This paper deals with the stress analysis and strength evaluation of bonded shrink fitted joints subjected to torsion. The stress distributions in the adhesive layer of bonded shrink fitted joints are analyzed by the axisymmetric theory of elasticity when an external torsion is applied to the upper end of the shaft. The effects of the outer diameter and the stiffness of rings on the interface stress distributions are clarified by numerical calculations. Using the interface stress distributions, the joint strength is predicted. In addition, the joint strength was measured experimentally. It is seen that rupture of the adhesive layer is initiated from the upper edge of the interface when torsion is applied to the upper end of the shaft. The numerical results are in fairly good agreement with the experimental results. It was found that the joint strength of bonded shrink fitted joints is greater than that of shrink fitted joints.  相似文献

To improve the diagnosis accuracy and self-adaptability of fatigue crack in ulterior place of the supporting shaft, time series and neural network are attempted to be applied in research on diag-nosing the fatigue crack’s degree based on analyzing the vibration characteristics of the supporting shaft. By analyzing the characteristic parameter which is easy to be detected from the supporting shaft’s exterior, the time series model parameter which is hypersensitive to the situation of fatigue crack in ulterior place of the supporting shaft is the target input of neural network, and the fatigue crack’s degree value of supporting shaft is the output. The BP network model can be built and net-work can be trained after the structural parameters of network are selected. Furthermore, choosing the other two different group data can test the network. The test result will verify the validity of the BP network model. The result of experiment shows that the method of time series and neural network are effective to diagnose the occurrence and the development of the fatigue crack’s degree in ulterior place of the supporting shaft.  相似文献

Abstract

Two measures for coke saving and increase in blast furnace efficiency related to coke characteristics – reactivity and size – are discussed in this paper. Modern blast furnace operation with low coke rate and high injection rate causes a change in coke quality requirements. A discussion has arisen recently about highly reactive coke. Here, a theoretical analysis of influence of coke reactivity on the thermal reserve zone, direct reduction and carbon consumption in the blast furnace has been undertaken. Experiments have been performed using non-standard test scenarios that simulate coke behaviour under real blast furnace operating conditions. Coke reactivity and microstructure have also been investigated under the impact of alkali and pulverised coal ash and char. Operation of many blast furnaces has proved the possibility of coke saving and increase in productivity when using small-sized coke (so-called nut coke) mixed with the burden, but the reasons for this phenomenon, and consequently the limit for nut coke consumption, are still not very clear. An analytical method and cold model simulations have been used to quantify the change in shaft permeability and furnace productivity when using nut coke.  相似文献

Abstract

Quality steel production at low cost demands superior quality of hot metal (HM) with low silicon (Si) and sulphur. High silicon is undesirable for its subsequent treatment during steelmaking, making the process costlier and less productive, hence there have been constant efforts to lower the silicon content in HM. Corex is the only commercially established and proven smelting reduction ironmaking technology alterative to conventional blast furnace (BF) ironmaking. While the mechanism of silicon transfer is largely understood in the BF, the Corex process still requires further operational guidance for its control. A statistical analysis of more than one year plant data has been carried out to understand the parameters influencing the silicon content and to provide directions for its prediction and control. Based on the understanding of the parameters affecting the silicon in HM, regression analysis was carried out and equations have been developed to predict the silicon in Corex HM. The present paper discusses the various parameters involved, the regression output for silicon prediction, its validation and its interrelation with operating parameters. The analysis indicates that high fuel rates due to high moisture, poor metallisation, high volatile matter, high slag volume, high coal fines and low production, along with high basicity and alumina in slag lead to high silicon in HM.  相似文献
