我国国际工程承包企业面临日益增大的汇率风险。国际工程承包企业要构建有效的汇率风险防范体系,应有效组合制度与技术两方面因素,以外汇集中管理系统和汇率风险监测系统为制度平台。只有在构建制度平台的基础上,采取适当的技术措施,企业才能有效应对国际工程承包市场的日常汇率风险。  相似文献

Prior research has documented that IT investment increases market returns. Economic theories predict such returns to be recognized in accounting profitability; this relationship remains ambiguous in prior literature. We reexamine the relationship between IT investment and firm profitability. Our approach is unique in that we examine complementarities between distinct IT components. We document that a firm’s investments in IT components exhibit different impacts on its profitability conditional on the level of investments in complementary components.  相似文献

Abstract

The Information Services Department at the Washington, DC law firm, Dickstein Shapiro Morin & Oshinsky, decided in 1995 to provide firmwide access to the Internet. Two separate World Wide Web home pages would be created to meet the divergent needs of the Marketing Department and the information resource requirements of the attorneys, who would be using the Internet for research. In the course of developing Internet pages for the firm, the Library began working in conjunction with attorneys in various practice sections to locate and create Internet resources. The cooperation between attorneys and the Libraiy has led to Internet pages of hypertext linked resources for each specific practice section within the firm. Furthermore, some of the pages of resources have evolved into home pages for the various sections.  相似文献

总经理报酬是总经理激励机制的主要因素,如何决定总经理报酬是迫切需要研究的问题.通过对国外相关研究的综述和结合我国上市公司特点的分析,形成了关于企业绩效、企业规模和董事会控制强度与总经理报酬之间关系的假说,并以1999和2000年上市公司为样本,首次利用协方差结构模型对总经理报酬和其影响因素之间关系的假说进行了检验和分析.实证研究表明,两年里,企业业绩、企业规模和董事会控制强度3类因素对总经理报酬的总解释率分别为8.9%和30.7%.  相似文献

This article evaluates the propensity of firms to apply for R&D public grants, their capacity for obtaining subsides and how these relate to the firm age. This analysis is particularly relevant in understanding why young firms may be more or less successful in their application for public subsidies. Using data from an extensive database of 19,236 firms in Catalonia, we estimate a maximum likelihood probit model with sample selection. Our results show that firm age does not exert a significant direct impact on the application propensity in R&D public call, but younger firms tend to show a larger propensity to receive an R&D subsidy. They also show that firm age exerts a moderating role through different internal resources. They highlight the need to design R&D public policies that explicitly favour applications by young firms to help overcome their obstacles to innovation.  相似文献

Public clients in the construction sector face a number of challenges in designing, procuring and managing major construction projects. The client’s role in bringing about project delivery has more recently been emphasized, particularly with respect to developing capabilities that facilitate the coordinating of projects through its different phases. In line with these developments, this paper sets out to examine the management of capabilities in a client organization through the lens of the dynamic capabilities framework. In particular, what is investigated is how the client organization senses, seizes and transforms opportunities. In pursuit of this objective, an exploratory case study approach is adopted which examines one of Sweden’s largest public client organizations. The study explores the concept of dynamic capabilities and its applicability to the public construction context. Although the usefulness of dynamic capabilities as an interpretive framework is recognized, it is suggested that the concept of dynamic capabilities is inadequate for addressing the specific context in which public client organizations operate. Particularly with respect to the project-based characteristic of these organizations and the difficulty in framing what constitutes “competitive advantage” for public organizations.  相似文献

This paper examines the relationship between innovation performance and employment growth in firms by taking a closer look at specific innovation activities and industry effects in the context of the services sector. Firm-level CIS data on Polish services firms in 2004–2009 are analysed using robust M-estimation. The results indicate that the effects of product, process and organisational innovations depend strongly on the level of technological opportunities in the industry in question. Given the widely acknowledged role of marketing innovations in services, possible synergies between innovations in the form of new products and new marketing techniques are also analysed. We demonstrate that marketing innovations are conducive to firm growth if they complement product innovations, but they are less likely to foster growth when applied in isolation.  相似文献

Accessibility is one of the most important factors in a location choice decision of a firm. However, new and relocated establishments can value accessibility differently. Research papers differences of accessibility preferences between creations and relocations are scarce. In this paper, we examine these differences in an intraurban setting, the Lyon urban area. We rely on discrete choice models and data for more than 43,000 creations and 11,000 relocations during 2005–2011 from eight economic sectors. Results demonstrate that the effect of accessibility differs between creations and relocations of the same economic sector. This difference depends on the type of the economic activity of the sector.  相似文献
