Occupational Factors and 5-Year Weight Change Among Men in a Danish National Cohort.

This study explored whether factors related to the work environment could predict changes in body mass index (BMI) and whether the effect of psychosocial factors was dependent on baseline BMI. The sample consisted of 1,980 male employees from the Danish National Work Environment Cohort Study. Changes in BMI between 1995 and 2000 were analyzed, by multiple regression, as a function of background variables and a series of occupational variables obtained in 1995. Age, baseline BMI, job insecurity, and psychological demands predicted changes in BMI. Job insecurity and high or low psychological demands increased the likelihood of weight gain among obese employees, whereas they increased the likelihood of weight loss among employees with a low BMI. 阴离子表面活性剂测定方法的探讨

本文对“阴离子表面活性剂的测定方法”进行探讨,优化了显色剂、萃取剂的用量及萃取频率等分析条件,有效地降低了方法的检出浓度,提高了分析精度及准确度,节约大量试剂。本法最低检出浓度的0.019mL/L。     

钢包钢水保温覆盖剂的开发

研制了钢包钢水新型保温覆盖剂，主要成分为（%）；15-25C，20-35SiO2,10-20Al2O3,2-5Fe2O3,15-25CaO,2-5MgO，新覆盖剂铺展性与保温性能良好。经转炉钢水160t钢包生产使用，统计数据表明，镇静15min后钢水降温速度由原碳化稻壳覆盖剂1.33℃/min降低到0.93℃/min。

Design Errors: Inefficiency or Carelessness of Designer?

Design defects are experienced in many projects; the difference is only in the extent of occurrence. This technical note discusses a design error case in a building project in Nepal, where the designer made the wrong assumptions in roof treatment work for waterproofing as well as for heat insulation purposes. From the investigation of the problem, it was found that the waterproofing polymer was not applied directly over concrete slab top. Use of heavy concrete block as a heat insulation material also helped to increase the leakage problem. The problem evoked loss of prestige for project officials, the design consortium, and the contractor.
