Ferroelectric/shape memory alloy thin film multilayered heterostructures possess both sensing and actuating functions and are considered to be smart. In this article, Pb(Zr0.52Ti0.48)O3 (PZT) ferroelectric thin films and Ti-riched TiNi shape memory alloy thin films have been deposited on Si and SiO2/Si substrates in the 400-600 °C temperature range by pulsed laser deposition technique. Deposition processing, microstructure and surface morphology of these films are described. The TiNi films deposited at 500 °C had an austenitic B2 structure with preferred (110) orientation. The surfaces of the films were very smooth with the root-mean-square roughness on a unit cell level. The structure of the TiNi films had a significant influence on that of the subsequently deposited PZT films. The single B2 austenite phase of the TiNi favored the growth of perovskite PZT films. The PZT/TiNi heterostructures with the PZT and TiNi films respectively deposited at 600 and 500 °C exhibited a polarization-electric field hysteresis behavior with a leakage current of about 2 × 10− 6 A/cm2.  相似文献

The CERN SPS experiment COMPASS has integrated a Conditions Database System in its off-line software. The system is used to manage time-dependent information, detector condition, calibration, and geometrical alignment information, by using a package provided by the CERN IT/DB. This integrated system consists of administration tools, a data handling library, and data transfer software from the detector control system to the Conditions Database. In this paper, the status of the Conditions Database project is described, and the results of the performance test on the COMPASS computing farm are given.  相似文献

A simplified 2D method of angular coefficients is applied to calculations of the molecular pumping properties of complex vacuum systems. An optimization of geometry for the cold LHC beam vacuum chamber with electron shields is performed.An additional interesting application of the angular coefficients method is the estimation of the effective secondary electron emission from surface with artificial roughness. This method allows to take into account re-reflection of electrons using experimental data of the secondary electron energy distributions and surface reflectivity. The suppression efficiency of the secondary electron emission from Cu as a function of roughness parameter is presented. This result is a good input for designing future accelerators and storage rings with potential electron-cloud problems.  相似文献

A TEOS/O2 supermagnetron double electrode plasma system was used to deposit SiO2 films. Deposition rates were measured as a function of rf power and substrate stage temperature. With an increase of rf power on both electrodes from 40 to 80W, the deposition rate increased; however, with a further increase of rf power from 80 to 120W, the deposition rate ceased to increase or decreased only a small amount. The presence of O-H bonds from bonded water in the film was evaluated using buffered HF (BHF) etching solution. With an increase of rf power from 40 to 120W, the BHF etch rate decreased; i.e., the number of O-H bonds were reduced. A minimum BHF etch rate was observed at a rf phase difference of 180° between the two rf power sources. A SiO2 film was deposited on a trench-patterned quartz substrate. A flat surface SiO2 layer with air gaps (voids) was formed on the high-aspect ratio (depth/width=1.5-2) trench area.  相似文献

State-of-the-art molecular dynamics (MD) simulations generate massive datasets involving billion-vertex chemical bond networks, which makes data mining based on graph algorithms such as K-ring analysis a challenge. This paper proposes an algorithm to improve the efficiency of ring analysis of large graphs, exploiting properties of K-rings and spatial correlations of vertices in the graph. The algorithm uses dual-tree expansion (DTE) and spatial hash-function tagging (SHAFT) to optimize computation and memory access. Numerical tests show nearly perfect linear scaling of the algorithm. Also a parallel implementation of the DTE + SHAFT algorithm achieves high scalability. The algorithm has been successfully employed to analyze large MD simulations involving up to 500 million atoms.  相似文献

The insulation vacuum (<10−4 Pa) of the large hadron collider magnet cryostats, thermally protecting the superconducting magnets which operate at 1.9 K in superfluid helium, is divided in to 214 m long segments separated by means of insulation vacuum barriers.The insulation vacuum barrier is a leak-tight stainless steel welded structure, composed of two concentric corrugated cylinders and one internal bellows linked together by a 6 mm thick central plate. As the vacuum barrier mechanically links the cryostat vacuum vessel operating at ambient temperature and the 1.9 K superconducting magnets, it is designed to have minimum heat conductivity. Conduction heat in-leak is intercepted at 65 K by a high-purity copper ring brazed onto the stainless steel central plate and thermally linked to a cryogenic line by a copper-aluminium soldering. The thermal performance has been experimentally validated by cryogenic testing.This paper presents the results obtained after industrialisation, manufacture and testing of prototypes and series units. Qualification of leak-tight welds in thin-sheet stainless steel (thickness 0.15-1.3 mm) has been carried out. Ultrasonic testing is performed on all brazing and soldering. Helium leak testing is performed, using dedicated tooling, to ensure a leak-tightness to a rate better than 10−9 Pa m3 s−1.  相似文献

