Eighty-seven pet dogs (Canis familiaris) were involved in an experiment in which they had to solve a task to obtain a ball. After witnessing a full demonstration by their owner (10 times pushing the handle of the box, which released a ball), most dogs preferred to touch the handle sooner and more frequently in comparison with other parts of the box, and they used the handle to get the ball. In contrast dogs in 3 control groups developed their own respective methods. The lack of emergence of the ball and playing after the demonstration did not affect the learning performance strongly. Senescence marker protein 30 (SMP30) is a cell survival factor playing an important role in vitamin C synthesis and antiapoptosis. Moreover, its cytoprotective role suggests a possibility to be related to cancer cell survival. Mammary carcinoma is a common cancer in both humans and animals. Because of its histopathological diversity, especially in the early stage, histopathological diagnosis may be complicated; therefore, a diagnostic marker is helpful for confirmation. The present study analyzed the expression pattern of SMP30 in mammary carcinoma in humans, dogs, and cats. Immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and western blot analysis were used to investigate SMP30 expression patterns. The expression was specifically observed in neoplastic glandular epithelial cells. The expression increased with the malignancy of glandular epithelial cells with a highly proliferative status. However, SMP30 expression was low in normal mammary gland tissues or well-differentiated adenoma tissues. The patterns were consistently reproduced in canine primary mammary carcinoma cells and MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 human carcinoma cell lines. This study provides useful information to understand SMP30 expression in various stages of mammary carcinoma and to suggest its utility as a pan-species diagnostic marker, thereby helping to establish strategies for diagnosing mammary carcinoma in several species.  相似文献

Dogs' (Canis familiaris) and cats' (Felis catus) interspecific communicative behavior toward humans was investigated. In Experiment 1, the ability of dogs and cats to use human pointing gestures in an object-choice task was compared using 4 types of pointing cues differing in distance between the signaled object and the end of the fingertip and in visibility duration of the given signal. Using these gestures, both dogs and cats were able to find the hidden food; there was no significant difference in their performance. In Experiment 2, the hidden food was made inaccessible to the subjects to determine whether they could indicate the place of the hidden food to a naive owner. Cats lacked some components of attention-getting behavior compared with dogs. The results suggest that individual familiarization with pointing gestures ensures high-level performance in the presence of such gestures; however, species-specific differences could cause differences in signaling toward the human. 采用低温等离子体对狗毛进行预处理,研究了等离子体预处理条件对狗毛吸附Fe3+性能的影响.结果表明:等离子体处理条件对狗毛Fe3+的吸附性能有很大影响,经适当条件等离子体预处理的狗毛对Fe3+的吸附能力及吸附速率显著提高,最大吸附量可达36.96 mg/g,比未处理狗毛的Fe3+吸附量提高了15.23 mg/g;而且脱吸附后的狗毛还可以重复利用.  相似文献

文章基于CD4060芯片的单片机应用系统硬件看门狗技术,给出了实用的硬件电路图并详细地分析了其工作原理,讨论了喂狗指令插入原理和喂狗指令插入位置的问题,对上电复位和看门狗信号复位两种不同情况下,应用软件的不同处理过程,也进行了详细的论述。实践证明,本文所介绍的硬件看门狗技术对提高单片机应用系统的抗干扰能力是行之有效的,已成功地使用在多个实际的MCU应用系统中,保证了系统的可靠运行。  相似文献

焊接作为结构连接的一种重要形式被广泛应用于钢结构中.焊接过程中由于温度梯度产生的焊接残余应力,给实际工程安全带来很大的威胁,所以研究钢结构在焊接过程中产生的残余应力是十分必要的.利用有限元数值模拟软件ANSYS建立狗骨式梁柱节点顶底角钢、焊缝、螺栓混合连接的三维有限元模型,模拟梁柱节点焊接的温度场,在热弹塑性理论基础上求解焊接残余应力.结果表明:构件在焊接过程中主要受拉,并且在不同位置的应力各不相同.由于狗骨式节点的存在,削弱了节点对梁部分的约束.在梁上翼缘螺栓上出现焊接残余应力的最大值,在腹板角钢与柱连接的中间螺栓处出现最小值.这与规范中的规定基本相符.  相似文献

Stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) is known to induce important immunologic changes within the tumor microenvironment (TME). However, little is known regarding the early immune responses within the TME in the first few weeks following SBRT. Therefore, we used the canine spontaneous tumor model to investigate TME responses to SBRT, and how local injection of immune modulatory antibodies to OX40 and TLR 3/9 agonists might modify those responses. Pet dogs with spontaneous cancers (melanoma, carcinoma, sarcoma, n = 6 per group) were randomized to treatment with either SBRT or SBRT combined with local immunotherapy. Serial tumor biopsies and serum samples were analyzed for immunologic responses. SBRT alone resulted at two weeks after treatment in increased tumor densities of CD3+ T cells, FoxP3+ Tregs, and CD204+ macrophages, and increased expression of genes associated with immunosuppression. The addition of OX40/TLR3/9 immunotherapy to SBRT resulted in local depletion of Tregs and tumor macrophages and reduced Treg-associated gene expression (FoxP3), suppressed macrophage-associated gene expression (IL-8), and suppressed exhausted T cell-associated gene expression (CTLA4). Increased concentrations of IL-7, IL-15, and IL-18 were observed in serum of animals treated with SBRT and immunotherapy, compared to animals treated with SBRT. A paradoxical decrease in the density of effector CD3+ T cells was observed in tumor tissues that received combined SBRT and immunotherapy as compared to animals treated with SBRT only. In summary, these results obtained in a spontaneous large animal cancer model indicate that addition of OX40/TLR immunotherapy to SBRT modifies important immunological effects both locally and systemically.  相似文献
