An expression of characteristic function of signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) for two waves with diffused power (TWDP) fading channel is derived. Using this expression, the expression for the probability density function (PDF) of the output SNR of maximal ratio combining (MRC) receiver is obtained. Expressions for the performance matrix of MRC receiver over TWDP fading channels are also deduced. PDF based approach is followed to derive expressions of outage probability and average symbol error rate for coherent and non-coherent m-ary modulation schemes. Effects of the number of branches M and the fading parameters K and Δ on the system performance are studied. The results obtained are verified by Monte Carlo simulation.  相似文献

Recently, the two-wave with diffuse power (TWDP) distribution has been extensively used to model the shadowing in multipath-faded/shadowed indoor environment. In this article, novel expressions for joint moments, mean, second moment, variance and cumulative distribution function for Rayleigh TWDP shadowed fading model are derived. By using the derived expression of mean and variance, the expression for amount of fading is obtained. Also, the outage probability, moment generating function and average bit error rate (ABER) for various modulation schemes namely binary phase shift keying (BPSK), binary frequency shift keying (BFSK), minimum shift keying (MSK), differentially coherent phase shift keying (DCPSK) and non-coherent frequency shift keying (NCFSK) are calculated. The derived expressions for cumulative distribution function, outage probability and ABER are presented in analytical format and have been numerically evaluated. Moreover, the numerical results of ABER using MSK and DPSK modulation schemes is compare with results of Rayleigh Gamma composite fading model. The study shows that better outage probability (0.01) is observed at 40dB average signal to noise ratio (SNR) with 5dB lowest threshold SNR, however, at higher threshold SNR (>5dB) with fixed average SNR (40dB), poor outage probability performance are obtained. Further, at higher shadowing (10dB), for fixed average SNR (15dB), minimum error probability (10?4) is observe, while at lower shadowing (less than 10dB), higher error probability (greater than 10?4) is observed that represents poor BER performance.  相似文献

An expression for the probability distribution function (PDF) of the signal-to-noise ratio of a selection combining receiver in two-wave with diffuse power fading channel is derived. Using this PDF expression, the capacity for the different adaptive transmission techniques employing selection combining (SC) are obtained. The study presents the effects of the ratio of total dominant signal power to the scattered signal power on the system capacity. The change in the capacity of the system with the diversity order for a SC receiver in the fading channel is also presented.  相似文献

In this paper, the performance of spectrum sensing techniques over two wave diffused power (TWDP) fading channels has been investigated for CR based IoT devices. The ubiquitous objects based on IoTs with cognitive capabilities are the future that would enable intelligent decisions to achieve any time, any place, interference-free and on-demand services. In this work, new closed-form expressions in terms of Marcum-Q function and Whittaker function for the spectrum detection probability over TWDP fading channels have been derived for different sensing techniques. The expressions are then used to optimize the decision threshold for IoT sensor nodes describing the optimal behavior of sensing over TWDP channels. The error probabability and Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curves have been plotted and the operating point and limiting values of threshold for optimal performance have been identified. The performance loss of traditional energy detection (ED), cyclostationary based detection (CSD) and matched filtering detector (MFD) has been analyzed. The analytical results thus obtained are validated through monte-carlo simulations.  相似文献

研究了深空通信系统的性能计算。系统采用Feher正交相移键控(FQPSK)调制和双波散射功率(TWDP)衰落信道,因为TWDP信道模型的散射传输波中含有两个镜面反射多径分量,可依据不同参数表达不同的衰落,因此适合描述复杂的电磁深空通信环境;FQPSK调制与标准QPSK相比具有频谱主瓣窄和滚降快的优势,因此更适合应用于深空通信系统中。为简化系统性能计算,推导了FQPSK调制在TWDP衰落下的误码率闭式解,并验证了推导的正确性。基于深空通信系统仿真平台,分析了不同种类QPSK调制及各种TWDP衰落参数下的误码率性能。结果表明,FQPSK与QPSK相比,结合卷积编码后可实现性能提升。  相似文献
