Fifty Years On: Brown v. Board of Education and American Psychology, 1954-2004 An Introduction.

Introduces the current issue of the American Psychologist, which examines the ramifications of the Brown vs. Board of Education decision and its sequelae over the last 50 years, with a special focus on the mixed role of psychological research and practice. Despite the great strides toward a more just society since May 17, 1954, inequities remain in schooling, in social relations, and in economic opportunity. How will history judge American psychology 50 years from now vis-a-vis the possibilities it helped create via Brown? The articles in this special issue suggest several important directions of research and action our field will need to take if the verdict of history is to be a positive one. The role of the American Board of Professional Psychology in professional mobility.

This article describes the role of certification by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) in easing the process by which psychologists move beyond their original jurisdictional boundaries to practice psychology. Meeting the requirements for licensure or certification in the various jurisdictions can be a difficult task because these requirements vary considerably from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. Other mechanisms that are available to facilitate this process include the Certificate of Professional Qualification in Psychology issued by the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards and certification by the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology. The ABPP certificate/diploma has been regarded by many state psychological associations and state boards of psychology as an appropriate way in which to recognize psychologists who are eligible for licensure/certification in a jurisdiction because of the examination requirements for board certification. Simulation of a PCB assembly line: A modified JIT approach

In this paper, a simulation model of an existing printed circuit board (PCB) assembly line is developed in an attempt to identify strategies which tend to improve the system performance. The model is based on the concept of the JIT (Just-In-Time) production approach. Parameters investigated includes sequencing rules, lot sizes, number of Kanbans used, and number of PCB types.     

交联过程对交联发泡PP板材性能的影响

以过氧化二异丙苯(DCP)为交联剂，二乙烯基苯为助交联剂，偶氮二甲酰胺为发泡剂，采用化学交联法，使PP树脂在发泡之前交联，并利用压制成型的方法制取了泡孔均匀、细密的泡沫板材。研究了交联剂和助交联剂的用量对凝胶质量分数和板材性能的影响。结果表明：DCP和二乙烯基苯的质量分数分别为0．12％和1．6％时，制品的各项性能较好。     

电路板级自动测试系统的设计及其应用

针对雷达电路板具有复杂多样以及维护困难大的特点,本文介绍了一种面向信号测试的电路板级自动测试系统的开发过程,重点描述了系统软件平台框架搭建和TPS可视化开发运行平台的设计以及具体应用。运行实践表明,测试策略和测试流程的可视化编程,极大地提高了雷达电路板的维修效率。     

基于单片机的CAN_NODE的设计与实现

CAN_NODE实验板是一款功能强大的8位AVR单片机实验板,采用的是基于AVR RISC结构的8位低功耗CMOS微处理器ATmega128。由于其先进的指令集以及单周期指令执行时间,ATmega128的数据吞吐率高达1 MIPS/MHz。板上提供了CAN总线通讯所需要的硬件,按键,LED,USB接口等常用的功能部件,为系统扩展而预留了扩展功能接口,提供了SPI接口和JTAG接口以方便下载和调试。     

某型制氧制氮车仿真系统设计

随着某型制氧制氮车在航空领域的使用量逐渐增大,相关单位对能熟练操作该型制氧制氮车的人才的需求也将随着增大。而相关院校和培训机构由于没有实际装备,教学效果不理想,另外制氧制氮车在实际运行时,存在能耗高、运行周期长、不安全因素多等问题。针对以上问题,本文提出了该型制氧制氮车仿真系统设计和开发的总体方案,介绍了该仿真系统实现的主要功能,为开发该仿真培训系统提供了一条明确而清晰的思路。     

Board-Level Information Technology Governance Effects on Organizational Performance: The Roles of Strategic Alignment and Authoritarian Governance Style

ABSTRACT

We report on two empirical studies that explore key factors that help translate information technology governance by the board of directors into organizational performance. The first study shows that strategic alignment partially mediates the effect of board-level information technology governance on performance. The second study demonstrates that authoritarian governance style negatively moderates the effect of board-level information technology governance on performance. Together, these studies open up the black box between board-level information technology governance and organizational performance.
