Investigation of the Anti-Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus Activity of (+)-Tanikolide- and (+)-Malyngolide-Based Analogues Prepared by Asymmetric Synthesis

Herein, we report antibacterial and antifungal evaluation of a series of previously prepared (+)-tanikolide analogues. One analogue, (4S,6S)-4-methyltanikolide, displayed promising anti-methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus activity with a MIC of 12.5 µg/mL. Based on the antimicrobial properties of the structurally related (−)-malyngolide, two further analogues (4S,6S)-4-methylmalyngolide and (4R,6S)-4-methylmalyngolide bearing a shortened n-nonyl alkyl side chain were prepared in the present study using a ZrCl₄-catalysed deprotection/cyclisation as the key step in their asymmetric synthesis. When these were tested for activity against anti-methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, the MIC increased to 50 µg/mL.     

Time Dependence and Moments of a Family of Time-Varying Parameter Garch in Mean Models

Abstract.  In this paper we consider the time series dependence, stationarity, and higher moments issues of a family of first-order conditionally heteroskedastic in mean models with a possibly time-varying mean parameter. The interest in these models lies in the fact that economic theory and physics often require the connection between the first and second conditional moments of time series. Our results reveal important properties of these models, which are consistent with stylized facts in financial and turbulence data sets. They can also be employed for model identification, estimation, and testing.

对氯丁橡胶并用高苯乙烯树脂进行了实验，通过正交试验法对硫化体系做了优化选择，确定了制作齿形胶带的最佳配方，提高了胶带使用寿命。     

Effect of polymer density on polyethylene hollow fiber membrane formation via thermally induced phase separation

Microporous high‐density polyethylene (HDPE) and low‐density polyethylene (LDPE) hollow fiber membranes were prepared from polyethylene–diisodecyl phthalate solution via thermally induced phase separation. Effect of the polyethylene density on the membrane structure and performance was investigated. The HDPE membrane showed about five times higher water permeability than the LDPE membrane because it had the larger pore and the higher porosity at the outer membrane surface. The formation of the larger pore was owing to both the initial larger structure formed by spinodal decomposition and the suppression of the diluent evaporation from the outer membrane surface due to the higher solution viscosity. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Some novel polymer-supported optically active phase transfer catalysts: 2. Use in displacement,reduction, epoxidation and addition reactions

The performance of 27 novel polymer-supported chiral phase transfer catalysts in a range of phase separated reactions has been studied. The later include a number of displacement reactions, sodium borohydride reductions of prochiral ketones, the epoxidation of chalcone, the addition of nitromethane to chalcone and the addition of thiophenol to cyclohexenone. Some of the reactions were performed under liquid/liquid conditions and others using solid/liquid. No systematic difference emerged between these. In general many of the catalysts provided fast reactions and good chemical yields of products. However, in no case was any significant enantiomeric excess achieved. The latter observation is discussed in the light of the reported behaviour of analogous non-supported catalytic systems, and suggestions proposed to explain these differences.     

内部信息不对称下IT项目外包决策风险测度

从企业内部信息不对称的角度对项目外包决策风险进行定量化研究,通过内部信息不对称事件发生的概率、内部信息不对称度、内部信息不对称对外包决策的损失及内部信息不对称对决策产生风险的可管理性4个方面建立了IT项目外包内部信息不对称的风险度函数,并结合具体实例进行了应用分析,分析结果对于企业今后在外包决策时进行风险控制具有一定的借鉴意义。     

某矿区防雷改造措施分析

针对某矿区220kV线路根据雷电分布图采取的差异性防雷措施效果不理想的问题,分析了风速对线路绕击性能的影响;并结合风速风向和雷电分布图,对该矿区采取以下防雷改造措施:在与风向垂直的线路区的背风侧安装线路避雷器防绕击;对属于危险区域且线路与季风垂直的区域,采用防低接地电阻和安装线路避雷器防反击和绕击;对属于危险区域但受季风影响不是很大的区域,降低杆塔接地电阻防反击。实际运行效果表明,采取防雷改造措施后该矿区线路取得了较好的防雷效果。
