CH4 emission (from 0.440 to 0.325 mg C m–2 h–1) in this study. These results suggest that lowering of groundwater level by the drainage ditches in the peat lands contributes to global warming and devastation of fields. Swamp forest was probably the best land-use management in peat lands to suppress the carbon loss and greenhouse gas emission. Lowland paddy field was a better agricultural system in the peat lands in terms of C sequestration and greenhouse gas emission. Carbon loss from lowland paddy field was one-eighth of that of the other upland crop systems, although the Global Warming Potential was almost the same level as that of the other upland crop systems because of CH4 emission through rice plants. 相似文献

Solid state phase equilibria in the ternary Fe–Ga–Sb diagram were determined at 600 °C using experimental techniques such as X-ray diffraction, electron probe microanalysis and scanning electron microscopy. Very limited solid solutions were measured in the binary constituent Fe–Ga and Fe–Sb compounds except for the -phase (Fe≈2.55Sb2) which extends from 42 to 48 at.% Sb. In the Fe-rich part of the diagram, a ternary phase FetGa2−xSbx (2.15≤t≤2.80) was evidenced which corresponds in fact to a solid solution into which Ga and Sb substitute one another on the same hexagonal sublattice. This phase, which can be truly considered as a pseudo-binary one since its origin results from the -phase, shows an extended homogeneity range with a Ga-rich limit corresponding to the formula FetGa0.8Sb1.2. Moreover, it crystallizes in hexagonal symmetry with a disordered structure derivative from the NiAs-type (B81). This pseudo-binary phase is in thermodynamic equilibrium with all the binaries of the system except FeGa3. The main result of the ternary Fe–Ga–Sb diagram remains the existence of a diphasic region between the FetGa2−xSbx phase (1.2≤x≤1.6; 2.15≤t≤2.80) and the semiconductor GaSb. Nevertheless, at 600 °C, this pseudo-binary phase does not extend up to the Fe3GaSb composition which is stoichiometric in Ga and Sb. Finally, a comparative study has been made with the three other ternary systems Fe–Ga–As, Ni–Ga–As and Ni–Ga–Sb previously reported, and the consequences for the solid state interdiffusions in Metal/III–V semiconductor heterostructures are discussed. 相似文献

Frameworks are widely used in modern software development to reduce development costs. They are accessed through their Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), which specify the contracts with client programs. When frameworks evolve, API backward-compatibility cannot always be guaranteed and client programs must upgrade to use the new releases. Because framework upgrades are not cost-free, observing API changes and usages together at fine-grained levels is necessary to help developers understand, assess, and forecast the cost of each framework upgrade. Whereas previous work studied API changes in frameworks and API usages in client programs separately, we analyse and classify API changes and usages together in 22 framework releases from the Apache and Eclipse ecosystems and their client programs. We find that (1) missing classes and methods happen more often in frameworks and affect client programs more often than the other API change types do, (2) missing interfaces occur rarely in frameworks but affect client programs often, (3) framework APIs are used on average in 35 % of client classes and interfaces, (4) most of such usages could be encapsulated locally and reduced in number, and (5) about 11 % of APIs usages could cause ripple effects in client programs when these APIs change. Based on these findings, we provide suggestions for developers and researchers to reduce the impact of API evolution through language mechanisms and design strategies. 相似文献
