An innovative zero emission hybrid cycle named HICES (hybrid and improved CES cycle) is presented in this paper. It can utilize fossil fuel and low quality thermal energy such as waste heat from industrial processes and solar thermal energy for highly efficient electric power generation. In the HICES cycle, natural gas is internally combusted with pure oxygen. External low quality thermal energy is used to produce saturated steam between 70 and 250 °C as part of the working fluid. The thermodynamic characteristics at design conditions of the HICES cycle are analyzed using the advanced process simulator Aspen Plus. The influences of some key parameters are investigated. The results demonstrate that the thermodynamic performances of the HICES cycle are quite promising. For example, when the external heat produced saturated steam is at 70 °C, the net fuel-to-electricity efficiency is 54.18% even when taking into account both the energy penalties to produce pure oxygen and to liquefy the captured CO2. The incremental low temperature heat to electric efficiency is as high as 14.08% at the same time. When the external heat produced saturated steam is at 250 °C, the net fuel-to-electricity efficiency reaches 62.66%. The incremental low temperature heat to electric efficiency achieves 48.92%. 相似文献

High reliability and security have become the hallmarks of complex electromechanical systems. Owing to the difficulties in fault data collection, ambiguity and uncertainty have been inevitably associated with complex electromechanical systems. Thus, the ability to perform reliability evaluation using scarce fault data is of immense significance to these machines and is the focus of this study. A similarity based cloud model is proposed to evaluate the running state of complex electromechanical systems. By combining objective and subjective factors, the reliability of complex electromechanical systems is evaluated by calculating the similarity between the cloud models of actual and standardised states. Next, the inverter of an offshore wind turbine is used to verify the accuracy and effectiveness of the proposed approach. The cloud model based framework for reliability evaluation inherits the preponderance of the uncertainty problem, overcomes the drawbacks of the current reliability approaches, and provides a theoretical basis, as well as a practical approach for the maintenance and repair of complex electromechanical systems with missing fault data. AbstractThis article elevates the study of Automatic Generation Control (AGC) for a multisource interconnected power system under the restructured environment. Physical constraints such as Generation Rate Constraints (GRC), Governor Dead Band (GDB) and Boiler Dynamics (BD) are incorporated into the system for a more realistic approach. Distribution Generation (DG) system is also considered to incorporate the effects of renewable energy sources penetration. A novel cascaded topology of 2-Degree of Freedom Tilted-Integral-Derivative Controller with filter (2DOF-TIDN) is proposed for anticipated AGC mechanism. A maiden application of Hybrid Salp Swarm Differential Evolution Algorithm (HSSDEA) has been successfully applied to get the different optimum gains of the proposed controller. Capacitive Energy Storage (CES) system is also incorporated for the proposed system for the AGC mechanism. The supremacy of the proposed controller is examined by comparing with other well-known or benchmark controllers. The robustness of the proposed system has been analyzed for the contract violation case of deregulation.
