The rapid evolution of microelectronics and communication techniques has resulted in changes with far-reaching consequences. For sure, these technologies include a lot of additional possibilities. However, feasibility does not necessarily mean usefulness, and not everything meaningful is affordable. Investment in the modernization of a plant has to be cost-effective. Apart from lifetime extension and adaptation to new challenges, this necessitates optimized and flexible modes of operation, minimized personnel concepts, higher efficency — briefly, economical business. Modern process control technique is an efficient instrument for resolving these problems. In order to have an optimal investment payment, process and control technique must be connected in a useful way. Planning engineers analyze meticulously the old process, they consider optimizations, and develop a comprehensible survey on the basis of their knowledge and their extensive experiences. Once the upgrade volume and the processes are co-ordinated, the realization can start. Thanks to efficient electronic planning tools, good installation techniques and experienced experts, downtimes are shortened in spite of large reconstruction projects. 相似文献
