The radiation from power-bus structures on high-speed printed circuit boards due to the switching noise current of digital integrated circuits is investigated. The study is based on an analytical cavity-resonator model for a rectangular parallel-plate structure. Based on the application of the field-equivalence principle, the radiated field is calculated from the electric edge-field distribution. For typical board dimensions, several cavity-mode resonances occur within the typical frequency range of interest, leading to relatively high maximum values for radiated emission. The evaluation of the radiation patterns reveals that all (0, nth) resonances have equal maximum amplitudes in the whole mode spectrum. This allows the setting up of an engineering equation for quantifying the noise-current-related maximum radiated field strength, including the dielectric and ohmic loss. Among all geometrical and material parameters, the dielectric thickness is one of the most effective ones to control radiated emission. The theoretical results are well confirmed by accurate measurements carried out in an anechoic room.  相似文献

In this paper, by applying a non linear model for the electromagnetic inverse scattering, a technique for the dielectric profiling of a planarly layered medium is investigated and applied to void localization and diagnostics inside a homogeneous lossless slab (one-dimensional geometry). Data are collected under plane wave multifrequency normal incidence. Suitable finite dimensional representations for the unknown functions are introduced and their influence on the model is discussed. The resulting functional equation is solved by the method of weighted residuals and the solution algorithm amounts to minimizing a non quadratic function, where particular attention is devoted to reduce the occurrence of local minima. Finally, the inversion algorithm is validated by applications to both simulated and experimental data.  相似文献

Results from this laboratory have shown that bone metabolism is directly related to extracellular pH and that high concentrations of tobramycin released from impregnated polymethylmethacryrate (PMMA) beads has pH-dependent toxic effects on bone. In the present study, beneficial effects of calcium hydroxide-impregnated PMMA were investigated regarding tobramycin toxicity and bone metabolism in chick embryo tibiae in vitro. Also using Ca(OH)2 as a pH regulator, the antibiotic efficacy of tobramycin-impregnated PMMA was evaluated with respect to inhibition of Staphylococcus aureus growth. When Ca(OH)2 was added to PMMA beads containing tobramycin, the beads released hydroxyl and calcium ions into the culture medium and released more antibiotic than beads containing only tobramycin. Bone metabolism (glycolysis, total protein synthesis, and collagen synthesis) was enhanced by Ca(OH)2-impregnated beads with or without tobramycin. Additionally, bacterial growth was inhibited more strongly when S. aureus was incubated with tobramycin- and Ca(OH)2-impregnated PMMA disks than with disks containing only tobramycin. This study demonstrates the feasibility of adding Ca(OH)2 to tobramycin-impregnated PMMA beads as a regulator of local pH and a promoter of bone metabolism for protection of bone when high concentrations of tobramycin are used to treat osteomyelitis. It also suggests that lower concentrations of antibiotic may be effective if Ca(OH)2 and tobramycin are administered simultaneously.  相似文献

Remarkably rapid nitriding which is independent of diffusion theory based on the thermal activation process, was observed during nitriding of austenitic Fe-Ni-Cr steels containing 16 and 19 mass% chromium. Increase of the chromium content in the alloys yielded increasing thickness of the nitrided layer, i.e. the internal nitriding theory did not hold in the nitriding. No rapid nitriding was observed in steels containing less than 13 mass% chromium. Hence the limiting concentration of chromium for the rapid nitriding will lie between 13 and 16 mass% chromium. A solution to the problem of abnormalities arising during nitriding of practical austenitic stainless steels which have been investigated since 1972, has been presented experimentally by nitriding various chromium-containing steels. Based on the experimental results, the origin of the rapid nitriding is discussed in connection with the free-energy function of Cr2N and CrN to temperature. In particular, a plateau of nitrogen concentration measured in the nitrided layers leads to the conclusion that a forced nitrogen diffusion in the layer resulted in the rapid nitriding.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: Common etiopathogenic factors may explain the association of systemic sarcoidosis with inflammatory bowel disease. METHODS: We report two cases of such an association: one of sarcoidosis that developed 2 years after proctocolectomy for ulcerative colitis and one of sarcoidosis and Crohn's colitis. Factors like increased cellular immunity or circulating immunocomplexes or autoantibodies may have a role. Exogenous agents or familiarity may also be involved. CONCLUSIONS: It is postulated that the association between sarcoidosis and inflammatory bowel disease (both ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease) does not occur by chance alone and that the two conditions may share some genetic or immunologic alterations. The two diseases, however, follow an independent clinical course.  相似文献

We conducted an early phase II trial in advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) to evaluate response efficacy of a combination of Cisplatin (CDDP) and Carboplatin (CBDCA). The twenty-six patients in the study had had no previous treatment. They received a sequential administration of 300 mg/m2 CBDCA and 80 mg/m2 CDDP with approximately 3,500 ml of hydration on day 1 every 4 weeks. All patients were evaluable for response and toxicity. Ten (38.5%) of all assessable patients achieved a partial response (95% confidence interval, 19.8-57.2%). Response rates for patients with stage III A, III B and IV- disease were 40.0 (2/5), 70.0 (7/10) and 9.1% (1/11), respectively. Response rates for patients with squamous cell carcinoma, adenocarcinoma and large cell carcinoma were 35.7 (5/14), 45.5 (5/11) and 0.0% (0/1), respectively. The median survival time (MST) of all patients was 11 months. The MST for patients with stage III disease was 14 months; for those with stage IV disease it was 7 months. The MST for responding patients was 15 months and for not responding patients 5 months. Major toxicities were hematologic and gastrointestinal, and the dose-limiting factor was thrombocytopenia. This combination chemotherapy was effective against NSCLC with tolerable toxicities. Further trials are warranted to determine the efficacy of the combination chemotherapy.  相似文献

Complex technologies merging low-voltage bipolar devices and vertical current-flow power transistor allow more smart functions at low chip cost but pose problems during the design phase because there is no way to predict the influence of the high-voltage transistor over the control components by using standard bipolar junction transistor (BJT) models. In fact the large inductive load usually present in high-voltage power transistors applications forces both negative substrate voltage and spurious currents that can induce positive feedback among parasitic devices, downgrading the performance of a single device and so of the whole circuit. In this work we introduce a model for the five-terminal bipolar devices used in smart power applications. The model accounts for all main static and dynamic parasitic effects and gives results in very good agreement with experimental data on both simple devices and complex integrated circuits currently implemented in commercial products for microprocessor based engine management systems (EMS's)  相似文献

Methamphetamine is, worldwide, one of the most consumed drugs of abuse. One important side effect is neurodegeneration leading to a decrease in life expectancy. The aim of this paper was to check whether the drug affects one of the receptors involved in neurodegeneration/neuroprotection events, namely the adenosine A2A receptor (A2AR). First, we noticed that methamphetamine does not affect A2A functionality if the receptor is expressed in a heterologous system. However, A2AR becomes sensitive to the drug upon complexes formation with the cannabinoid CB1 receptor (CB1R) and the sigma 1 receptor (σ1R). Signaling via both adenosine A2AR and cannabinoid CB1R was affected by methamphetamine in cells co-expressing the two receptors. In striatal primary cultures, the A2AR–CB1R heteromer complex was detected and methamphetamine not only altered its expression but completely blocked the A2AR- and the CB1R-mediated activation of the mitogen activated protein kinase (MAPK) pathway. In conclusion, methamphetamine, with the participation of σ1R, alters the expression and function of two interacting receptors, A2AR, which is a therapeutic target for neuroprotection, and CB1R, which is the most abundant G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) in the brain.  相似文献
