Memorializes John Bissell (Jack) Carroll, an early leader in the development of psycholinguistics and a dominant contributor to psychometrics and the study of individual differences in cognitive abilities. His seminal work in evaluating foreign language proficiencies across multiple cultures combined his expertise in psycholinguistics with that in psychometrics and defined fundamental issues in the study of language acquisition. 浅谈交际英语教学法与我国国情的结合

在英语广泛传播的现今,一些非英语国家在得到经济效益的同时,也面临着随之而来的文化危机.因此,英语教师在介绍英语语言和文化的同时,也应该认识到坚持和保护本民族文化的重要性.寻找既能提高学生英语水平,又能培养其民族归属感的英语教学法迫在眉睫,本文对当今比较流行的交际英语教学法如何与我国具体国情相结合进行了研究,并提出了几点建议.     

德语交际教学法的课堂教学行为设计

在现代德语教学中,教师越来越重视交际教学法的应用。但是在具体课堂教学行为的设计上,却还是处在初级探索阶段,存在不少问题。为此,通过对交际教学法的课堂教学行为设计进行实例分析,以期提高中国学生的德语交流能力,从而为跨文化交流做出贡献,也为他们今后的出国交流和深造打下良好的基础。     

外语泛读课“互动阅读＂教学法探索

泛读课是外语专业在基础阶段的必修课。“互动阅读”教学法的实践,调动了学生的积极性。课堂教学要改革,教材要跟着变,教师的教学方法也要变,教师的责任和敬业更需要加强。     

第二语言课堂交流意愿研究

本研究以Gardner的社会教育模型和MacIntyre等人的L2交际意愿模型为理论依据者,通过问卷调查、课堂观察和访谈相结合,调查了复合型专业本科生英语交流意愿和影响交流意愿的因素。研究发现：(1)被试者对自己的交际能力评价中等,交流意愿中等;(2)课堂活动态度对交流意愿有预测作用;(3)被试者以往的学习经历和体验对交流意愿有负面影响。     

基于输出理论的教学模式研究

以二语习得理论为出发点,输出理论为基础,研究能够有效提高学习者二语习得的教学模式。首先阐释了输出理论和输入理论的关系以及研究输出理论的重要性,其次分析了输出理论在二语习得中的重要作用,然后探讨了以输出理论为基础的教学模式,旨在提高二语教学水平和学习者二语习得能力。

Toward Self‐Motivated,Cognitive, Continually Planning Agents

We present a flexible initial framework for defining self‐motivated, self‐aware agents in simulated worlds, planning continuously so as to maximize long‐term rewards. While such agents employ reasoned exploration of feasible sequences of actions and corresponding states, they also behave opportunistically and recover from failure, thanks to their continual plan updates and quest for rewards. Our framework allows for both specific and general (quantified) knowledge and for epistemic predicates such as knowing‐that and knowing‐whether. Because realistic agents have only partial knowledge of their world, the reasoning of the proposed agents uses a weakened closed‐world assumption; this has consequences for epistemic reasoning, in particular introspection. The planning operators allow for quantitative, gradual change and side effects such as the passage of time, changes in distances and rewards, and language production, using a uniform procedural attachment method. Question answering (involving introspection) and experimental runs are shown for our particular agent ME in a simple world, demonstrating the value of continual deliberate, reward‐driven planning. Though the primary merit of agents definable in our framework is that they combine all of the aforementioned features, they can also be configured as single or multiple goal‐seeking agents and as such perform comparably with some recent experimental agents.     

Photo Noise

Like past avant-garde movements, glitch and noise in the twenty-first century are used to reveal the materiality of the medium. But instead of providing insight or clarity into the politics or social conditions of a technology, they demarcate broader conditions of opacity and blockage, contributing to what Jodi Dean has called ‘communicative capitalism’. The work of German photographer Thomas Ruff alongside the Düsseldorf School, New Photography and JPEG technology are used in this article to illustrate this tendency as a move away from meaning and toward visual noise and communicative breakdown. I use three core analytic registers: the deliberate failure to adhere to visual norms, communicative failure and machine failure and breakdown. Ruff’s work uses visual noise as art to at once reaffirm pervasive conditions of breakdown, failure and decline in high-tech global capitalism, while simultaneously providing a temporary reprieve from these conditions through an emergent form of visual beauty.

目的确定设计语用学研究范畴,建立设计语用学的研究范式,进而通过设计语用学理论发展对设计方法论提供新的理论依据。方法从设计符号传播语境视角出发,对设计方、用户和用户的社交对象之间的设计符号传播模式进行论述。结论结合整合营销传播理论和设计事理学理论,得出了设计语用学的研究范畴、研究意义、研究核心及整合产品设计营销传播与定义设计符号使用场景两种设计语用学的研究路径,完成了设计语用学的理论框架。
