The protocol for the measurement of ozone demand of water and the change in the dissolved ozone residual with time, using the Gas Ozone Test (GOT) was applied in monitoring water quality of two water treatment facilities. The change in the ozone concentration of water as a function of time was measured for each sample. The resulting half-time was correlated with the ozone dosage, although this parameter does not appear to be directly linked to the characteristics of the water samples studied. The change in the ozone concentration of water as a function of time and ozone dose, measured by the GOT, has direct applications in the sizing of ozonation reactors. 相似文献

Elettaria cardamomum is one of the most broadly used spices in Moroccan gastronomy. Its antimicrobial activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacterial species was demonstrated. Likewise, its toxicity was investigated on Swiss albinos mice. Daily, mice were treated orally with 0.003 and 0.3 mg during 7 days. Plasmatic markers and antioxidant defence systems were assessed and histological alterations were evaluated. A significant increase in creatine phosphokinase level was observed. The microscopic evaluation shows that E. cardamomum induce morphological perturbation in mice’s heart. The results show also an inhibitory effect of glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate dehydrogenase and an important increase in the level of thiobarbituric acid reactive substances, succinate dehydrogenase and catalase activities. Results show that E. cardamomum induces toxicity at 0.3 mg/g mouse and affect energy metabolism and oxidative stress. 相似文献

The effectiveness of the pink-juice test to determine 79.4 °C end-point temperature (EPT) of cooked beef logs was appraised. Logs made from five cuts of meat from three animal age groups were fabricated in triplicate to simulate products received at ports of entry and then cooked to EPTs of 78.0–81.8 °C. CIELAB L*, a*, b*, C and h ° values of internal surfaces of freshly sliced meat and pressed juices from samples were determined. Sensory ratings were made by six trained panelists to determine intensities of residual red color of the juices. Animal age and cut of meat had little effect on the CIELAB color values. Residual red color was apparent in all samples by both sensory and a* values analysis. Sensory ratings did not vary significantly (P < 0.05) by animal age or cut of meat. Average values of 3.2 (intensity range, 1–9) corresponded to an EPT slightly greater than 80 °C; absence of red color in the juices would therefore indicate an EPT in excess of the target temp of 79.4 °C. Residual glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase activity (GOT) activity, used as a collateral test for EPT, ranged from 482.5 to 1641.8 SFU ml−1 of juice and differed significantly by cut of meat (P < 0.05), but not by animal age. © 1999 Society of Chemical Industry 相似文献

本文选取重大专项综合性能试验开展的主蒸汽管道断裂事故全过程瞬态模拟工况作为基准工况,应用GOTHIC程序进行了详细的三维建模,模拟了试验壳大空间和热阱储热、蒸汽在壳体内壁面冷凝、壳体外壁面水膜蒸发等传热传质过程。通过对比试验数据和程序计算结果,研究试验壳大空间的热工响应特性和程序模型的适用性。研究结果表明:程序模型能很好地分析试验壳温度、压力变化趋势,尤其是在蒸汽大流量喷放后阶段,程序分析结果和试验结果符合很好。另外,喷口的射流类型会显著影响大空间温度分层现象,进而影响蒸汽在试验壳体内壁面的冷凝过程。该研究结果可为后续应用GOTHIC程序分析非能动核电厂安全壳响应的可行性提供参考和借鉴。 相似文献

在可执行和可链接格式(ELF)的可执行程序中,存在一个全局偏移表(GOT),用于存放引用库函数的绝对地址,但是在Linux系统中,GOT解引用和GOT覆写是两种比较常用的漏洞利用方法。通过分析GOT的特性,提出并实现了基于地址随机和段隔离的GOT保护方法。通过修改Linux的可执行程序加载器,将与GOT有数据指向关系的节均加载到随机内存地址;同时使用段隔离技术,对GOT的代码引用的指令使用一个新的段寄存器进行间接引用。实验结果证明,该方法不仅能够有效地防御针对GOT的漏洞利用方法,而且性能损耗极低,只有平均2.9 ms的额外开销。 相似文献

Glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase (GOT) activities in chicken and turkey thigh and breast meat samples, thermally processed at 60–84°C in a model heat-treating system, were evaluated for use as indicators of end-point cooking temperatures (EPT). Wings, breasts, thighs and legs from commercially cooked, whole, roasted chickens and commercially processed products containing chicken and turkey meat were analyzed also to determine if residual GOT activities would indicate compliance with recent FDA/FSIS EPT recommendations. Activities of samples processed in the model system decreased logarithmically with increasing temperatures. GOT activities were higher (P < 0·05) in thigh meat than breast meat in both chicken and turkey samples; activities were higher in turkey than chicken. GOT values for chicken thigh and breast meat at 74°C, the FDA/FSIS recommended EPT for use by food handlers and retailers, were 735 and 164 Sigma-Frankel units ml?1 (SFU ml?1), respectively. Values for turkey thigh and breast meat at this temperature were 1080 and 450 SFU ml?1, respectively. The range of activities was 7–13 SFU ml?1 in commercially prepared chicken products and 27–161 SFU ml?1 in turkey products. Analysis of these products showed adequate cooking and compliance with FDA/FSIS recommended EPT for retail sale. These data indicate that residual GOT activity in processed poultry has potential for use as an indicator of EPT. 相似文献
