针对目前联机帮助系统的图文信息缺乏动态管理问题,通过分析帮助信息的数据结构,用ACCESS实现了帮助信息的超文本数据库.同时为了增加系统的可管理能力和可扩展性,提高开发效率,提出了Help Workshop结合基于ASP的软件开发方法来实现管理型联机帮助系统.该文研究和分析了此系统的设计开发过程,给出了系统的体系结构,重点阐述了具体开发步骤及其关键技术,最终实现了整个新型联机帮助系统.  相似文献

Abstract A new approach to software training is presented, the so‐called Double‐Fading Support (DFS) approach. According to this approach, which is based on Carroll's training‐wheels idea and on cognitive theories of skill acquisition, two types of user support when learning to use a complex software system — locking the software's functionality and detailed guidance — are faded out gradually during the training course, so that the learners are able to use the complex software with minimal instructional support at the end of the training. Two 30‐hour training experiments with two different CAD software systems and CAD‐inexperienced university students were conducted. The results of Experiment 1 with 88 participants indicate the effectiveness of the DFS‐approach for CAD software with a deeply structured menu system. Participants working with the initially reduced software outperformed participants of the full software functionality group; additionally, participants of the slowly faded guidance group outperformed participants receiving medium, fast or no fading of guidance at all. Results of Experiment 2 with 120 participants, however, indicate less effectiveness of the DFS‐approach for an icon‐based CAD software in which most of relevant functions are permanently visible to the user. It seems that the two factors (fading out the locking of software's functionality and fading out detailed guidance) overcompensate each other.  相似文献

When it comes time to write some computer code the hardware of choice today is a workstation running the Unix operating system. This paper considers the problem of new users faced with Unix. It presents a number of possible solutions and elaborates on one which provides a graphical help system. This latter help system may be accessed via a pointing device which leads initially to a picture of a help structure, nodes in the structure may be selected to display the associated help text. Self-stigma is an important factor in people's decisions not to engage in therapy. To measure this construct, the authors developed the 10-item Self-Stigma of Seeking Help (SSOSH) scale. In Study 1 (n = 583), the SSOSH had a unidimensional factor structure and good reliability (.91) among participants. Study 2 (n = 470) confirmed the factor structure. Studies 2, 3 (n = 546), and 4 (n = 217) cross-validated the reliability (.86 to .90; test-retest, .72) and showed evidence of validity (construct, criterion, and predictive) across the study samples. The SSOSH uniquely predicted attitudes toward and intent to seek psychological help. Finally, in Study 5 (n = 655) the SSOSH differentiated those who sought psychological services from those who did not across a 2-month period. Many interactive systems offer assistance when users have difficulties in operating or using them. In spite of the overwhelming variety of assistance techniques available, it is often unclear what type of assistance is really needed and how special assistance functions should be designed. The first step towards theoretically solid design decisions is a conceptual framework and a comprehensive taxonomy of assistance. This paper proposes to define assistance as access to machine functions and provides a taxonomy based mainly on action stages to be assisted. These stages are: (1) motivation, activation and goal setting; (2) perception; (3) information integration, generating situation awareness; (4) decision-making, action selection; (5) action execution; and (6) processing feedback of action results. In analogy to social assistance, various types of technical assistance are assigned to the six action stages. As additional dimensions to classify assistance, we also discuss adjustment, initiative, presentation media and input modality.  相似文献
