Built Conservation and the Unfinished Fabrics of Time

Differentiating between the static impulse to preserve and the more open-ended and imaginative process of conservation, Federica Goffi presents a building as ‘a fabric that, even when complete, is unfinished and open to change’. Associate Professor and Associate Director of Graduate Programs at the Azrieli School of Architecture and Urbanism at Carleton University in Ottawa, Goffi has written widely on the topic of time, particularly taking St Peter's in the Vatican by way of example.     

Conceptual design and infrastructure for the installation of the first AGATA sub-array at LNL

The first implementation of the AGATA spectrometer consisting of five triple germanium detector clusters has been installed at Laboratori Nazionali di Legnaro, INFN. This setup has two major goals, the first one is to validate the γ-tracking concept and the second is to perform an experimental physics program using the stable beams delivered by the Tandem-PIAVE-ALPI accelerator complex. A large variety of physics topics will be addressed during this campaign, aiming to investigate both neutron and proton-rich nuclei. The setup has been designed to be coupled with the large-acceptance magnetic-spectrometer PRISMA. Therefore, the in-beam prompt γ rays detected with AGATA will be measured in coincidence with the products of multinucleon-transfer and deep-inelastic reactions measured by PRISMA. Moreover, the setup is versatile enough to host ancillary detectors, including the heavy-ion detector DANTE, the γ-ray detector array HELENA, the Cologne plunger for lifetime measurements and the Si-pad telescope TRACE. In this paper the design, characteristics and performance figures of the setup will be described.

科隆蛋扣件与普通短轨枕过渡段钢轨波磨的瞬态动力学研究

基于轮轨摩擦耦合自激振动导致钢轨波磨的观点,建立位于小半径曲线轨道上科隆蛋扣件和普通短轨枕交界区段的两轮对-钢轨-轨枕有限元模型,在小半径曲线上,轮轨间的蠕滑力通常达到饱和状态,其值等于法向力乘以动摩擦因数。采用ABAQUS软件研究轮轨系统的瞬态动力学过程,获得轮对通过该区段时钢轨表面的振动加速度和接触力的变化规律。通过结果分析可发现,在内轨和内轮上发生了严重的摩擦自激振动,从而产生了钢轨波磨;钢轨的振动在科隆蛋扣件区段比在普通短轨枕区段明显。     

文化遗产的“突围”——德国科隆大教堂周边文化环境的保护与步行区的营造

德国科隆在二战中遭受了毁灭性的破坏,而科隆大教堂得以幸存。但是在近年来的发展中,作为世界遗产的科隆大教堂,其保护也同样面临着与城市建设之间的矛盾,并一度被列入“濒危遗产名单”。后来经过设置合理的缓冲区和营造多样化的步行环境,不仅通过商业、旅游业的振兴推动了当地经济的发展,同时也使大教堂获得了良性的保护环境,为该市提供了一条经济振兴与文化遗产保存的双赢道路。这为我国协调城市文化遗产及文化环境保护与经济发展的关系提供了很好的借鉴。     

Excessive Resolution: From Digital Streamlining to Computational Complexity

德国大都市绿带规划建设与管理研究——以科隆与法兰克福为例

绿带作为控制城市蔓延的规划策略,为城市居民提供近郊绿色游憩场地,同时在应对气候变化和保护生态多样性方面发挥重要的作用。自1990年代以来,绿带成为中国大都市扩张过程中日益重要的常规空间手段之一。然而当前国内的绿带在规划布局与贯彻实施之间脱节严重,对绿带的发展机制、管理权责以及法律配套方面的认知不足。通过选取科隆和法兰克福这两个有代表性的德国大都市绿带作为案例,深入研究绿带发展历程、空间形态界定、法律体系的制定以及管理模式选择等。研究表明,较为稳定的绿带界限和法规体系,灵活的管理模式选择以及多元化的管理思路转变对于有效推进绿带建设具有重要意义。中国都市区的绿带建设也需因地制宜地选择发展模式和配套策略,促进区域空间结构优化。     

现代生态城市建设与空间布局的若干思路--以科隆与南京城市比较为例

科隆在城市总体发展方面,强调接近自然;在城市开发方面,强调跳跃式、分格式的开发;在社区建设方面,强调保障健康与安全;在规划建设方面,强调整合建筑与环境。南京在生态城市建设上应注意:在总体规划上要有整体观念;合理利用长江岸线;交通生态走廊的绿化带建设;建成区的绿化等问题。
