中国古陶艺制品造型,釉色,装饰等艺术符号都与每时期的阶段性精神和物质生活相联系,但在"现代艺术"文化认识领域中,往往从理论思维角度把陶艺实用目的的物质性排斥在文化范畴之外。艺术常常强调物质的观赏性,而陶艺的实用功能就是这种文化类型的主体,陶艺的文化性和功能性,具有实用和审美文化的高度叠合,永久地承载着实用功能和精神功能两大内容。

Sustaining Rural Landscapes: the role of integrated tourism

The aim of a European Union-funded research project entitled 'Supporting and Promoting Integrated Tourism in Europe's Lagging Rural Regions' (SPRITE) is to analyse and develop the potential for better-integrated tourism in the rural landscapes of Europe. Integrated tourism can be defined as that which is explicitly linked to the localities in which it takes place and, in practical terms, has clear connections with local resources, activities, products, production and service industries, and a participatory local community. Enhancing the sustainable economic potential of rural landscapes requires partnerships among rural people and the sustainable yet productive use of rural resources. A 'culture economy' approach to integrated tourism is proposed, which emphasizes the importance of local identity, the strategic commodification of resources and of place, and the importance of extra-local forces in enabling local activities. It is suggested that this approach may represent a shift beyond more traditional approaches to rural development.

An empirical investigation of socio-cultural factors of information sharing in China

Understanding information sharing is an important challenge to modern organizations, and is likely to be increasingly considered when IT investment decisions are made world-wide. Our research study investigated the influence of cultural factors on information sharing in China. It was postulated that social network structures such as guanxi, Confucian dynamism, and collectivism could explain the degree to which information sharing took place between people in China. It was found that guanxi, Confucian dynamism, and collectivism all had a significant influence on information sharing.

Interpretation of way-finding healthcare symbols by a multicultural population: Navigation signage design for global health

The interpretation of way-finding symbols for healthcare facilities in a multicultural community was assessed in a cross-sectional study. One hundred participants recruited from Al Ain city in the United Arab Emirates were asked to interpret 28 healthcare symbols developed at Hablamos Juntos (such as vaccinations and laboratory) as well as 18 general-purpose symbols (such as elevators and restrooms). The mean age was 27.6 years (16–55 years) of whom 84 (84%) were females. Healthcare symbols were more difficult to comprehend than general-purpose signs. Symbols referring to abstract concepts were the most misinterpreted including oncology, diabetes education, outpatient clinic, interpretive services, pharmacy, internal medicine, registration, social services, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics and infectious diseases. Interpretation rates varied across cultural backgrounds and increased with higher education and younger age. Signage within healthcare facilities should be tested among older persons, those with limited literacy and across a wide range of cultures.

文化与科技融合的研究是当前文化科技领域的热门话题。推进文化与科技深度融合,是促进文化产业大发展大繁荣的必要条件,也是文化体制改革的必然要求。本文立足于高新技术开发园区视角,从融合动因、融合模式、融合效果等三个方面探究文化与科技融合的机理,并从政策、文化产业融资、人才培养和文化产业集群等方面对如何实现文化与科技的充分融合,提出了塑造文化品牌、增加文化产品科技含量和附加值的相关对策建议。
