＂CNOOC 981＂ Found Big Gas Field in South China Sea

China has made a great breakthrough in deepwater oil-gas exploration and development. ＂CNOOC 981＂, a deepwater drilling platform of CNOOC （China National Offshore Oil Corporation）, got high oil and gas production flow in Well Lingshui 17-2-1 in deepwater area in northern South China Sea on August 18, 2014. It was estimated that Lingshui 17-2 was a large scale gas field, and it was China＇s first big oil-gas discovery in proprietary deepwater exploration.