With the growing popularity of the velocity map imaging technique, a need for the analysis of photoion and photoelectron images arose. Here, a computer program is presented that allows for the analysis of cylindrically symmetric images. It permits the inversion of the projection of the 3D charged particle distribution using the Onion Peeling Algorithm. Further analysis includes the determination of radial and angular distributions, from which velocity distributions and spatial anisotropy parameters are obtained. Identification and quantification of the different photolysis channels is therefore straightforward. In addition, the program features geometry correction, centering, and multi-Gaussian fitting routines, as well as a user-friendly graphical interface and the possibility of generating synthetic images using either the fitted or user-defined parameters.

Reconstructing the three-dimensional distribution from the photofragment image is the first step, further processing involving angular and radial integration of the inverted image to obtain velocity and angular distributions. Provisions have to be made to correct for slight distortions of the image, and to verify the accuracy of the analysis process.Method of solution: The “Onion Peeling” algorithm described by Helm [Rev. Sci. Instrum. 67 (6) (1996)] is used to perform the image reconstruction. Angular integration with a subsequent multi-Gaussian fit supplies information about the velocity distribution of the photofragments, whereas radial integration with subsequent expansion of the angular distributions over Legendre Polynomials gives the spatial anisotropy parameters. Fitting algorithms have been developed to centre the image and to correct for image distortion.Restrictions on the complexity of the problem: The maximum image size (1280×1280) and resolution (16 bit) are restricted by available memory and can be changed in the source code. Initial centre coordinates within 5 pixels may be required for the correction and the centering algorithm to converge. Peaks on the velocity profile separated by less then the peak width may not be deconvolved. In the charged particle image reconstruction, it is assumed that the kinetic energy released in the dissociation process is small compared to the energy acquired in the electric field. For the fitting parameters to be physically meaningful, cylindrical symmetry of the image has to be assumed but the actual inversion algorithm is stable to distortions of such symmetry in experimental images.Typical running time: The analysis procedure can be divided into three parts: inversion, fitting, and geometry correction. The inversion time grows approx. as R3, where R is the radius of the region of interest: for R=200 pixels it is less than a minute, for R=400 pixels less then 6 min on a 400 MHz IBM personal computer. The time for the velocity fitting procedure to converge depends strongly on the number of peaks in the velocity profile and the convergence criterion. It ranges between less then a second for simple curves and a few minutes for profiles with up to twenty peaks. The time taken for the image correction scales as R2 and depends on the curve profile. It is on the order of a few minutes for images with R=500 pixels.Unusual features of the program: Our centering and image correction algorithm is based on Fourier analysis of the radial distribution to insure the sharpest velocity profile and is insensitive to an uneven intensity distribution. Bulk ferromagnetic amorphous Fe-Ni-P-B alloys in rod shape were formed by a rapid solidification technique. The largest amorphous specimen prepared had a diameter of ∼ 2.5 mm and the corresponding cooling rate for the glass formation of this alloy system in our experiment can be estimated to be around 492.4 K/s by the method of finite-difference numerical calculation. This value is on the same order of magnitude as the critical cooling rate Rc of Fe40Ni40P14B6 alloy estimated by the method of constructing the continuous-cooling-transformation (CCT) curve. It is indicated that the heterophase impurities have been eliminated well in our experiment.  相似文献

“La Alcazaba de Almería” is one of the most impressive mediaeval remains in Al-Andalus. It was the sea port of the Córdoba Caliphate and, afterwards, the capital of a “Taifa” kingdom. In the course of recent excavations in this monumental area, several glass remains were found in the access to its palace and were dated back to the XIII-XV centuries, during the so-called “Nazarí” period.We have made PIGE and PIXE analysis of different fragments of these glasses in order to identify their composition versus the different colours and shapes. These analyses have been complemented with other techniques, like SEM in order to learn about the corrosion process suffered by these glasses during their long burial period. Also a comparison with ICP-OES has been made to check the validity of the IBA results in this case where we are dealing with corroded samples.  相似文献
