A simple quasi-2D model for the temperature distribution in a graphite tube furnace is presented. The model is used to estimate the temperature gradients in the furnace at temperatures above which contact sensors can be used, and to assist in the redesign of the furnace heater element to improve the temperature gradients. The Thermogage graphite tube furnace is commonly used in many NMIs as a blackbody source for radiation thermometer calibration and as a spectral irradiance standard. Although the design is robust, easy to operate and can change temperature rapidly, it is limited by its effective emissivity of typically 99.5–99.8%. At NMIA, the temperature gradient along the tube is assessed using thermocouples up to about 1,500°C, and the blackbody emissivity is calculated from this. However, at higher operating temperatures (up to 2,900°C), it is impractical to measure the gradient, and we propose to numerically model the temperature distributions used to calculate emissivity. In another paper at this conference, the model is used to design an optimized heater tube with improved temperature gradients. In the model presented here, the 2-D temperature distribution is simplified to separate the axial and radial temperature distributions within the heater tube and the surrounding insulation. Literature data for the temperature dependence of the electrical and thermal conductivities of the graphite tube were coupled to models for the thermal conductivity of the felt insulation, particularly including the effects of allowing for a gas mixture in the insulation. Experimental measurements of the temperature profile up to 1,500°C and radial heat fluxes up to 2,200°C were compared to the theoretical predictions of the model and good agreement was obtained.  相似文献

Hg1-xMnxTe semiconducting semimagnetic alloy has been examined in the context of its possible applications in infrared detectors. For analysis of detector properties the intrinsic carrier concentration has been calculated as a function of temperature and crystal composition. The starting material was In-doped Hg1-xMnxTe grown by the modified Bridgman method. The as-grown crystals with manganese content of 12-19% were p-type with carrier concentration and mobility of 100 cm2/ Vs at 77 K. An-type layer was formed on the surface by the annealing process in saturated Hg-vapour at 270-320° for 2 hrs. Capacitance-voltage curves have C-3 dependence on applied voltage indicating that the junction is linearly graded. From standard electrical measurements and spectral characteristics the main detector parameters were determined and compared to those of Hg1-xCdxTe devices. The influence of material properties on detector parameters was analyzed. In order to estimate the carrier transport mechanisms, differential resistivities and current-voltage curves were measured over a wide range of temperaturesi.e. 25 to 300 K. From the temperature dependence of the R0A product, it was established that at high temperatures (150-300 K) the carrier transport is dominated by a recombination-generation mechanism. In low temperature region the excess current at forward bias is probably attributed to carrier tunneling via energy states distributed randomly within the forbidden gap. At reverse bias the leakage surface or volume currents dominate in the carrier transport.  相似文献

Quasi-two-dimensional (Q-2D) perovskites are emerging as one of the most promising materials for photodetectors. However, a significant challenge to Q-2D perovskites for photodetection is their insufficient charge transport ability, which is mainly attributed to their hybrid low-dimensional n-phase structure. This study demonstrates that evenly-distributed 3D-like phases with vertical orientation throughout the film can greatly facilitate charge transport and suppress charge recombination, outperforming the prevalent phase structure with a vertical dimension gradient. Based on such a phase structure, a Q-2D Ruddlesden−Popper perovskite self-powered photodetector achieving a combination of exceptional figures-of-merit is realized, including a responsivity of 0.45 AW−1, a peak specific detectivity of 2.3 × 1013 Jones, a 156 dB linear dynamic range, and a rise/fall time of 2.89 µs/1.93 µs. The desired phase structure is obtained by utilizing a double-hole transport layer (HTL), combining hydrophobic PTAA and hydrophilic PEDOT: PSS. Besides, the dependence of the hybrid low-dimensional phase structure is also identified on the surface energy of the buried HTL substrate. This study gives insight into the correlation between Q-2D perovskites’ phase structure and performance, providing a valuable design guide for Q-2D perovskite-based photodetectors.  相似文献

提出了一种新型的基于反射光栅干涉仪的低背景光谱仪,当使用工作在背景限制条件下的探测器时,降低背景噪声,有利于提高光谱仪系统的探测率,进而可提高光谱仪的信噪比.由于理想反射镜发射率为零,故其干涉仪组件无黑体辐射.因此,基于低温光源、低温探测器和光栅干涉仪的光谱仪,其探测到的背景辐射大幅降低.进而得到低背景下的探测率实现灵敏探测.理论分析表明随背景辐射的降低,背景限制条件下探测器的探测率可大幅提高.理想情况下,对工作在背景限制下的碲镉汞探测器,当由300 K的背景辐射降至77 K时,其探测率和相应光谱仪的信噪比可提高三个数量级.另外,与之前报导的低温迈克尔逊光谱仪相比,它结构紧凑且无需对干涉仪降温,易于搭建.该设计对红外灵敏探测有重要意义.  相似文献

Radiation energy transfer is modeled as the enthalpy flux of photons across the boundary of a thermodynamic system. It is proved that this energy transfer process can be treated as heat transfer. Compression work must be applied to the system to push the photons out. The energy transfer rate and maximum conversion efficiency computed from the model are identical to those determined from the Stefan–Boltzmann law and the Carnot efficiency for blackbody radiation.  相似文献

文章采用富Te水平推舟液相外延工艺在CdZnTe衬底上生长了HgCdTe外延薄膜。研究了外延薄膜/衬底晶格失配度、X光衍射貌相、红外焦平面器件探测率三者之间的关系。对于HgCdTe外延层的X光衍射貌相我们将其大致分为五类,分别是Crosshatch貌相、混合貌相、均匀背景貌相、Mosaic貌相以及由衬底质量问题引起的沟壑状貌相,采用Crosshatch貌相和混合貌相材料所制备的红外焦平面器件,平均来说其探测率(D*)较高。X射线双轴衍射的实验结果表明,当外延层与衬底的晶格失配度为~0.03%时,外延层会呈现明显的Crosshatch貌相;而当失配度减小时,会逐渐呈现出混合貌相、均匀背景貌相、直至失配度为负值时呈现Mosaic貌相。因此,对于特定截止波长的HgCdTe焦平面器件,可以通过控制HgCdTe/CdZnTe之间的失配,生长出符合我们要求的貌相的碲镉汞外延材料,从而来提高焦平面器件的性能。  相似文献
