In this paper we present an electromagnetism (EM) metaheuristic for solving NP hard Maximum Betweenness Problem (MBP). A new encoding scheme with appropriate objective functions is implemented. Specific representation of the individuals enables the EM operators to explore the searching space in a way that achieves high quality solutions. An effective 1-swap based local search procedure improved by the specific caching technique is performed on each EM point. The algorithm is tested both on real and artificial instances from the literature. Experimental results show that the proposed EM approach achieves all previously known optimal solutions, except one, and achieves the best-known solutions or outperforms other approaches on all large-scale instances, except two. Provided statistical analysis indicates that the EM approach is significantly better than other approaches.  相似文献

The effect of the reaction temperature and the metals of an iron subgroup on the thermo-chemical treatment of titanium carbide with a chlorine gas and their influence on the carbon structure obtained thereby was studied. Different analytical methods such as porosity measurements, X-ray diffraction spectrometry and a high-resolution electron microscopy revealed the catalytic behaviour of the above-mentioned metals, which appeared to support the formation of graphitised carbon at much lower temperatures compared to those needed for the ordinary thermo-chemical chlorination of titanium carbide.  相似文献

Soft and flexible electric driven transducers based on carbide-derived carbon (CDC), 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate (EMIBF4), polyvinylidenefluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene (PVdF(HFP)) are proposed, and electroactive performances of these materials are reported. By its nature, the synthesized device has two features when voltage is applied. Firstly, it is a bending-type electrochemical actuator. Besides the external change of shape, this device is also an electrochemical capacitor, providing opportunity to store a considerable amount of charge. Laminated actuators can work in open air at low voltages (1–3 V). Their operating frequency is between 5 × 10−3 – 1 × 101 Hz (it is from 5 millihertz to 200 hertz) and 10 Hz and the maximum strain calculated from transducer displacement is 0.6%. The gravimetric capacitance of CDC in actuator electrodes was found to be 119 F g−1 at 1 mV s−1 sweep rate of the applied triangle voltage. The effects of synthesis temperature of CDC and associated changes in the porosity and surface area on the actuator displacement are discussed. The results of this study demonstrated a great potential of CDC as an active material for actuator electrodes, especially in these applications where the performance of the actuator has to be standardized and highly predictable.  相似文献

Composite coatings based on lignin, obtained by electrophoretic deposition (EPD) on titanium, were investigated. The aim of this work was to produce hydroxyapatite/lignin (HAP/Lig) coatings on titanium and to investigate the effect of the lignin concentration on microstructure, morphology, phase composition, thermal behavior and cytotoxicity of the HAP/Lig coatings. An organosolv lignin was used for the production of the composite coatings studied in this research. The properties of HAP/Lig coatings were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), attenuated total reflection Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (ATR-FT-IR) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), as well as the MTT test of cytotoxicity. The results showed that higher lignin concentrations protected the HAP lattice during sintering, thereby improving the stability of the HAP/Lig coatings. The cell survival of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) after proliferation indicates that the HAP/Lig coating with 1 wt% Lig electrodeposited on titanium was non-toxic with significant promise as a potential bone-repair material.  相似文献

An easily machined novel flow field with controllable pressure gradient across adjacent channels was designed and a two dimensional, across-the-channel, two-phase model was developed to study the gas transport and water removal of the novel configuration. The effect of channel-rib width ratio, GDL thickness and pressure gradient on the profiles of oxygen concentration and water saturation within the GDL were investigated. Special attention was paid to the mechanisms of the promoted mass transport and water removal rates under a pressure gradient. The model was validated by experiments with various channel-rib ratios and GDL thicknesses at different operating pressure. The results revealed that, oxygen concentration was increased, and the water saturation was reduced under the rib with a pressure gradient generated across the adjacent channels. The optimal pressure gradient is between 0.1 to 0.2 atm for the studied channel geometry and configuration. The mechanisms of the improved cell performance were elucidated.  相似文献

Cisplatin (Cis-diamminedichloroplatinum II, CP) is an important chemotherapeutic agent, useful in the treatment of several cancers, but with several side effects such as nephrotoxicity. The present study investigated the possible protective effect of selenium (Se) against CP-induced oxidative stress in the rat kidneys. Male Wistar albino rats were injected with a single dose of cisplatin (7 mg CP/kg b.m., i.p.) and selenium (6 mg Se/kg b.m, as Na(2)SeO(3), i.p.), alone or in combination. The obtained results showed that CP increased lipid peroxidation (LPO) and decreased reduced glutathione (GSH) concentrations, suggesting the CP-induced oxidative stress, while Se treatment reversed this change to control values. Acute intoxication of rats with CP was followed by statistically significant decreased activity of antioxidant defense enzymes: superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), glutathione reductase (GR) and glutathione-S-transferase (GST). Treatment with Se reversed CP-induced alterations of antioxidant defense enzyme activities and significantly prevented the CP-induced kidney damage.  相似文献

While the beneficial impact of modifying and/or targeting T lymphocytes is becoming increasingly accepted in the treatment of different diseases, the road towards cell-based immunotherapy is still long and winding. Major challenges that remain include, amongst others, the guidance and exquisite regulation of immune processes ex vivo. In part, this is due to the difficulties of simulating ex vivo the intimate cellular interactions that occur between T cells and antigen-presenting cells (APCs). The fate of T cells is not solely regulated by the presence of certain molecules on the surface of APCs but also by their density and spatial distribution on the micro- and nanometric scale. Moreover, mechanical properties of APCs and force-dependent conformational changes during the formation of an immunological synapse (IS; a highly organized supramolecular complex at the T cell APC interface), play a crucial role in T cell fate regulation. Various different technical means have been developed to create APC substitutes that are able to simulate ex vivo signals originating from naturally occurring APCs. Here, we review the performance of APC surrogates and discuss their contribution to understanding mechanisms underlying the ability of T cells to perform the “intelligent” mission of acquiring, processing and responding to environmental information.  相似文献

A number of carbide-derived carbon (CDC) samples were synthesized through the reaction between α-SiC and gaseous chlorine at temperatures 900, 1000 and 1100 °C and by varying the amount of catalyst. The chlorides of Co(II), Ni(II) and Fe(III) were used as catalytic additives in a range of concentration of 0.1–5 wt%. The structural differences of the obtained carbons were studied by low-temperature nitrogen adsorption, X-ray diffraction and Raman spectroscopy. Results showed that porosity, specific surface area and graphitization degree of the CDC materials is a function of chlorination temperature and catalyst concentration, which agrees with previous results. It was shown that the catalytic graphitization only weakly influences the La value of the crystallites, which according to the Raman scattering is 4–5 nm in both the highly disordered SiC derived carbons and in fully graphitic carbons made from SiC containing 15 wt% of surface-contacted Co–Ni–Fe catalyst. The surface area of the CDC materials can be controlled in the range of 300–1350 m2 g−1, depending on the amount of catalysts used.  相似文献
