Non-sticking droplets wrapped with fine hydrophobic particles, namely liquid marbles, can be transported both on solid and water pool without an undesired spill of the inner encapsulated liquid. While the stimuli-responsive release of the inner liquid in the target area is proposed, the time-programmed release is not yet achieved. Herein, the hydrophobicity of nanoclay is modulated via a catalyst-free 1,4-conjugate addition reaction to form liquid marbles. This nanoclay liquid marble is robust and stable in air but collapses on the liquid pool with a specific lifetime. The lifetime of the liquid marble can be modulated over seconds to hours scale depending on the selection of chemically modulated wettability of the nanoclay. The critical mechanism of lifetime modulation is responsible for controlling the coalescence kinetics between the water pool and inner liquid by nanoclays’ high diffusion length and chemically varied water spreading potential. The NC liquid marble's programmable lifetime to ‘time-bomb’ type drug release and cascade chemical reaction is applied—without requiring any external intervention. 相似文献

Kalman Filter (KF) is the optimal state estimator for linear dynamical systems in the presence of zero mean white Gaussian noise. It is a minimum mean square error (MMSE) estimator. In the present work a recursive maximum a posteriori estimator (RMAPE) has been developed from basic principles of estimation. This estimator may be used for realtime state estimation of linear dynamical systems in presence of zero mean white Gaussian noise. It is further shown here that the KF can be derived from this RMAPE algorithm, i.e. this work shows an alternative method way to derive the KF. We present a non-linear 2-D/2-D affine registration technique for MR and CT modality images of section of human brain. Automatic
registration is achieved by maximization of a similarity metric, which is the correlation function of two images. The proposed
method has been implemented by choosing a realistic, practical transformation and optimization techniques. Correlation-based
similarity metric should be maximal when two images are perfectly aligned. Since similarity metric is a non-convex function
and contains many local optima, choice of search strategy for optimization is important in registration problem. Many optimization
schemes are existing, most of which are local and require a starting point. In present study we have implemented genetic algorithm
and particle swarm optimization technique to overcome this problem. A comparative study shows the superiority and robustness

Background
Strawberry flavonoids are potent antioxidants and anti-inflammatory agents that have been shown to reduce cardiovascular disease risk factors in prospective cohort studies. Effects of strawberry supplementation on metabolic risk factors have not been studied in obese populations. We tested the hypothesis that freeze-dried strawberry powder (FSP) will lower fasting lipids and biomarkers of oxidative stress and inflammation at four weeks compared to baseline. We also tested the tolerability and safety of FSP in subjects with metabolic syndrome. FSP is a concentrated source of polyphenolic flavonoids, fiber and phytosterols. 相似文献9.

A simple small-signal model of the single-electron transistor is presented. The terminal voltage variations are considered to be sufficiently small to result in small current variations that can be expressed using linearized relations. The derivation of such relations and the development of an equivalent circuit to represent them are presented. Two-port analysis of the small-signal circuit of the single-electron transistor is proposed and explained using various parameters such as impedance parameters, admittance parameters, and hybrid parameters. The variation of the magnitude of these parameters is plotted with respect to frequency. The transconductance and drain resistances and their frequency variation are also discussed. The effect of parasitic capacitance on the proposed small-signal model is also analyzed. 相似文献
