In this paper, we consider resource allocation under the scheduled traffic model, where the setup and teardown times of scheduled demands are known in advance. A number of integer linear program (ILP) solutions for this problem have been presented in the literature. Most of these ILPs minimize the number of wavelength links. A more appropriate metric, for wavelength routed, all-optical networks, is to minimize the congestion (the maximum number of lightpaths on a single fiber link) of the network. We present a new ILP formulation for routing and wavelength allocation, under the scheduled traffic model that minimizes the congestion of the network. We propose two levels of service, where idle backup resources can be used to carry low-priority traffic, under fault-free conditions. When a fault occurs, and resources for a backup path need to be reclaimed, any low-priority traffic on the affected channels is dropped. The results demonstrate that this can lead to significant improvements over single service level models. We also show that the complexity of our formulation (in terms of the number of integer variables) is lower, even compared to existing approaches, which only allow a single level of service. Therefore, we are able to generate optimal solutions for practical networks within a reasonable amount of time, whereas existing formulations often do not find the optimal solution even after 2 h. Finally, we present a simple and fast heuristic that can quickly generate good solutions for much larger networks.  相似文献

Airlines are faced with the challenge of reducing their environmental footprint in an effort to push for climate-neutral initiatives that comply with international regulations. In the past, the aviation industry has followed the approach of incremental improvement of fuel efficiency while simultaneously experiencing significant growth in annual air traffic. With the increase in air traffic negating any reduction in Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions, more disruptive technologies such as hydrogen-based onboard power generation are required to reduce the environmental impact of airline operations. However, despite initial euphoria and first conceptual studies for hydrogen-powered aircraft several decades ago, there still has been no mass adoption to this day. Besides the challenges of a suitable ground infrastructure, this can partly be attributed to uncertainties with the associated maintenance requirements and the expected operating costs to demonstrate the economic viability of this technology. With this study, we address this knowledge gap by estimating changes towards scheduled maintenance activities for an airborne hydrogen storage and distribution system. In particular, we develop a detailed system design for a hydrogen-powered, fuel-cell-based auxiliary power generation and perform a comparative analysis with an Airbus A320 legacy system. That analysis allows us to (a) identify changes for the expected maintenance effort to enhance subsequent techno-economic assessments, (b) identify implications of specific design assumptions with corresponding maintenance activities while ensuring regulatory compliance and (c) describe the impact on the resulting task execution. The thoroughly examined interactions between system design and subsequent maintenance requirements of this study can support practitioners in the development of prospective hydrogen-powered aircraft. In particular, it allows the inclusion of maintenance implications in early design stages of corresponding system architectures. Furthermore, since the presented methodology is transferable to different design solutions, it provides a blueprint for alternative operating concepts such as the complete substitution of kerosene by hydrogen to power the main engines.  相似文献

Degradation measurements are increasingly important in reliability studies because few failures are observed during the short time of many experiments. In this article, we assess device reliability from discrete degradation processes under scheduled inspections. In some particular situations, since the degradation quantities of the device characteristic are only observed specifically at the scheduled time points, the exact occurrence time and the corresponding damage amount of each degradation event are not recorded. For this sort of situation, there are plenty of examples such as the amount of shock damages of the database in a computer system, the amount of fatigues of the shock absorber for a car, and the amount of growth of a metal crack on an aircraft.  相似文献

为了适应PDR网络化、个人化的发展要求,本文提出了PDR节目数据库管理软件中一些关键模块的设计方案。这些方案包括实现节目列表的新型集合、符合MPEG-7标准的节目预告描述方案、统一的节目资源管理方案及其在提供电子节目单和完成预约录制方面的应用。实验证明以上各方案的性能均优于目前PDR产品所采用的相应方案。  相似文献

在分析现有各种维修决策方法及维修决策特点的基础上,提出基于模糊层次分析法的维修方式群体决策模型,利用模糊有序加权几何平均算子(fuzzy ordered weighted geometric operator,FOWG算子),得到模糊判断矩阵的精确权重。将该方法运用于热电厂发电设备维修方式决策,最终从三种备选方案中(故障后维修、计划维修、视情维修)选出视情维修作为维修方式。最后指出该方法的优点、不足之处及其发展方向。  相似文献
