In this study, we investigated the influence of a buffer layer of molybdic oxide (MoO3) at the metal/organic junction on the behavior of organic base-modulation triodes. The performance of devices featuring MoO3/Al as the emitter electrode was enhanced relative to that of corresponding devices with Au and Ag, presumably because of the reduced in the contact barrier and the prevention of metal diffusion into the organic layer. The device exhibited an output current of ?16.1 μA at VB = ?5 V and a current ON/OFF ratio of 103. Using this architecture, we constructed resistance–load inverters that exhibited a calculated gain of 6.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose an approach for the analysis and detection of acoustic events in speech signals using the Bessel series expansion. The acoustic events analyzed are the voice onset time (VOT) and the glottal closure instants (GCIs). The hypothesis is that the Bessel functions with their damped sinusoid-like basis functions are better suited for representing the speech signals than the sinusoidal basis functions used in the conventional Fourier representation. The speech signal is band-pass filtered by choosing the appropriate range of Bessel coefficients to obtain a narrow-band signal, which is decomposed further into amplitude modulated (AM) and frequency modulated (FM) components. The discrete energy separation algorithm (DESA) is used to compute the amplitude envelope (AE) of the narrow-band AM-FM signal. Events such as the consonant and vowel beginnings in an unvoiced stop consonant vowel (SCV) and the GCIs are derived by processing the AE of the signal. The proposed approach for the detection of the VOT using the Bessel expansion is shown to perform better than the conventional Fourier representation. The performance of the proposed GCI detection method using the Bessel series expansion is compared against some of the existing methods for various noise environments and signal-to-noise ratios.  相似文献

Cadmium sulfide (CdS) thin films were deposited on glass substrate at room temperature by successive ionic layer adsorption and reaction method (SILAR). The deposition parameters such as rinsing time, rinsing cycle and concentration of precursor solution were varied during the preparation of the samples. The structural characterization and optical characterization were carried out. The deposited films by lower growth rate and lower precursor concentration solutions were having mixed hexagonal and cubic phases. Thickness dependence of the optical band gap energy was evaluated and it varies from 2.46 to 2.32 eV in the thickness range 38–330 nm.  相似文献

A series of novel hydrogen-bonded (H-bonded) cross-linking polymers were generated by complexing various proton-donor (H-donor) solar cell dyes containing 3,6- and 2,7-functionalized electron-donating carbazole cores bearing symmetrical thiophene linkers and cyanoacrylic acid termini with a proton-acceptor (H-acceptor) side-chain homopolymer carrying pyridyl pendants (with 1/2 M ratio of H-donor/H-acceptor). The supramolecular H-bonded structures between H-donor dyes and the H-acceptor side-chain polymer were confirmed by FTIR measurements. The effects of the supramolecular architecture on optical, electrochemical, and organic photovoltaic (OPV) properties were investigated. From DFT (density functional theory) calculations, the optimized geometries of organic dyes reflected that the carbazole cores of H-donor dyes were coplanar with the conjugated thiophenes and cyanoacrylic acids, which is essential for strong conjugations across the donor-acceptor units in D1-D4 dyes. Under 100 mW/cm2 of AM 1.5 white-light illumination, bulk heterojunction (BHJ) OPV cell devices containing an active layer of H-bonded polymers (PDFTP/D1-D4) as an electron donor blended with [6,6]-phenyl C61-butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM) as an electron acceptor in a weight ratio of 1:1 were explored. From the preliminary investigations, the OPV device containing 1:1 weight ratio of H-bonded polymer PDFTP/D2 and PCBM showed the best power conversion efficiency (PCE) value of 0.31% with a short-circuit current (Jsc) of 1.9 mA/cm2, an open-circuit voltage (Voc) of 0.55 V, and a fill factor (FF) of 29%, which has a higher PCE value than the corresponding H-donor D2 dye (PCE = 0.15%) or H-acceptor PDFTP homopolymer (PCE = 0.02%) blended with PCBM in 1:1 weight ratio.  相似文献

