本文将等效介电常数近似分析方法在应用范围和处理方法上进行了一些改进.发展为双等效介电常数近似分析法,然后用它来分析矩形介质波导阵列.推得两个一维周期的耦合特征方程。如果将Macatili方法应用范围扩展用来研究该波导阵列也会得到同样的结果,它们都能在二维平面上较准确地反应出通带和阻带等主要周期特性。  相似文献

Therapeutic ultrasound angioplasty has been investigated, clinically, by a number of researchers and represents a potentially promising therapy for the treatment of atherosclerotic lesions. To date, there has been no detailed analysis of the effect of mechanical design parameters, such as wire geometry or damping characteristics, on wire waveguide performance. An apparatus capable of delivering therapeutic ultrasound down small diameter nickel–titanium (NiTi) wire waveguides is described. The output peak-to-peak (p–p) displacements at the distal tip of a 1.0 mm diameter waveguide were measured experimentally, by means of an optical microscope and image analysis software. The output was measured for a range of waveguide lengths from 118 to 303 mm. Wire waveguide distal tip displacements as high as 98 μm (p–p) at 23.5 kHz were measured. For the range of lengths tested, the experimental measurements show the critical relationship between the length of the waveguide and the output distal tip displacements. A finite element model that can predict the resonant frequencies and distal tip displacements of various wire waveguide geometries and configurations, including the effect of damping, is presented. This numerical model has been validated against the experimental displacement data obtained. This will be a valuable design tool for ensuring the safety and effectiveness of therapeutic ultrasound angioplasty procedures.  相似文献

传统光传输系统设计多针对低速率传输系统,单一采用光功率分配预算即可满足系统设计要求。随着光传输速率和光通信容量的不断增加,高速光传输系统受色散影响严重,传统方法无法满足系统可靠性和有效性的要求,需要对系统色散进行补偿。针对系统大容量高速率的需求设计,采取DWDM光传输系统总体设计方案,提出了一种基于光功率分配、传输误码率、系统上升时间和线路色散预算的综合性能评价方法,分析了系统受各种因素的影响,通过系统参数优化选取与仿真设计,给出了系统仿真评估结果。  相似文献

In this paper, a micro electro-optic sensor structure and its sensing technique based on lattice-shifted resonant microcavity (H0-nanocavity) in a triangular lattice photonic crystals (PhCs) slab are presented. The H0-nanocavity is formed by only laterally shifting two adjacent holes outwards slightly in the opposite direction, which can realize a nanocavity with high quality factor (Q) value to meet the requirements of practical application. The electro-optic sensor is realized in hole-array based photonic crystal slab with triangular lattice air holes infiltrated with a nonlinear optical (NLO) polymer (npoly = 1.6) in Silicon-on-Insulator (SOI) operating in the wavelength range from 1400 nm to 1600 nm. The simulation results of PhC electro-sensitive structure show that the optical properties of PhCs can be used to design sensing devices characterized by a high degree of compactness and good resolution. The properties of the sensor are analyzed and calculated using the plane-wave expansion (PWE) method and simulated using the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method. The simulation results display that the resonant wavelength of the mode localized in the microcavity shifts its spectral drop position following a linear behavior when a driving voltage ranging between 0.0 V and 3.2 V is applied, and the sensitivity of 31.90 nm/V is observed.  相似文献

Pentafluorophenyl sulfone was prepared by oxidation of pentafluorophenyl sulfide. Ethynyl terminated fluorinated poly(arylene ether sulfone) (EFPAESO) was synthesized via nucleophilic aromatic substitution from 4,4′-(hexafluoroisopropylidene) diphenol or 4,4′-(trifluoromethylphenylisopropylidene) diphenol with an excess of pentafluorophenyl sulfone, followed by reaction with 3-ethylnylphenol. The molecular weights (Mns) of the polymers determined by GPC with polystyrene standard were in the range of 6,400-17,200 and polydispersities (Mw/Mns) were in the range of 2.25-3.19. This EFPAESO showed very high thermal stability up to 479 °C for 5% weight loss in TGA in air. Tg of the polymer was changed from 148 to 196 °C after curing. The cured films showed good chemical resistance and high thermal-stability. At 1550 nm wavelength, the refractive indices of the copolymer films were in the range of 1.5037-1.5504 and birefringences were in the range of 0.0021-0.0025. The optical loss for EFPAESO was less than 0.37 dB/cm at 1550 nm wavelength.  相似文献

We propose a waveguide-based near-eye display featuring a dual-channel exit pupil expander, which is composed of an in-coupler, relay gratings, and an out-coupler. Unlike the conventional waveguide-based near-eye displays, whose field of views are usually non-split or partially split, our dual-channel exit pupil expander is able to evenly split the field of view into two halves. The greatest benefit of doing so is that the upper limit of field of view could be significantly increased. The design rules for all components, including the microdisplay, collimating lens, waveguide and gratings, have been studied. The refractive index and dimension of waveguide are identified as two factors that limit the field of view. In what follows, its key specifications are recapitulated. Field of view is 70° (diagonal), eye relief is 15 mm, exit pupil is 20 × 9 mm2, modulation transfer function is above 0.591 at 30 cycle/degree, contrast ratio is 13, and distortion is 1.38%.  相似文献

The objective of this paper is to adapt a recent innovative technique for extracting and exploiting the Electromagnetic (EM) waveguide dispersion of civil engineering materials by means of GPR, and allowing to monitor the water ingress front during the absorption process for various concrete mixes. This technique is based on an inversion procedure that applies the Electromagnetic Waveguide Model (WGM) to invert phase velocity dispersion curves in their modal form. A Parallel homogenization model, derived from the Lichtenecker-Rother equation, has been employed to extend the waveguide model from a one-layer to a two-layer medium. The WGM outputs are then used to estimate the geometric parameters of the propagation medium and offer a primary application to water transfer monitoring in concrete through capillarity effects. The initial WGM validation is carried out on FDTD-simulated propagation signals, while the second validation relies on GPR data acquired from homogeneous materials. Then, a broad-based experimental study is conducted for the purpose of correlating electromagnetic waveguide dispersion parameters with both the geometric and hydric characteristics of various concrete mixes. Results obtained using the two-layer WGM serve to monitor the water ingress front during an absorption process. These results are then compared to the moisture gradients generated on cores using gammadensimetry, which is set as the reference. This procedure yields a number of trends, which in turn provide key information on the conditioning state of the studied concretes.  相似文献

A deep inductively coupled plasma etching process was developed as a part of a continuous effort to develop an all-silica on-chip platform for high-power optical devices. Combined F and Cl based etching chemistry was found most suitable since silica matrix and Al doping are generally etched using different chemistries. First large-core (∼20 × 20 μm) Yb/Al-codoped fused silica waveguides on pure silica substrate were successfully fabricated, featuring ∼1 dB/cm optical propagation loss.  相似文献
