In this study, a multi-tubular thermally coupled packed bed reactor in which simultaneous production of ammonia and methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) takes place is simulated. The simulation results are presented in two co-current and counter-current flow modes. Based on this new configuration, the released heat from the ammonia synthesis reaction as an extremely exothermic reaction in the inner tube is employed to supply the required heat for the endothermic 2-butanol dehydrogenation reaction in the outer tube. On the other hand, MEK and hydrogen are produced by the dehydrogenation reaction of 2-butanol in the endothermic side, and the produced hydrogen is used to supply a part of the ammonia synthesis feed in the exothermic side. Thus, 30.72% and 31.88% of the required hydrogen for the ammonia synthesis are provided by the dehydrogenation reaction in the co-current and counter-current configurations, respectively. Also, according to the thermal coupling, the required cooler and furnace for the ammonia synthesis and 2-butanol dehydrogenation conventional plants are eliminated, respectively. As a result, operational costs, energy consumption and furnace emissions are considerably decreased. Finally, a sensitivity analysis and optimization are applied to study the effect of the main process parameters variation on the system performance and obtain the minimum hydrogen make-up flow rate, respectively. 相似文献

This study focuses on the relationship between photo-catalytic performance and optical property over Si-incorporated TiO2. The Si-incorporated TiO2 particles exhibited a pure structure of anatase having a particle size of less than 20 nm and surface area of more than 190 m2/g. The absorbance did not shift to a higher wavelength in spite of the incorporation of the Si ions, but the intensity of the photoluminescence (PL) curve was the smallest in the case of the 2.0 mol% Si-TiO2, which was related to the recombination between the excited electrons and holes. Based on these results, the photodecomposition of methyl orange in the liquid reaction was enhanced over the 2.0 mol% Si-incorporated TiO2 compared with that over pure TiO2: Methyl orange at 10.0 ppm was completely decomposed after 100 min when 1.0 g of the 2.0 mol% Si-incorporated TiO2 was used. 相似文献

Heteropolyphosphotungstic acid (H3PW12O40) (HPA)-encapsulated titanium-supported SBA15 nanoporous materials (HPA-TiSBA-15) were synthesized as a new photocatalyst, and they were characterized by FT-IR and 31P NMR MAS spectroscopic methods. Their photocatalytic effects on degradation of methyl orange in water were investigated under natural conditions, and it was found that a 4-fold increase in the photodegradation rate is observed in the presence of HPA-TiSBA-15 as compared to the rate observed in the presence of titanium-supported SBA15 nanoporous materials (TiSBA-15) without HPA. 相似文献

Transesterification of waste fryer grease (WFG) containing 5–6 wt.% free fatty acid (FFA) was carried out with methanol, ethanol, and mixtures of methanol/ethanol maintaining the oil to alcohol molar ratio of 1:6, and initially with KOH as a catalyst. Mixtures of methanol and ethanol were used for transesterification in order to use the better solvent property of ethanol and rapid equilibrium using methanol. Formation of soap by reaction of FFA present in WFG with KOH instigated difficulty in the separation of glycerol from biodiesel ester. To untangle this problem, two-stage (acid and alkali catalyzed) method was used for biodiesel synthesis. More than 90% ester was obtained when two-stage method was used compared to ∼ 50% ester in single stage alkaline catalyst. In the case of mixed alcohol, a relatively smaller amount of ethyl esters was formed along with methyl esters. Acid value, viscosity, and cetane number of all the esters prepared from WFG were within the range of the ASTM standard. Esters obtained from WFG showed good performance as a lubricity additive. 相似文献

Nanocrystalline thin films of important surface roughness and complexity were prepared by screen-printing of commercial TiO2 powder. The screen-printed titania films were tested in the photocatalytic decomposition reaction of methyl orange under UV light (350 nm). The photocatalytic activity strongly depends on the titania paste components and especially on the presence of a surface modifier (acetyl acetone) combined with a rheology controlling agent (ethyl cellulose). This results in improvement of the paste viscosity and optimization of the films morphology. Several different control structures have been proposed for reactive distillation columns. The appropriate control structure depends on the flowsheet and on the type of reactions occurring in the column. If two reactants are involved and if it is desirable to operate the process without any excess of reactant, it is necessary to manage the fresh feed streams so that the stoichiometry is exactly balanced. A composition analyzer that measures an internal composition in the column is often required. However, if two products are produced, it is possible to avoid the use of an analyzer by using two temperatures in the column to adjust the two feed streams. This type of structure was proposed by Roat et al. [Roat, S., Downs. J., Vogel, E., Doss, J., 1986. Integration of rigorous dynamic modeling and control system synthesis for distillation columns. In: Chemical Process Control—CPC III. Elsevier, Amsterdam.] for the ideal reaction A+B↔C+D in one of the earliest papers dealing with reactive distillation control.The purpose of this paper is to explore the effectiveness of this two-temperature control structure for various column designs (number of reactive stages) to quantify the impact of design on controllability. We also discuss the issues of the selection of the trays whose temperatures are to be controlled and the tuning of the two interacting temperature controllers. Disturbances in production rate and fresh feed compositions are made to examine the rangeability of this control structure. Both an ideal reaction system and the methyl acetate system are studied. One of the main conclusions is that the locations of the temperature control trays should be made such that the two temperature controllers both have direct action (an increase in temperature increases feed), which requires negative openloop process gains for both loops. 相似文献

研究燃料汽车及其氢源系统是当今国内外能源工业与汽车工业的共同课题,而优选制氢能源则是这一课题的关键。章介绍了利用能源、经济、环境(EEE)——生命周期评估(LCA)这一综合评估方法,针对以天然气、煤或石油作为制氢能源的多种燃料电池氢源供应方式以及配套的燃料电池汽车系统,从经济性、能源利用效率和环境影响三个方面进行了生命周期清单分析和EEE综合评价。结果显示:天然气作为发展燃料电池汽车氢源的一次能源,具有氢制取技术路线多样化、经济上竞争力强、能源利用效率高和环境效益好等诸多优势,应为燃料电池汽车的首选制氢能源。对这一评估模型的敏感性分析显示,即使在天然气价格波动较大时,天然气制甲醇--甲醇车载重整车和天然气制氢--纯氢车这两个方案仍然最具优势。 相似文献
