Classifying mental tasks based on features of higher-order statistics from EEG signals in brain-computer interface

In order to characterize the non-Gaussian information contained within the EEG signals, a new feature extraction method based on bispectrum is proposed and applied to the classification of right and left motor imagery for developing EEG-based brain-computer interface systems. The experimental results on the Graz BCI data set have shown that based on the proposed features, a LDA classifier, SVM classifier and NN classifier outperform the winner of the BCI 2003 competition on the same data set in terms of either the mutual information, the competition criterion, or misclassification rate.     

齿轮裂纹故障的双谱分析

齿轮振动信号中的非线性给故障特征的提取带来较大难度,通过分析裂纹齿轮振动信号非线性产生的原因,利用双谱分析具有提取信号非线性耦合特征的能力,将双谱分析应用于齿轮裂纹的故障诊断中。试验结果表明,该方法能够有效地将正常及不同裂纹程度的齿轮区分开来。     

高速模数转换器动态偏置误差检测的双谱方法

本文给出了考虑噪声和动态误差时的高速模数转换器（ＡＤＣ）的动态传输模型。提出了利用双谱分析高速ＡＤＣ动态偏置误差的方法。同时，指出双谱方法可以明显地减小ＡＤＣ噪声本底对微小偏置误差测量的影响，提高测量的灵敏度和精度。最后给出的计算机模拟测试结果表明，双谱法比功率法具有更高的检测分辨率和抗噪声能力。     

A DIAGNOSTIC TEST FOR NONLINEAR SERIAL DEPENDENCE IN TIME SERIES FITTING ERRORS

Abstract. Time series analysts have begun to consider the applicability of nonlinear models. In order for nonlinear models to be accepted by practitioners, practicai tests must be avilable to test for the presence of nonlinearity in both raw time series and in the residuals from fitted models. A diagnostic test, based on the bispectrum, for the presence of nonlinear serial dependence in these time series is investigated here using artificial data. Detection of such nonlinear dependence is taken to indicate that nonlinear modelling methods are necessary. The theory behind the test is reviewed and simulations driven by pseudorandom numbers are presented for a variety of models and sample sizes. The simulations indicate that the test has substantial power for many models. In addition, theoretical and empirical results are presented which show that the bispectral diagnostic test is equally powerful for both the source series and for the fitting errors from a line& model. Thus, while the test is suitable for use as a diagnostic test on the fitting errors of linear time series models, prior linear modeling of the time series is not required.     

水声信号的非高斯特性分析与检测方法的研究

本文研究了海洋环境噪声和船舶噪声的高斯性,通过实验研究发现,纯净的海洋环境噪声(夜晚无行船时)呈现出高斯性,反之是非高斯;船舶噪声是服从非高斯的,另外无论海洋环境噪声,还是船舶噪声,在相等样本长度下,在不同频段的高斯性上也有差异,分析频段越低,统计量越大,反之统计量越小.基于高阶累积量T2在船舶由远及近的过程中的变化规律,研究了非高斯背景下非高斯信号的一种检测方法,即在海洋环境噪声下检测船舶噪声的方法.通过实船实验得到了满意的结果.     

基于双谱估计的滚动轴承故障特征的研究

提出了基于双谱估计的滚动轴承诊断的方法。利用双谱函数做出滚动轴承故障信号的特征图谱，并加以分析。实验表明，双谱可以敏感地监测滚动轴承故障的出现，并且可以有效地识别滚动轴承不同的故障特征。     

Improved phase estimation based on complete bispectrum and modified group delay

In this paper, a new method for extracting the system phase from the bispectrum of the system output has been proposed. This is based on the complete bispectral data computed in the frequency domain and modified group delay. The frequency domain bispectrum computation improves the frequency resolution and the modified group delay reduces the variance preserving the frequency resolution. The use of full bispectral data also reduces the variance as it is used for averaging. For the proposed method at a signal to noise ratio of 5dB, the reduction in root mean square error is in the range of 1.5–7 times over the other methods considered.     

A RELATION FOR 'LINEARITY' OF THE BISPECTRUM

Abstract. A relation is presented which is a necessary and sufficient condition for the bispectrum to be of the linear process type.     

基于瞬时转速和双谱的内燃机故障诊断研究

首先对双谱分析和瞬时转速信号的特点进行分析，测量6135柴油机在正常、轻微故障和严重故障三种状态下的瞬时转速，分别计算其双谱，得到了具有明显区别的双谱幅值图；通过计算双谱对角切片，可以容易且有效地识别故障的存在；进一步分析双谱相位信息，可以确定单缸断油时的故障缸位置。根据瞬时转速的双谱特征进行故障诊断，故障特征明显，诊断效果良好。     

双谱用于毫米波雷达目标特征提取的研究

在毫米波雷达系统中,信噪比对作用距离的影响很大。本文利用双谱技术提取出目标信号双谱的局部相位信息作为特征矢量;该特征良好的抗噪性大大降低了目标识别对雷达系统信噪比的要求,从而提高了毫米波雷达的灵敏度及作用距离。
