Off‐grid DoA estimation method of wideband signals

In this paper, an off‐grid direction of arrival (DoA) estimation method is proposed for wideband signals. This method is based on the sparse representation (SR) of the array covariance matrix. Similar to the time domain DoA estimation methods, the correlation function of the sources was assumed to be the same and known. A new measurement vector is obtained using the lower‐left triangular elements of the covariance matrix. The DoAs are estimated by quantizing the entire range of continuous angle space into discrete grid points. However, the exact DoAs may be located between two grid points; therefore, this estimation has errors. The accuracy of DoA estimation is improved by the minimization of the difference between the new measurement vector and its estimated values. Simulation results revealed that the proposed method can enhance the DoA estimation accuracy of wideband signals.     

Impact of shape representation schemes used in discrete element modelling of particle packing

In different computer models, shape is represented using different methodologies, to varying degrees of precision. This paper examines two approaches to shape representation, and their effects on accuracy in the context of cylindrical particle packing. Two discrete element method (DEM) based software packages are used. A X-ray CT scan of a packed bed provides the experimental measurements for comparison. Eight sphere-composite representations of the same cylindrical pellet were tested. Two of these gave results that quantitatively follow experimental measurements. A range of factors that in theory could affect accuracy of the simulation results are examined, including edge roundedness, surface roughness and restitutional behaviour as a function of sphere-composite representations. The conclusion is that, for packing at least, matching the object's overall shape and dimensions is not enough. Only when a high enough resolution is applied to corners and edges, could the sphere-composite approach possibly match the experimental data quantitatively.

探讨加强质量监督管理提高电网安全水平

电网的安全水平主要取决于其使用产品的质量是否过关。如果产品的质量较好，则能建造出优质的电网，电网的安全水平便会随之提高。因此，应加强对产品质量的监督管理，从而提高电网的安全水平。我们可建立质量监督管理系统，及时抽检出质量不过关的产品，从而消除电网运行过程中潜在的安全隐患。     

变频调速技术在定量包装机中的应用

介绍一种基于变频调速控制的全自动定量包装机，结构简单，组态灵活，性价比高，可广泛应用于食品饲料等行业，现场运行实践证明其通用性好，准确度和可靠性高、速度快、稳定性好。并论述变频器控制系统的设计及使用中的注意问题。     

高性能调度技术中应用程序调度模型设计--地理空间信息网格调度技术的研究

地理空间信息网格调度技术，要比传统的高性能计算中的调度技术复杂，原因是如果将全部网格资源作为一个应用程序的调度和执行目标，必将导致通信延迟、成本昂贵、执行低效等。为此，综合考虑应用程序特性、机器特性等，研究设计了地理空间信息网格高性能调度技术中的应用程序调度模型，包括地理空间信息网格应用程序分析；资源特性分析；应用程序分解；性能预测；资源调度；机器选择；任务映射；任务调度；任务调度器和调度器管理模块。以实现为不同的应用程序匹配不同的计算资源，提高计算资源的利用率和应用程序的执行效率。     

Cartesian grid methods using radial basis functions for solving Poisson, Helmholtz, and diffusion–convection equations

Four methods that solve the Poisson, Helmholtz, and diffusion–convection problems on Cartesian grid by collocation with radial basis functions are presented. Each problem is split into a problem with an inhomogeneous equation and homogeneous boundary conditions, and a problem with a homogeneous equation and inhomogeneous boundary conditions. The former problem is solved by collocation with multiquadrics, whereas the latter problem is solved by collocation with either multiquadrics or fundamental solutions. It is found that methods that make use of fundamental solutions for collocation yield more accurate solutions that are less sensitive to the shape parameter of multiquadrics and node arrangement. Additional collocation appears to improve the quality of solutions.
