The study presented in this paper aims at improving the current understanding of human-robot interaction by adopting a psychological approach. The acceptability of robotic devices in home settings, especially by elderly people, does not depend only on the practical benefits they can provide, but on complex relationships between the cognitive, affective and emotional components of peoples images of robots. This study has investigated the main dimensions of these representations, by comparing the attitudes towards technology in general, and domestic robots in particular, held by people at different stages of the lifespan. A hydrogen fuel cell combines oxygen and hydrogen to generate electricity, which becomes a promising power source. The conditions of the fuel cell, such as health status, and faults, are essential for ensuring the continuous power supplying. There are technologies and algorithms carried out for fuel cell health monitoring, fault diagnosis, and prediction, lifespan prediction. For a comprehensive understanding, this paper proposed a comprehensive overview of the work on fuel cell conditions monitoring technology. It reviewed the works of literature from two different points of view, technology, and scenario. For technology view, there are model-based method, filter-based method, and data motivated method. For scenario views, it proposed a 5 × 5 tables for detail comparison. Based on this review, readers can easily understand the current status of condition monitoring technology for the fuel cell. 相似文献

This study examined the relationship between multimodal connectedness (i.e. communicating with others through multiple digital channels) and subjective well-being. Analyses from a serial mediation model showed no direct relationship, but there were several significant mediating pathways through individual social capital, civic engagement and positive affect. Further analyses of three age cohorts (18–34, 35–54, 55–70+) demonstrated two significant indirect pathways for the 18–34 cohort, one for the 35–54 cohort, and five for the 55–70+ cohort. Even though the oldest cohort used fewer communication technologies and had smaller social networks, they are more likely to benefit from multimodal communications because they are motivated to engage in behaviors that result in positive emotions and feelings, which in turn engenders overall well-being. The study points to the utility of a lifespan perspective in understanding the effects of communication technologies in society. 相似文献

This paper proposes a new method for estimating the state and lifespan of fuel cells in operation by fuel cell equivalent impedance modeling by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and observing degradation. The performance change of fuel cells takes place in the form of changes in each parameter value comprising an equivalent AC impedance circuit; monitoring such changes allows for the prediction of the state and lifespan of a fuel cell. In the experiments, the AC impedance of high-temperature proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells was measured at constant time intervals during their continuous operation for over 2200 h. The expression for the lifespan of a fuel cell was deduced by curve fitting the changes in each parameter to a polynomial. Electric double layer capacitance and charge transfer resistance, which show the reduction reaction of the cathode, were used as major parameters for judging the degradation; a method of using time constants is proposed to more accurately estimate the degree of degradation. In addition, an algorithm that can evaluate the soundness and lifespan of a fuel cell is proposed; it compares the measured time constant of the fuel cell being tested with that of average lifespan fuel cell. 相似文献

We propose an algorithm to compute the optimal parameters of a probabilistic data propagation algorithm for wireless sensor networks (WSN). The probabilistic data propagation algorithm we consider was introduced in previous work, and it is known that this algorithm, when used with adequate parameters, balances the energy consumption and increases the lifespan of the WSN. However, we show that in the general case achieving energy balance may not be possible. We propose a centralized algorithm to compute the optimal parameters of the probabilistic data propagation algorithm, and prove that these parameters maximize the lifespan of the network even when it is not possible to achieve energy balance. Compared to previous work, our contribution is the following: (a) we give a formal definition of an optimal data propagation algorithm: an algorithm maximizing the lifespan of the network. (b) We find a simple necessary and sufficient condition for the data propagation algorithm to be optimal. (c) We constructively prove that there exists a choice of parameters optimizing the probabilistic data propagation algorithm. (d) We provide a centralized algorithm to compute these optimal parameters, thus enabling their use in a WSN. (e) We extend previous work by considering the energy consumption per sensor, instead of the consumption per slice, and propose a spreading technique to balance the energy among sensors of a same slice. The technique is numerically validated by simulating a WSN accomplishing a data monitoring task and propagating data using the probabilistic data propagation algorithm with optimal parameters. 相似文献
