A楼·B楼·C楼--同济校园新建筑评述

同济大学校园在几十年发展过程中出现了各种形式的个性建筑。从20世纪50年代的文远楼到80年代的建筑城规学院明成楼再到21世纪的建筑城规学院新楼，代表了三个历里时期的建筑特色，并共同坚持着同一种精神，那就是勇于创新，紧跟潮流的时代精神。

介绍一种分析时序逻辑电路的补充方法,并应用于教学实践中。其特点是原理简单、易于理解、直观方便,相对于传统的分析方法,避免了对次状态方程的分析处理计算,有时比传统方法简便、快捷。通过两个示例展示其优越性。     

Psychology, history, and the press: The case of William McDougall and The New York Times..

A number of reasons have been suggested for the rapid decline in influence and credibility experienced by William McDougall after his arrival in America. To obtain some evidence on this issue, all articles appearing in The New York Times between 1906 and 1940 in which McDougall was mentioned were coded for the nature of the image conveyed. Articles mentioning the two authors most similar to McDougall in terms of number of citations, Joseph Jastrow and Edward L. Thorndike, were also coded for the nature of the image conveyed. In contrast to the images of Jastrow and Thorndike, the image McDougall conveyed was significantly more negative. McDougall was more often satirized, and references to McDougall were significantly less likely to be simple reporting of something he had said or done. Results are discussed in terms of the role of the press in "deciding" controversies in which the scientific community has lost interest. 一种快速并行关联规则算法研究及仿真*

在比较了当前几种并行关联规则挖掘算法的基础上,对并行关联规则算法进行了比较全面的分析,为了解决其性能和效率方面存在的问题,提出了一种快速挖掘策略的并行处理算法（FPARM）,并对这种快速并行关联规则算法的性能作了比较分析。经过计算机仿真实验的性能比较,采用快速并行算法的性能和效率提高了,达到了算法优化的目的。

城市路灯监控系统中日出日落时间算法的实现

城市路灯自动监控系统的主要任务之一，就是根据城市所在地每天的日出日落时间确定当日的关灯开灯时间，因此计算日出日落时间的方法是准确控制开关灯时间的关键。本文提出一种计算日出日落时间的算法和根据日出日落时间确定开关灯时间的方法，并给出了用C Builder编写的程序实例。     

Random Counts in Models and Structures (Volume 1)

Detailed examination of the lifetimes of components and assemblies by means of the usual sequential probability ratio tests is often not feasible because of the prohibitive time or cost involved in such an examination. Situations commonly arise, however, where extraneous information is available (perhaps in the form of experience of similar situations or concerning the reputation of the supplier of the components or assemblies) which reflects on the current situation. Such information might be incorporated in a Bayesian analysis, but little work seems to have been done in this area. This paper presents a possible sequential life test incorporating prior information, applied to the simplest situation of components with exponentially distributed lifetimes, tested individually. The results for conventional sequential lifetests are used as a rough yardstick against which to measure the properties of the Bayesian lifetest discussed in the paper.     

Camille Silvy and the English Press

This article examines some of the announcements and advertisements that Camille Silvy placed in the English press during the nine years he spent as one of London's foremost commercial portraitists. The article also looks at some other occurrences of Silvy's name in a variety of newspapers and journals and discusses the new light that these sources shed on Silvy's business practices and on the history of his studio.     

Reliability of an Independent Component,s-Spare System with Exponential Life Times and General Repair Times

In this paper, the reliability of a system with N independent components supplied with a pool of s spares is investigated. The components have an exponential life time distribution and the failed components are repaired, one at a time, with a general repair time distribution. Numerical results are presented for the mean time to system failure (system is said to fail when a component fails with no spare available) and the reliability of the system in some special cases of interest.     

On Sequenial Tests of the Bincknial Distribution

In this paper, we consider the detailed characteristics of the standard sequential test of a simple hypothesis versus a single alternative for the case of the binomial distribution. A method is developed which permits evaluation of the associated probabilities of acceptance and/or rejection of the null hypothesis at each stage. From this information, the quantitative features of the test (Operating Characteristic and test termination probability) are completely determined. Curves are presented to facilitate assessment of the sequential procedure in practical cases. A sequential test is compared with a fixed sample size test having approximately the same Operating Characteristic. Wald's approximation for the average sample number is compared with exact values.