The coat protein gene of physalis mottle tymovirus (PhMV) was over expressed in Escherichia coli using pET-3d vector. The recombinant protein was found to self assemble into capsids in vivo. The purified recombinant capsids had an apparent s value of 56.5 S and a diameter of 29(+/-2) nm. In order to establish the role of amino and carboxy-terminal regions in capsid assembly, two amino-terminal deletions clones lacking the first 11 and 26 amino acid residues and two carboxy-terminal deletions lacking the last five and ten amino acid residues were constructed and overexpressed. The proteins lacking N-terminal 11 (PhCPN1) and 26 (PhCPN2) amino acid residues self assembled into T=3 capsids in vivo, as evident from electron microscopy, ultracentrifugation and agarose gel electrophoresis. The recombinant, PhCPN1 and PhCPN2 capsids were as stable as the empty capsids formed in vivo and encapsidated a small amount of mRNA. The monoclonal antibody PA3B2, which recognizes the epitope within region 22 to 36, failed to react with PhCPN2 capsids while it recognized the recombinant and PhCPN1 capsids. Disassembly of the capsids upon treatment with urea showed that PhCPN2 capsids were most stable. These results demonstrate that the N-terminal 26 amino acid residues are not essential for T=3 capsid assembly in PhMV. In contrast, both the proteins lacking the C-terminal five and ten amino acid residues were present only in the insoluble fraction and could not assemble into capsids, suggesting that these residues are crucial for folding and assembly of the particles.  相似文献

During the development of a tablet formulation of a cohesive, fluffy investigational drug, a novel moisture-activated dry granulation (MADG) process was studied in comparison with two conventional granulation methods, i.e., wet granulation and dry granulation with a roller compactor, as well as with a direct compression formulation method. The MADG method produced granules with excellent flowability which were equivalent in a number of ways to those produced by either conventional wet granulation or dry granulation methods and which were much better than the powder blend from the direct compression formulation. The tablets prepared using the MADG method had better content uniformity than those made using material from wet and dry granulation processes. Other tablet properties, such as weight variation, friability and dissolution, were similar among the tablets produced by the four processes  相似文献

Stille polymerization was employed to synthesize a low-band-gap (LBG) conjugated main-chain polymer PBTH consisting of bithiazole, dithieno[3,2-b:2′,3′-d]pyrroles (DTP), and pendent melamine derivatives. Novel supramolecular polymer networks PBTH/C and PBTH/F were developed by mixing proper molar amounts of polymer PBTH (containing melamine pendants) to be hydrogen-bonded (H-bonded) with complementary uracil-based conjugated cross-linkers C and F (i.e., containing two symmetrical uracil moieties connected with carbazole and fluorene units through triple bonds). The formation of multiple H-bonds between polymer PBTH and cross-linkers C or F was confirmed by FT-IR measurements. In contrast to polymer PBTH, the supramolecular design with multiple H-bonds can enhance the photovoltaic properties of polymer solar cell (PSC) devices containing H-bonded polymer networks PBTH/C and PBTH/F by tuning their light harvesting capabilities, HOMO energy levels, and crystallinities. Initially, the power conversion efficiency (PCE) values of PSC devices containing supramolecular polymer networks PBTH/C and PBTH/F as electron donors and [6,6]-phenyl-C71-butyric acid methyl ester (PC70BM) as an electron acceptor (polymer:PC70BM = 1:1 w/w) are found to be 0.97 and 0.68%, respectively, in contrast to 0.52% for polymer PBTH. The highest PCE value of 1.56% with a short-circuit current densities (Jsc) value of 7.16 mA/cm2, a open circuit voltages (Voc) value of 0.60 V, and a fill factor (FF) of 0.36 was further optimized in the PSC device containing a supramolecular polymer network PBTH/C as polymer:PC70BM = 1:2 w/w. These results indicate that supramolecular design is an effective route towards better photovoltaic properties of Voc, Jsc, and PCE values in polymer solar cells.  相似文献

Environmentally benign-synthesized gold nanoparticles (Au-NPs) have received substantial attention owing to their biomedical applications, particularly in cancer therapy. In the current study, Backhousia citriodora (B. citriodora) leaf extract was applied as a reducing agent for one-pot synthesis of controlled size Au-NPs. The effect of various parameters such as reaction time, pH, and B. citriodora leaf boiling time on the synthesis of Au-NPs was studied. The characterization of the Au-NPs synthesized at 15.0-min incubation time showed colour change because of the surface plasma resonance band around 530.0 nm. TEM photographs showed spherical morphologies with an average size of 8.40 ± 0.084 nm and zeta potential value was ? 29.74 mV, indicating stability of the nanoparticles. The biomedical properties of Au-NPs and B. citriodora leaf extract showed strong DPPH radical scavenging. The in vitro anticancer activity determined using MTT assay exhibited that Au-NPs showed a significant dose-dependent reduction in the viability of the MCF-7 breast cancer cell line and the HepG2 liver cancer cell line with IC50 values of 116.65 and 108.21 µg, respectively.  相似文献
