This article deals with the oxidation effect of ozone on the increasing fraction of biodegradable organic matter with the “ozotest” method, a laboratory technique which simulates the effect of ozonation and allows a complete oxidation assessment. Ozone treatment was performed on river water samples and sand filter effluent samples. Ozone consumption, reduction of UV absorbance and BDOC formation were monitored with applied ozone doses from 0 to 10 mg/L and with contact times from 0 to 60 min. The BDOC formation was optimum at an applied ozone dose of 0.25-0.5 mg O3 per mg DOC (contact time = 5 min) corresponding to apparition of traces of residual ozone and maximum UV reduction. Maximum ozone consumption, UV reduction and BDOC formation occurred simultaneously during the first two minutes of treatment. Concerning BDOC formation, applied ozone dose showed a greater effectiveness than contact time. For the same quantity of consumed ozone, a short contact time associated with a high ozone dose was preferable to a long contact time and a low ozone dose.  相似文献

Oil degradation caused by the number of fryings performed and the effect of oil degradation on the color of fried battered squid rings were studied. Spectrophotometric techniques with absorbance in the UV and visible ranges, and iodine, peroxide, and acid values were used to determine oil degradation. Determination of various CIELAB parameters in order to study the external color of the fried battered squid rings revealed no differences in color due to the number of fryings. A study of the color of the battered squid rings at various frying times and temperatures showed significant differences for both variables. Although there was some degradation in the oil after 20 fryings, appearing as a slight darkening, it did not affect the final color of the fried, battered squid rings.  相似文献

The indigo method developed by Bader and Hoigné for aqueous ozone analysis was modified to allow for both gaseous and aqueous ozone determination. Gas or water samples were extracted with a gas-tight syringe containing a known volume of indigo reagent. The modified procedure provided a more consistent basis for gaseous and aqueous ozone determination allowing for more accurate ozone mass balance calculations. Direct gaseous ozone UV absorbance with molar absorptivity of 3,000 M?1cm?1 at 258 nm was used as primary standard to determine the molar absorptivity of the indigo reagent. The molar absorptivity of indigo reagent, assuming a 1:1 stoichiometric ratio for the reaction between indigo and ozone, was determined to be 23,150 ± 80 M?1cm?1, or approximately 16 percent higher than that of 20,000 M?1cm?1 suggested by Bader and Hoigné. An independently calibrated membrane-electrode ozone monitor showed good correlation with indigo method results using the molar absorptivity value determined in this study. The apparent molar absorptivity of aqueous ozone at the wavelength of 258 nm measured by the modified indigo method increased from 2,400 to 3,600 M?1cm?1 in the investigated ozone concentration range of 0.4 to 11.0 mg/L. This variation might have been caused by the inherent interference of unidentified ozone byproducts, which presence was supported with scanning spectra in the wavelength range of 200 to 300 nm.  相似文献

为了构建食用油过氧化值快速检测分析方法,以食用油为试验材料,利用可见分光光度计测定碘与淀粉的显色变化,建立食用油过氧化值的检测模型,探讨测定波长、饱和碘化钾添加量、反应时间、淀粉指示剂添加量、溶剂混合比例和油脂种类等因素对测定结果的影响。通过模型建立和验证、盲样验证及精密度分析,结果表明:检测条件对测定结果影响均不显著;当取样质量为(0.100±0.010)g,入射光波长为535nm时,食用油过氧化值模型为:y=28.856x+0.1331(y为过氧化值,mmol/kg,x为溶液吸光度),R2=0.9985。模型预测值与国标法测定值高度线性相关,盲样验证相对误差均10%,检出限为0.79mmol/kg,符合国家标准的相关要求,基于可见分光光度法的食用油过氧化值检测方法是可行的。  相似文献

The aim of this investigation was to find the optimal working conditions for the chemical treatment of molasses that guarantee coagulation and precipitation of undesired macromolecules. Twenty experiments were performed, within the limits: 3.5pH8.5 and 0.1 mol Al/lc0.5 mol Al/l, on samples of molasses treated with Al2(SO4)3 as a precipitant. The efficiency of the treatment was controlled through measuring both the zeta potential and solution absorbance at 560 nm. By analysing the experimental results, it was concluded that the optimum lies within reduced limits of: 4pH7 and 0.2 mol Al/lc0.4 mol Al/l, which covers nine experimental points. Based on these measurements, a mathematical model of absorbance changes was defined, in terms of pH and Al2(SO4)3 quantity. The model was taken as the objective function, and the optimal calculated values were obtained: pH=5.3 and c=0.34 mol Al/l. They guarantee a minimal absorbance value of: 0.124 at 560 nm.  相似文献

Multiwavelength UV-vis spectra of microorganisms and cell suspensions contain quantitative information on their properties such as number, size, shape, chemical composition, and internal structure. These properties are essential for the identification and classification of cells. The complexity of microorganisms in terms of their chemical composition and internal structure makes the interpretation of their spectral signature a difficult task. In this article a model is proposed for the interpretation of the multiwavelength spectra of microorganisms. The proposed interpretation model is based on light scattering theory, spectral deconvolution techniques, and the approximation of the frequency-dependent optical properties of the basic constituents of living organisms. The optical properties as functions of wavelength and available literature data on the size and chemical composition of E. coli cells and Bacillus globigii spores were used to explore the sensitivity of the calculated spectra to the model parameters. It is shown that the proposed model can reproduce the features of experimentally measured spectra. The sensitivity of the spectra to the model parameters suggests that the proposed model can be used for the quantitative deconvolution of the UV-vis spectra in terms of critical information necessary for the detection and identification of microorganisms.  相似文献

A simple and cheap spectrophotometric method for the simultaneous determination of Tartrazine, Quinoline Yellow, Sunset Yellow, Carmoisine and Brilliant Blue in commercial food products with the aid of a portable double beam photocolourimeter are described. The method is based on the difference of the absorptivity ratios at maximum absorbances of two compounds or three compounds. The proposed device uses red–green–blue light-emitting diode as light source and light dependent resistor as detector. A programmable microcontroller sequentially turns the emitters on, receives the signals followed by calculating the absorbance and displaying it on a liquid–crystal display. The photometer is capable of performing absorbance measurements in a single wavelength as well as in three wavelengths sequentially, allows its application in simultaneous analysis of binary and ternary mixtures based on the differences of absorbance ratios in two and/or three wavelengths. The method was validated against a standard HPLC method and the results obtained were in a good agreement with those of HPLC method.  相似文献
