The challenges of mobile devices such as limited bandwidth, computing, and storage have led manufacturers and service providers to develop new value-added mobile services. To address these limitations, mobile cloud computing, which offers on-demand services including platforms, infrastructure, and software have been developed. This study attempts to build a significantly improved research framework based on the Technology Acceptance Model in order to identify factors that affect students' attitudes toward and intentions in using mobile cloud storage services. A structural equation model was used to assess the proposed model based on the data collected from 262 undergraduate students. Results show that perceived usefulness, subjective norm, and trust have a significantly positive effect on the attitude, which in turn is a significant predictor of behavioral intentions. The research model, which explains 82% of the variance in attitudes toward using mobile cloud storage services has a strong predictive power. The findings have both theoretical and practical implications for academics, managers, and educational institutions.  相似文献

An analysis of four transportation systems (Vélib, Zipcar, ERP Singapore, and Transantiago) shows the strategic value of creating a symbiotic relationship between physical and informational systems in order to increase the convenience and patronage of these systems. The four information drives (ubiquity, uniqueness, unison, and universality) are extended to a physical setting and used to report the key characteristics of each system from both a physical and informational perspective. The article argues that the traditional customer orientation to determining systems requirements may fail to create the breakthrough systems designs that are required to reduce society’s climate harming emissions. Rather, we need an innovation orientation based on understanding consumers’ fundamental physical and informational needs.  相似文献

Although the 5G market is expected to be vast, consumers remain concerned about privacy on 5G networks, and acceptance of 5G has been little examined. This study investigated how subjective norms and 5G privacy, speed, and ubiquity influence attitude toward 5G, word of mouth, and willingness to pay for 5G by considering the technology acceptance model. The role of regulatory focus was also evaluated. Privacy, speed, ubiquity, and subjective norms (antecedents); WOM and willingness to pay (dependent variables); attitude toward 5G (mediator); and regulatory focus (moderator) were measured by adapting items developed elsewhere; 222 responses were received, 202 (91%) of which were valid. Privacy significantly negatively affected attitude toward 5G, whereas speed had a significant positive effect. Positive relationships were observed between attitude toward 5G and ubiquity, subjective norms, WOM, and willingness to pay. Attitude toward 5G fully mediated the relationships among privacy, speed, ubiquity, subjective norms, and WOM.  相似文献

The phenomenon of social learning analytics presents a synergy between variety of disciplines, such as business intelligence, educational data mining, cyberlearning, and cyber infrastructure. The main contribution of this research is to combine two types of social learning analytics, social learning network analysis and social learning content analysis in studying the impact of the Social Multimedia Systems (SMSs) on cyberlearners. The research study provided in this paper is based on the survey data collected in spring 2011 at Western Kentucky University. The evidence obtained from the analysis shows that SMS impacts (a) the digital communication between faculty and students; (b) students’ success and grades; (c) the amount of materials covered and learned; (d) the effectiveness of studying; (e) the depth of learning; (f) the ability to focus on the most important learning objectives; (g) the degree of collaboration among students; and (h) the students’ motivation of studying.  相似文献

This study aimed to develop a comprehensive research model, and identify the factors that are positively associated with usage intention of remote smart city services. A theoretical model was developed based on the stimulus–organism–response framework, and the impact of stimulus and organism constructs on responses were investigated. A total of 376 survey responses were collected from two national pilot smart cities (Busan and Sejong) in South Korea, and partial least squares structural equation modeling was employed to test the hypotheses. Among the three stimuli factors, the citizens of Busan perceived the importance of ubiquity and autonomy most highly. However, the citizens of Sejong considered information exchange and ubiquity as crucial determinants of satisfaction. The findings revealed that the significant stimuli factors are not the same between smart cities, and there can be differences in the detailed attributes required in smart cities.  相似文献
