In this paper, we present a novel two-stage minimum-mean-squared-error (MMSE) multiuser decision feedback detector (DFD) for code division multiple access systems working in the frequency-selective multipath fading environment. The first stage of the proposed cascaded structure is the noise-predictive successive DFD (NP-S-DFD), in which the active users are detected successively using the conventional bell labs layered space-time (BLAST) ordering criterion. The second stage includes an adaptive successive/parallel DFD (SP-DFD), which uses the tentative decisions obtained at the first stage for multiuser interference cancellation and data detection. Therefore, the proposed two-stage DFD may be called noise-predictive successive SP-DFD (NP-S-SP-DFD). Simulation results are presented to demonstrate the substantial improvement in the bit error rate performance of NP-S-SP-DFD over the conventional single-stage and cascaded DFDs. It may be inferred that the proposed DFD provides additional performance gain, when the order in which the users are detected is optimized according to the BLAST ordering based on MMSE criterion.  相似文献

应用GPU通用高性能编程技术实现了一种加速BLAST算法的新方法。BLAST是目前最常用的用于生物序列查询比对的算法和软件包,其处理速度受到串行化执行和磁盘I/O等因素的影响。本文通过实验分析了BLAST软件包中的典型程序BLASTN的运行热点,并选定关键热点模块,应用CUDA编程技术对其进行并行化改造。对比实验结果表明,对于平均序列长度较大的序列库,应用GPGPU并行化可明显缩短该模块的运行时间,获得超过35倍的加速比。这说明,我们可以利用GPGPU对BLAST进行并行化加速,以满足高性能生物序列查询的需求。  相似文献

提出了在硬件产品上运行BLAST算法的方案,认为可以使BLAST达到目前为止最快的速度。它是在由NVIDIA发布的CUDA编程环境上执行的。做了详尽的模拟试验,在一个3GHz英特尔奔腾IV处理器上运行,比较了BLAST和SSEARCH的执行。方案与最新公布的GPU执行情况和一个SIMD解决方案进行了比较,测试表明,实现了在硬件产品上获得更大速度的目的,也降低了大规模比对的执行成本。  相似文献

为了增强对程序缓冲区溢出漏洞的检测,提出一种利用CCured和BLAST对C程序进行分析的检测方法。首先利用CCured对C语言源程序进行运行时检测的代码插桩;然后用BLAST提供的自定义安全属性语言对这些插桩代码进行相关约束描述;最后让BLAST根据约束描述文件对代码插桩后的程序进行模型检测,就可以尽可能地找出C语言程序中潜在的缓冲区溢出漏洞。  相似文献

Abstract

In the last decades the European steel industry has made continuous efforts to reduce residues and byproducts and to increase recycling in order to reduce its environmental impact. While some steelmaking slags have been widely characterised and, to a certain extent reused, ladle furnace (LF) slag is used in different applications because of its specific properties. The main purpose of the case study presented in this paper concerns the reduction of potential LF slag environmental impacts, because of its intrinsic physicochemical properties. During the handling and cooling of LF slag, it disintegrates into a powder due to instability of the dicalcium silicate, causing an increase in dust emissions to the environment. The approach presented in this paper aims to reduce this phenomenon in order to achieve a more sustainable solution in term of reduction of powder dispersion in the environment, of costs saving and of nuisance reduction in the surroundings areas.  相似文献

Abstract

Burden distribution control in a blast furnace has a close relationship with wind acceptance and gas utilisation. Quantification of radial distribution of ore and coke is important for proper control of blast furnace operation. Charging of metallic burden over a layer of coke causes a portion of the coke layer to get dislodged from its original position, similar to the situation observed when a heavy material is dropped on a bed of lighter particles. This phenomenon, designated 'coke collapse', significantly changes the ore/coke distribution in the radial direction and thus affects the permeability of the furnace shaft. In the present work a mathematical model for quantifying the amount of coke collapse has been proposed on the basis of 'stability of slope theory'. The calculation from this model has been compared with the results from experiments in simplified physical models. Predictions of the mathematical model are in good agreement with experimental results.  相似文献

