Pb[(Zn1/3Nb2/3)0.91Ti0.09]O3 (PZNT91/9) single crystals were grown by two methods: from solution using PbO as a self‐fluxing agent (SC method) and directly from the melt without fluxing (MC method). In both growth methods, an allomeric Pb[(Mg1/3‐Nb2/3)0.69Ti0.31]O3 (PMNT69/31) single crystal was used as a seed. X‐ray diffraction patterns of ground crystals showed that phase‐pure perovskite PZNT91/9 single crystals were successfully fabricated by the above two methods. The composition of the crystals obtained by both the SC and MC methods was analyzed using X‐ray fluorescence, which confirmed that the crystal composition is close to the nominal value, although volatilization of PbO and segregation during crystal growth are inevitable. The MC PZNT91/9 crystals exhibit excellent piezoelectric properties, with the piezoelectric constant, d33, in the range of 1800–2200 pC N–1. This value is comparable to that of the SC crystals. However, the MC crystals show an abnormal dielectric behavior. In contrast with the SC crystals, in the MC crystals a much broader dielectric peak appears in the dielectric response curves, accompanied by a much lower peak temperature of around 105 °C. Furthermore, frequency dispersion is apparent over a much wider temperature range (even more apparent than in pure relaxors), where a large, i.e., about 70 °C, full width at half maximum (FWHM) for the dielectric peaks is observed in the dielectric response. It is speculated that such an unusual phenomenon correlates with defects, microinhomogeneities, and polar regions in the as‐grown MC crystals. The origins of this abnormality have not been interpreted in detail until now. However, optical observation of the domain structure confirms that both the SC and MC crystals possess complex structural states.  相似文献

A novel finger‐sensing nanocomposite with remarkable and reversible piezoresistivity is successfully fabricated by dispersing homogeneously conductive graphite nanosheets (GNs) in a silicone rubber (SR) matrix. Because of the high aspect ratio of the graphite nanosheets, the nanocomposite displays a very low percolation threshold. The SR/GN nanocomposite with a volume fraction of conductive nanosheets closest to that for the percolation threshold presents a sharp positive‐pressure coefficient effect of the resistivity under very low pressure, namely, in the finger‐pressure range (0.3–0.7 MPa), whereby the abrupt transition could be attributed to compressive‐stress‐induced deformation of the conducting network. The super‐sensitive piezoresistive behavior of the nanocomposite is accounted for by an extension of the tunneling conduction theory which provides a good approximation to the piezoresistive effect.  相似文献

The dielectric and ferroelectric properties of the ceramic system, (1  x)Ba0.8Ca0.2TiO3xBi(Zn0.5Ti0.5)O3, were investigated for compositions 0  x  0.4. X-ray powder diffraction patterns indicated tetragonal symmetry at x  0.05, switching to pseudocubic at x  0.1, with a single-phase solid solution limit at 0.2 < x < 0.3. The x = 0 and 0.05 samples were ferroelectric; a change to relaxor behaviour occurred at x  0.1, with broad frequency dependent peaks in plots of relative permittivity versus temperature. A significant reduction in the temperature dependence of relative permittivity occurred at x = 0.3, with ɛr = 1030 ± 15% over the temperature range ∼25–425 °C, and loss tangent, tan δ  0.01 from 110 °C to 420 °C. The dc resistivity values for x = 0.3 were ∼109 Ω m at 300 °C and ∼106 Ω m at 450 °C.  相似文献

A three‐dimensional conductive nanocomposite with an ordered conductive network and low percolation threshold has been successfully prepared by blending graphite nanosheets (GNs) with polyethylene on a two‐roll mill. The conductive nanosheets orient intensively in the composite, leading to highly anisotropic properties. The nanocomposite with the fraction of conductive nanosheets closest to the percolation threshold possesses a sharp positive pressure coefficient of resistivity, in which the abrupt transition can be attributed to compressive‐stress‐induced deformation of the conductive network. Such piezoresistive effects depend strongly on filler morphology, filler spatial arrangement, and filler concentration.  相似文献

Electrically charged cellular polymer films can exhibit very high piezoelectric activity and are therefore more and more often employed in advanced electromechanical and electro‐acoustical transducers. In this paper, we report an optimized sequence of steps for preparing such ferroelectrets from commercial nonvoided poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PETP) films by means of foaming with CO2, biaxial mechanical stretching, controlled void inflation, and bipolar electric charging. The nonvoided PETP films were foamed with supercritical CO2 at a suitably high pressure and subsequently annealed for stabilization. The cellular foam structure was further optimized by means of well‐controlled biaxial stretching in a commercial stretcher and sometimes subsequent inflation in a pressure chamber. Bipolar electric charging of the internal voids was achieved through the application of high electric fields in an SF6 atmosphere. The new optimized PETP ferroelectrets exhibit quite large piezoelectric coefficients up to almost 500 pC N–1, for which unusually low elastic stiffnesses of only around 0.3 MPa are essential. The PETP‐foam ferroelectrets possess unclamped thickness‐extension resonance frequencies between approximately 120 and 250 kHz, and are thus highly suitable for several established as well as novel ultrasonic‐transducer applications.  相似文献

Sodium niobate – NN (NaNbO3) powders were synthesized by hydrothermal process to be used as template particles in the fabrication of textured lead free piezoelectric ceramics. Sodium hexaniobate–Na8Nb6O19⋅13H2O particles with rod-like morphology were synthesized at 120 °C. Particles with needle-like morphology and Na2(Nb2O6)(H2O) phase started to form at temperatures of 130 °C and above. Synthesis at 150 °C yields particles with totally needle-like morphology and consisting entirely of the Na2(Nb2O6)(H2O) phase. Sodium niobate–NaNbO3 particles with cubic morphology were synthesized at temperatures of 160 °C and above. Rod-like and needle-like morphology was retained even after annealing at 400 °C for 1 h. A preliminary study was also done to integrate these anisometric template particles in the preparation of textured potassium sodium niobate (KNN) fibers.  相似文献
