A coating method was developed that allows the carrier‐based synthesis of MFI zeolite on the inner surface of steel pipes. Besides varying the synthetic route, the type and concentration of the reactants the influence of other parameters on the growth of ZSM‐5‐crusts on the inner surface of the steel pipes was studied. It was confirmed that the deposition characteristics of zeolitic structures on the inner wall of tubes depend on the chosen pathway and are sensitive to all these parameters. Appropriate ways to control the layer formation were developed. 相似文献

This article reviews the current applications of micro reactors in the field of combinatorial chemistry and discusses how the methodology could be applied to drug discovery. Liquid phase reactions have been used to illustrate the advantages of performing chemical reactions in micro reactors which illustrate that reactions can be performed very rapidly in high conversion to enable the preparation of combinatorial libraries of structurally related compounds. 相似文献

In the present study a biowaste, in the form of chicken eggshells, is used for producing a biomaterial – hydroxyapatite by a conventional chemical precipitation method. Hydroxyapatite is a major component of human hard tissues, such as bones and teeth, which makes it a paradigmatic bioactive material. The first step in the synthesis of hydroxyapatite from eggshells is the transformation of their main component calcium carbonate into calcium oxide at 1000 °C. Afterwards, calcium oxide is hydrated in order to produce calcium hydroxide. Hydroxyapatite is then synthesized by the addition of the phosphoric acid. The phase composition of the eggshells is examined by the powder X‐ray diffraction. The surface morphology of the sintered product is determined by the scanning electron microscope equipped with the energy dispersive spectrometer. Powder X‐ray diffraction and scanning electron microscope analyses confirmed hydroxyapatite as the main phase of the final product. The reuse of chicken eggshells reduces the amount of biowaste, as well as the need for the biowaste management. This investigation shows that the eggshells can be a useful raw material for the synthesis of valuable biomaterials. 相似文献

Organic Synthesis with Microstructured Reactors This article describes the chances microstructured reactors offer for chemical plant engineering. This suitability for chemical production is commonly regarded to be the key to the market penetration. Seen in the long term, there is potential that new plants can be equipped with microstructured reactors. Only economic balances, however, which draw up profitability, will open the door to the usage of chemical micro process engineering for plant construction. Main arguments for using microstructured reactors are thus enhanced conversion and selectivity, increased space‐time yields, waste reduction and more safety via small reactor volumes. Credit‐card sized reaction systems allow one to perform the screening of multi‐phase reactions. More prominent, similar screening is carried out for single‐step reactions. Moreover, safe processing with microstructured reactors in the explosive regime enlarges the traditional range of processing. The reaction guidance by microstructured reactors can further influence subsequent processing steps such as product purification and, in this way, can lower the energy costs of processes. 相似文献
