The composite-based poly(lactic acid) (PLA)/poly(butylene adipate-co-terephthalate) (PBAT)/kenaf fiber has been prepared using melt blending method. A PLA/PBAT blend with the ratio of 90:10 wt%, and the same blend ratio reinforced with various amounts of kenaf fiber have been prepared and characterized. However, the addition of kenaf fiber has reduced the mechanical properties sharply due to the poor interaction between the fiber and polymer matrix. Modification of the composite by (3-aminopropyl)trimethoxysilane (APTMS) showed improvements in mechanical properties, increasing up to 42.46, 62.71 and 22.00 % for tensile strength, flexural strength and impact strength, respectively. The composite treated with 2 % APTMS successfully exhibited optimum tensile strength (52.27 MPa), flexural strength (64.27 MPa) and impact strength (234.21 J/m). Morphological interpretation through scanning electron microscopy (SEM) reveals improved interaction and interfacial adhesion between PLA/PBAT blend and kenaf fiber. The fiber was well distributed and remained in the PLA/PBAT blend evenly. DMA results showed lower storage modulus (E′) for PLA/PBAT/kenaf fiber blend and an increase after modification by 2 wt% APTMS. Conversely, the relative damping properties decreased. Based on overall results, APTMS can be used as coupling agent for the composite since APTMS can improve the interaction between hydrophilic natural fibers and non-polar polymers.  相似文献

Interpretation of new multichannel seismic reflection data from the Andaman Forearc Basin (AFB) in the northern Indian Ocean is presented here. The highquality multichannel seismic data from the Andaman Forearc region enable us to examine the seismic characters and to demarcate seismic sequences bounded by distinct unconformities. Ages of marked seismic horizons have been calibrated with available litholog data from nearby industry boreholes. Seismic interpretation of new data shows that the AFB is filled with * 4.5-s-two way travel time (TWT) thick Neogene to Recent sediments. The entire basin assemblage exhibits two distinct major sequences pertaining to the Neogene and Quaternary times. A large part of the basin is filled with intermittent mass transport deposits (MTD). We infer that the episodic uplift of the Invisible Bank, protuberance of the outerarc and regular deformation through reactivation of preexisting normal faults since the Pleistocene could be attributed as causal mechanisms for the MTDs. Strong bottom simulating reflectors are identified in the Late Miocene and younger sediments of the outerarc and AFB at a depth of * 0.6 s TWT and correspond to the presence of gas hydrates in this region. Our interpretations have significant implications for geodynamic as well as resource exploration in the AFB.  相似文献

We demonstrate the validity of wavelet-based processing for recognition and classification of three-dimensional phase objects. One Fresnel digital hologram of each of the three-dimensional (3-D) phase objects to be classified is recorded. The electronic holograms are processed digitally to permit 3-D object information to be retrieved as two-dimensional digital complex images. We use a Mexican-hat wavelet- matched filter (WMF) to enhance the correlation peak and discriminate between the objects. The WMF performs a wavelet transform (WT) to enhance the significant features of the images and the correlation of the WT coefficients thus obtained. We compare the feasibility of a WMF-based object classifier with the matched-filter-based classifier to classify our four 3-D phase objects in a 3-D scene into true or false classes with minimal error.  相似文献
