激光诱导偏振依赖纳米结构是一种有效实现纳米图案化的技术,并且一直备受研究者的青睐。利用飞秒激光微加工技术,对6H-SiC晶体表面激光诱导偏振依赖纳米结构特性进行了研究。通过改变入射激光加工偏振态和延迟时间样品表面诱导产生了直径约为150 nm的球形纳米颗粒、椭圆形纳米颗粒和空间周期约为150 nm的高空间频率表面条纹结构。实验结果表明,入射激光偏振特性会直接影响诱导产生的微结构形貌,并且优先入射的飞秒激光对最终产生的表面微结构形貌有决定性作用。初步探讨了偏振依赖纳米结构形成的物理机制,表面等离激元(surface plasmon polariton, SPP)在表面微纳米结构的产生过程中扮演着重要角色,研究结果对激光诱导表面周期结构(laser-induced periodic surface structures, LIPSS)可控制备具有重要意义。  相似文献

采用严格电磁理论研究了介质-金属-介质型光波导激发表面等离子激元(SPPs)的电磁特性,对比分析了SPP波在SiO2/Ag/SiO2和Si/Ag/Si光波导的传输距离。研究表明,对于1550nm光通信波长入射光及10nm厚的金属银膜层,SiO2/Ag/SiO2光波导中非对称SPP的传输距离可达40cm,明显高于对称SPP波的传输距离,也显著高于非对称SPP波在Si/Ag/Si波导中的传输距离,具有超长传输距离;随着金属层厚度的增加SPP波的传输距离明显减小,当银层厚度超过50nm后,非对称的SPP在SiO2/Ag/SiO2及Si/Ag/Si波导中的传输距离趋于一致,约为200nm;此时银层厚度变化对SPP波传输距离的影响明显减弱。  相似文献

In this study, organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs) with enhanced optical properties are fabricated by inserting a nanosized stripe auxiliary electrode layer (nSAEL) between the substrate and an indium tin oxide (ITO) layer. This design can avoid the shortcomings of conventional microsized layers while maintaining high optical uniformity due to the improved conductivity of the electrode. The primary advantage is that the nSAEL (submicrometer scale) is no longer visible to the naked eye. Moreover, the reflective shuttered (grating) structure of the nSAEL increases the forward‐directed light by the microcavity (MC) effect and minimizes the loss of light by the extracting the surface plasmon polariton (SPP) mode. In this study, the degree of the MC and SPP can be controlled with the parameters of the nSAEL by simply conjugating the conditions of laser interference lithography (LIL). Therefore, the current and power efficiencies of the device with an nSAEL with optimized parameters are 1.17 and 1.23 times higher than the reference device at 1000 cd/m2, respectively, and at these parameters, the overall sheet resistance is reduced to less than half (48%). All of the processes are verified by comparing the computational simulation results and the experimental results obtained with the actual fabricated device.  相似文献

Electromagnetic transmission through a slit surrounded by rectangular grooves in a conducting plane is investigated. An electromagnetic boundary-value problem associated with a slit surrounded by rectangular grooves in a conducting plane is rigorously solved based on the Fourier transform, eigenfunction expansion and mode matching method. The transmission coefficient through the slit is represented in a series. Computation is performed to illustrate the effect of the groove geometry on the transmission behaviours.  相似文献

利用扫描近场光学显微术(SNOM),观测并分析了基于银膜衬底上CdS纳米带的介质加载表面等离激元(Dielectric-loaded Surface Plasmon Polariton,DLSPP)的激发现象.通过SNOM可以观察到纳米带不同位置的光致荧光光谱峰位有30 meV的红移量.利用Franz-Keldysh效应可以很好地解释能量红移的产生.有限时域差分法的模拟结果进一步验证了实验中观测的现象.这种DLSPP的激发结构,对于光子集成电路及基于等离激元的微纳器件波导有实际意义.  相似文献

We study theoretically the negative refraction of a surface plasmon polariton. The system we consider consists of a vacuum that is in a contact with two metals that each fill a quarter space with a periodic boundary between them. The interface of each of the metals with the vacuum supports a surface plasmon polariton. When a surface plasmon polariton passes through the periodic boundary between the metals it transforms partly into the Bragg beams of the refracted and reflected surface plasmon polaritons and partly into volume waves in the vacuum. A suitable choice of the period can ensure that the only propagating Bragg beams of the refracted surface plasmon polariton are the specular beam and the (?1)-order beam, which is negatively refracted. With a suitable choice for the form of the profile function and its amplitude the specular beam can be made to vanish.  相似文献

We present a dispersion theory of the surface plasmon polaritons (SPP) in random metal-dielectric nanocomposite (MDN) consisting of bulk metal embedded with dielectric inclusions. We demonstrate that embedding of dielectric nanoparticles in metal results in the formation of the plasmonic bandgap due to strong coupling of the SPP at the metal-vacuum interface and surface plasmons localized at the surface of nanoinclusions. Our results show that MDN can replace metals in various plasmonic devices, which properties can be tuned in a wide spectral range. Being compatible with waveguides and other photonic structures, MDN offers high flexibility in the plasmonic system design.  相似文献

Transformational optics allows for a markedly enhanced control of the electromagnetic wave trajectories within metamaterials, with interesting applications ranging from perfect lenses to invisibility cloaks, carpets, concentrators and rotators. Here we present a review of curved anisotropic heterogeneous meta-surfaces designed using the tool of transformational plasmonics, in order to achieve a similar control for surface plasmon polaritons in cylindrical and conical carpets (for the latter we provide some analytical insight), as well as cylindrical cloaks, concentrators and rotators of a non-convex cross-section. Finally, we provide an asymptotic form of the geometric potential for surface plasmon polaritons on such surfaces in the limit of a small curvature.  相似文献

We fabricated very thin solid silver films with thicknesses below 50 nm using a spin coating method. An aqueous silver ionic complex solution was spin-coated and then thermally cured for a few minutes at a low temperature. The properties of the spin-coated silver films were compared to the properties of silver films deposited by thermal evaporation. The spin-coated thin silver films possessed silver crystallinity and a surface roughness of ~ 2.83 nm, while the thermally evaporated thin silver films also possessed silver crystallinity with a surface roughness of ~ 2.44 nm. Long-range surface plasmon polariton (LR-SPP) waveguides fabricated by both spin coating and thermal evaporation were also characterized and compared. The propagation losses of the 23 nm thick spin-coated and the 19 nm thick evaporated LR-SPP waveguides with strip widths of 7 μm were 3.6 and 4.2 dB/cm, respectively, and their coupling losses were 1.4 and 1.0 dB/2facets, respectively. The use of the spin coating method is a very cost effective solution because the films can be formed at low temperature in a short period of time without requiring a vacuum system. In addition, there are many potential applications of using spin-coated very thin solid silver films in LR-SPP waveguides and nano electrical circuit patterns.  相似文献
