Discrete Wavelet Transform: Architectures, Design and Performance Issues   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
Due to the demand for real time wavelet processors in applications such as video compression [1], Internet communications compression [2], object recognition [3], and numerical analysis, many architectures for the Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) systems have been proposed. This paper surveys the different approaches to designing DWT architectures. The types of architectures depend on whether the application is 1-D, 2-D, or 3-D, as well as the style of architecture: systolic, semi-systolic, folded, digit-serial, etc. This paper presents an overview and evaluation of the architectures based on the criteria of latency, control, area, memory, and number of multipliers and adders. This paper will give the reader an indication of the advantages and disadvantages of each design.  相似文献

提出一种适合于高动态范围图象的获取和显示的强度系列成象法。改变输入图象的强度,微机控制的图象采集系统进行记录得到一组磁盘文件,形成强度图象系列。基于记录的系列图象,可以进行信息提取、变换和显示等操作。基于获得的图象系列,提出一种剪贴操作进行快速的非线性图象变换。给出对光学功率谱处理的一个实例,它相当于进行锯齿形的非线性变换。  相似文献

为提高声呐对目标航迹的检测性能,从单部声呐时间融合的角度出发,提出了一种基于Hough变换的声呐信号检测算法。该算法把航迹上的观测点变换为参数空间的对应曲线,充分利用一段时间内的目标观测数据,在低信噪比下也能从背景噪声中提取目标的航迹特征,提高了声呐的检测概率,且对部分信息和数据的缺失不敏感。仿真试验证明了该算法的有效性。  相似文献

Directional features extracted from Gabor wavelets responses were used to train a structure of self-organising maps, thus classifying each pixel in the image within a neuron-map. Resulting directional primitives were grouped into perceptual primitives introducing an extended 4D Hough transform to group pixels with similar directional features. These can then be used as perceptual primitives to detect salient structures. The proposed method has independently fixed parameters that do not need to be tuned for different kind or quality of images. We present results in application to noisy FLIR images and show that line primitives for complex structures, such as bridges, or simple structures, such as runways, can be found by this approach. We compare and demonstrate the quality of our results with those obtained through a parameter-dependent traditional Canny edge detector and Hough line finding process.  相似文献

Analysis of systems with direction-dependent dynamics is currently limited to cases in which the dynamics in the two directions of the output are first order; results for such systems have been published for both pseudo-random maximum-length binary (MLB) and inverse-repeat maximum-length binary (IR-MLB) inputs. These relatively limited analytical results make it useful to examine alternative ways of modelling such systems and in this paper, Wiener models are considered for this purpose. Methods for optimising the Wiener model parameters by matching the system and model cross-correlation functions, outputs, and discrete Fourier transforms of the outputs are considered, and the results are compared. These methods are also applied to a first-order direction-dependent system with a maximum-length ternary (MLT) input, for which no analytical results are currently available, and to a second-order system with an IR-MLB input.  相似文献

This paper introduces an efficient approach to protect the ownership by hiding an iris data into digital image for an authentication purpose. It is based on the theory of wavelets. The idea is to secretly embed biometric data (iris print) in the content of the image identifying the owner. The system is based on an empirical analysis of biometric and watermarking technologies, and it is split into several processes. The first process is based on iris image analysis, which aids the generation of the iris code (watermark); the second and the third processes deal with embedding and detecting a watermark; and the last process deals with the authentication. A new metric that measures the objective quality of the image based on the detected watermark bit is introduced, which does not require the original unmarked image for watermark detection. Simulation results show the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed approach. The text was submitted by the author in English.  相似文献

In this paper we introduce a new symmetry feature named “symmetry kernel” (SK) to support a measure of symmetry. Given any symmetry transform S, SK of a pattern P is the maximal included symmetric sub-set of P for all directions and shifts. We provide a first algorithm to exhibit this kernel where the centre of symmetry is assumed to be the centre of mass. Then we prove that, in any direction, the optimal axis corresponds to the maximal correlation of a pattern with its symmetric version. That leads to a second algorithm. The associated symmetry measure is a modified difference between the respective surfaces of a pattern and its kernel. A series of experiments supports the actual algorithm validation.  相似文献
