Boiling of water/triethyleneglycol (TEG) binary solution has a wide-ranging application in the gas processing engineering. Design, operation and optimization of the involved boilers require accurate prediction of boiling heat transfer coefficient between surface and solution. In this investigation, nucleate pool boiling heat transfer coef-ficient has been experimentally measured on a horizontal rod heater in water/TEG binary solutions in a wide range of concentrations and heat fluxes under ambient condition. The present experimental data are correlated using major existing correlations. In addition a correlation is presented for prediction of pool boiling heat transfer for the system in which the vapour pressure of one component is negligible. This model is based on the mass transfer rate equation for prediction of the concentration at the bubble vapor/liquid interface. Based on this prediction, the temperature of the interface and accordingly, the boiling heat transfer coefficient could be straightforwardly calculated from the known concentration at the interface. It is shown that this simple model has sufficient accuracy and is acceptable below the medium concentrations of TEG when the vapor equilibrium concentration of TEG is almost zero. The presented model excludes any tuning parameter and requires very few physical properties to apply.  相似文献

The self-accelerating decomposition temperature (TSADT), critical temperature of thermal explosion (Tb), adiabatic time to explosion (tTIad), 50% drop height of impact sensitivity (H50), critical temperature of hot spot initiation caused by impact (Tcr,hotspot), safety degree (Sd), critical thermal explosion ambient temperature (Tacr), and thermal explosion probability (PTE) of the gun propellant composed of triethyleneglycol dinitrate (TEGDN), nitroglycerin (NG), and nitrocellulose (NC) were studied. The results of thermal safety evaluation on the gun propellant were obtained: (1) T00 = 433.4 K, TSADT = Te0 = 441.1 K, Tb = Tbp0 = 468.4 K; (2) when Ek = 205.3 × 103 J mol ?1 and Ak = 1020.62 s ?1, tTIad = 48.3 s, H50 = 17.93 cm, Tcr, hotspot = 634.9 K; for a sphere sample, TS(T)max  = 369.0K, Tacr = 364.2 K, Sd = 65.03%, PTE = 34.96%.  相似文献

The present investigation is concerned with the development of a new iterative method permitting, for a Fickian sorption of a binary liquid mixture in thin polymer sheets, the simultaneous determination of the self‐diffusion coefficients of the components of the mixture, and their uptake fractions at equilibrium. The approach is based on a new equation describing a parallel Fickian sorption of the components of the mixture into thin polymer sheets. The procedure was tested with ideal and Monte Carlo simulated data. The method, applied to ideal simulated data that corresponded to various values of D1, D2 and f, perfectly extracted the desired parameters. The application of the method to Monte Carlo simulated data revealed that this method is fairly applicable even when the simulated data are considerably obscured by “noise”. Finally, the proposed method was successfully applied to the experimental data concerning the sorption kinetics of ethanol–water mixture (75 vol % in EtOH) at 37°C in thin polymeric sheets of triethyleneglycol dimethacrylate (TEGDMA). © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