Abstract

Iron ore reduction and iron cementation by H2-CH4-Ar gas mixtures were investigated in a laboratory isothermal fixed bed reactor in the temperature range 600-925°C. Iron ore was first reduced to metallic iron by hydrogen, then metallic iron was carburised to cementite by methane. Increasing temperature and hydrogen content accelerated the reduction process. However, for >55 vol.-%, the effect of H2 content was not significant. Methane had almost no effect on the reduction process. Increasing temperature increased the rate of iron cementation and also the rate of free carbon deposition. Optimum conditions for cementite formation were: temperature 750°C and reducing/carburising gas contents of 40-55 vol.-%H2 and 35 vol.-%CH4. Under these conditions, reduction of iron ore to cementite was completed in ~15 min. A two interface grain model and a volume reaction model were used to simulate the process of iron ore reduction and iron cementation. The simulated results for both reduction and cementation were consistent with the experimental data.  相似文献

It is difficult to convey the accelerating rate and growing importance of mass spectrometry applications to human blood proteins and peptides. Mass spectrometry can rapidly detect and identify the ionizable peptides from the proteins in a simple mixture and reveal many of their post‐translational modifications. However, blood is a complex mixture that may contain many proteins first expressed in cells and tissues. The complete analysis of blood proteins is a daunting task that will rely on a wide range of disciplines from physics, chemistry, biochemistry, genetics, electromagnetic instrumentation, mathematics and computation. Therefore the comprehensive discovery and analysis of blood proteins will rank among the great technical challenges and require the cumulative sum of many of mankind's scientific achievements together. A variety of methods have been used to fractionate, analyze and identify proteins from blood, each yielding a small piece of the whole and throwing the great size of the task into sharp relief. The approaches attempted to date clearly indicate that enumerating the proteins and peptides of blood can be accomplished. There is no doubt that the mass spectrometry of blood will be crucial to the discovery and analysis of proteins, enzyme activities, and post‐translational processes that underlay the mechanisms of disease. Abstract

A three-dimensional mathematical model was developed to predict the wall shear stresses due to flow of liquid slag in slag runner of 'G' blast furnace of Tata Steel under different conditions. The liquid slag flow in the slag runner was considered to be turbulent and incompressible. The model was developed for single phase, steady state and isothermal conditions. To this end, the Navier Stokes equations along with continuity and turbulence equations (standard k? model) were simultaneously solved with appropriate boundary conditions at the associated physical boundaries of the calculation domain. Several configurations were numerically assessed with respect to reduced shear stresses on the wall of the slag runner to select the best one. Due to accelerating flow the operating heights of liquid slag (density 2800 kg m–3 at 1500°C) within the slag runner for different configurations were estimated with the help of Bernoulli's and continuity equations and fixed before the computation. The different configurations comprised of three segments with different parameters of either elevation or radius of curvature. Relatively high shear stresses were numerically predicted at the joint area of second and third segments of the slag runner for all the configurations. The radius of curvature was found as the dominant factor to reduce the shear stress at the joint region.  相似文献

Abstract

Production olivine fluxed blast furnace pellets were coated with a water based slurry of kaolinite to give a coating of 5 kg t-1 pellets. The LKAB experimental blast furnace in Lulea? was used to compare the behaviour of kaolinite coated olivine pellets (MPBO-KA) with that of regular olivine pellets coated with a water spray (MPBO-WA). Blast furnace operation with the kaolinite coated pellets was more stable, with higher productivity and slightly lower reductant consumption, than operation with the normal water coated pellets. In the lower shaft of the furnace, significant quantities of potassium oxide were found to have reacted with the olivine pellets and also with the kaolinite coating.  相似文献
