Theabrownins (TB) are polymeric phenolic compounds associated with the multiple bioactivities of Pu-erh tea, a post-fermented Chinese dark tea. High-TB instant Pu-erh tea was produced via a novel submerged fermentation (SF) using Aspergillus tubingensis and compared with samples produced commercially via the conventional solid-state fermentation (SSF). Viable microorganisms and microbial toxins, especially aflatoxins B1, G1, B2, G2, cyclopiazonic acid, fumonisins B1, B2, B3 and ochratoxin A, were below the detection limit in all samples. Fewer microbial metabolites were found in SF instant tea compared with the SSF teas. Based on an adult consuming 1 g of instant Pu-erh tea daily, the dietary intake of investigated elements was below the safe limits recommended by various authorities. Tasters viewed the instant tea infusions as very mild, smooth, mellow and full. This suggested that submerged fermentation using A. tubingensis offers a speedy and safe alternative to commercial production of instant Pu-erh tea. 相似文献

Production of the fungus Aspergillus niger NRRL 330 was studied in submerged fermentation with ram horn hydrolysate (RHH) as substrate. The characteristics of RHH have been reported previously. The RHH was enriched by addition of glucose and KH2PO4. The effects of kinetic parameters on the biomass yield of the fungus were investigated. The optimal conditions for growth of A niger on RHH were initial pH 6.5, temperature 30 °C, fermentation time 96 h and agitation speed 150 rpm. Under these optimal conditions the initial carbohydrate content of RHH was reduced from 1.52 to 0.2% and the biomass yield was 8.9 g l?1. The biomass contained about 48.1% protein, 5.2% fat and 9.4% ash (on a dry weight basis). The amino acid content of the biomass was compared with Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO) and animal feed standards. The protein produced contained all the essential amino acids for animal feed, but the amounts of these amino acids were somewhat lower than those of FAO and soybean reference protein. However, the amino acid composition of the biomass was better than that of animal feed. The results with RHH were also compared with previously reported data on fungal mycelium grown on waste liquor substrate. In the case of submerged multijets impinging on to a flat surface, the limiting current densities were measured at microelectrodes, fixed flush with the target surface using diffusion controlled electrode reactions (i.e. reduction of ferricyanide ion). The height of the multijet distributor from the target surface (Y) was varied from 5 to 9 cm. The numbers of holes of the distributor (N) studied were 76 and 141. The variation of mass transfer data with radial distance reveals the existence of two different regions, i.e. the impingement region and the wall jet region. The mass transfer rate increased with increase in Y in the impingement region. The effect of Y is negligible in the wall jet region. This paper deals with the detailed flow analysis of impulse turbine with experimental and computed results for wave energy power conversion. Initially, several turbulence models have been used in two-dimensional (2-D) computational fluid dynamic (CFD) analysis to find a suitable model for this kind of slow speed unconventional turbine. Experiments have been conducted to validate the CFD results and also to analyze the aerodynamics at various stations of the turbine. The three-dimensional (3-D) CFD model with tip clearance has been generated to predict the internal flow and to understand the effect of tip clearance leakage flow on behavior of the turbine in design and off-design conditions. As a result, it is found from the 2-D results that the comparison between computed and experimental data is good, qualitatively and the turbulence model, standard k–ε can predict the experimental values reasonably well, especially the efficiency of the turbine. Experimental results reveal that the downstream guide vanes are more responsible for low efficiency of the turbine and it is measured that 21% average pressure is lost due to downstream guide vanes. It is proved from the 3-D CFD model with tip clearance that it can predict the experimental values quantitatively and qualitatively. Furthermore, it is estimated from the computed results that the efficiency of the turbine has been reduced about 4%, due to tip clearance leakage flow at higher flow coefficients. 相似文献
