A coupled three-dimensional (3-D) model, combining hydrodynamics with biochemical reactions, was developed to simulate the local transient flow patterns and the dynamic behaviors of cell growth and phenol biodegradation by yeast Candida tropicalis in the bubble-column bioreactor, using the computational fluid dynamic (CFD) method. In order to validate this proposed model effectively, the validation of the local hydrodynamic characteristics of the gas-mineral salt solution (gas-liquid) two-phase system, with the phenol concentration of 1200 mg/L, and with the absence of cells, was performed in a square-sectioned bubble column bioreactor using the LDA system and conductivity probe. Furthermore, the validation of phenol biodegradation behaviors by yeast Candida tropicalis at different initial concentrations of phenol and cell was also carried out in the above bubble-column bioreactor. The results indicated that the model simulations had a satisfying agreement with the experimental data. Finally, the local instantaneous flow and phenol biodegradation features including gas holdup, gas velocity, liquid velocity, cell concentration and phenol concentration inside the bioreactor were successfully predicted in different-scale bubble columns by the proposed model. © 2006 American Institute of Chemical Engineers AIChE J, 2006 相似文献

采用紫外分光光度计测定多巴醌,得到了睡莲花提取物对酪氨酸酶的抑制率;以L-酪氨酸为底物,采用酶动力学的方法研究了睡莲花提取物对酪氨酸酶单酚酶活性的抑制作用及抑制机制。结果表明,睡莲花提取物对酪氨酸酶具有明显抑制作用,其中30%乙醇洗脱部位抑制效果最好,其对酪氨酸酶单酚酶活性的抑制作用表现为可逆反竞争型抑制;50%乙醇洗脱部位对酪氨酸酶单酚酶活性的抑制作用表现为可逆性抑制,低浓度时为混合型,高浓度时为竞争型。 相似文献

ABSTRACTThe present study aimed to evaluate the antimicrobial effect of gaseous ozone against specific oral pathogens on denture base resins. 1080 round samples were prepared (10mm-diameter, 2mm-thickness). Candida albicans, Streptococcus mutans, Streptococcus gordonii, and Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans, polyamide-Deflex, heat-cured polymethyl-methacrylate (PMMA)-QC-20, and cold-cured-PMMA-Meliodent. The doses and durations: 25, 50 and 100µg/ml, 5, 10, 20, 30 minutes. For Cell viability (CV) MTT was used. 100µg/ml was most effective dose for C. albicans, S .gordonii, and A. actinomycetemcomitans were in heat-cured-PMMA and polyamide for S.mutans. For polyamide, lowest CV was 43% in S.mutans and A.actinomycetemcomitans. CV of heat-cure and cold-cure PMMA were 31% and 32% in S.gordonii, respectively. CV was similar for all resins and durations in S.mutans and A.actinomycetemcomitans and for polyamide for C.albicans and for heat-cure PMMA for S.gordonii. 30-min ozone application killed 80% of all microorganisms in all resins except for C.albicans in polyamide (65% cell death) and cold-cure PMMA (57% cell death). Optimal dose/duration combination was 100 µg/ml-10 min. Gaseous ozone can be considered as an effective cleansing agent for denture base resins. 相似文献

Enzymatic synthesis of six esters of α-lipoic acid with different fatty alcohols and diols was carried out to produce novel compounds with lubricant additive properties. The synthetic route was mild and efficient with good yields. The synthesized compounds were characterized by IR, NMR, and mass spectral studies and screened for their thermal stability, antiwear (AW), extreme pressure (EP), and antioxidant (AO) properties. The tribo tests in a synthetic base fluid indicated that all the synthesized compounds act as antiwear and extreme pressure additives. All the prepared esters exhibited very good thermal stability and excellent antioxidant properties with better performance compared to commercial antioxidant BHT as determined by differential scanning calorimetry. 相似文献
