The time-dependent traveling salesman problem (TDTSP) is a variant of TSP with time-dependent edge costs. We study some restrictions of TDTSP where the number of edge cost changes are limited. We find competitive ratios for online versions of TDTSP. From these we derive polynomial time approximation algorithms for graphs with edge costs one and two. In addition, we present an approximation algorithm for the orienteering problem with edge costs one and two.  相似文献

In most research on the hot strip mill production scheduling problem (HSMPSP) arising in the steel industry, it is accepted that a schedule with lower penalty caused by jumps of width, hardness, and gauge will result in lower roller wear, so it is regarded as a better schedule. However, based on the analysis of production processes, it is realised that rolling each coil also cause roller wear. In order to assessing the roller wear associated with production scheduling more precisely, it is necessary to consider it as another factor besides those jumps, especially when complicated constraints are involved. In this paper, an improved method is proposed to quantify the expected wear of the rollers done by those jumps and rolling processes. Then the HSMPSP whose objective is to maximise the total length of all scheduled coils is formulated as a team orienteering problem with time windows and additional production constraints. A heuristic method combining an improved Ant Colony Extended algorithm with local search procedures dedicated to HSMPSP is developed. Finally, computational results on instances generated based on production data from an integrated steel mill in China indicate that the proposed algorithm is a promising solution specific to HSMPSP.  相似文献

Traditional route planners commonly focus on finding the shortest path between two points in terms of travel distance or time over road networks.However,in real cases,especially in the era of smart cities where many kinds of transportation-related data become easily available,recent years have witnessed an increasing demand of route planners that need to optimize for multiple criteria,e.g.,finding the route with the highest accumulated scenic score along(utility)while not exceeding the given travel time budget(cost).Such problem can be viewed as a variant of arc orienteering problem(AOP),which is well-known as an NP-hard problem.In this paper,targeting a more realistic AOP,we allow both scenic score(utility)and travel time(cost)values on each arc of the road network are time-dependent(2TD-AOP),and propose a memetic algorithm to solve it.To be more specific,within the given travel time budget,in the phase of initiation,for each population,we iteratively add suitable arcs with high scenic score and build a path from the origin to the destination via a complicate procedure consisting of search region narrowing,chromosome encoding and decoding.In the phase of the local search,each path is improved via chromosome selection,local-improvement-based mutation and crossover operations.Finally,we evaluate the proposed memetic algorithm in both synthetic and real-life datasets extensively,and the experimental results demonstrate that it outperforms the baselines.  相似文献

Personalised electronic tourist guides (PETs) are mobile hand-held devices able to create tourist routes matching tourists' preferences. Transportation information has been identified as one of the most appreciated functionalities of a PET. We model the tourist planning problem, integrating public transportation, as the time-dependent team orienteering problem with time windows (TD-TOPTW) in order to allow PETs to create personalised tourist routes in real-time. We develop and compare two different approaches to solve the TD-TOPTW. Experimental results for the city of San Sebastian show that both approaches are able to obtain routes in real-time.  相似文献
