High phosphorus oolitic hematite deposit is a kind of refractory iron ore resource of huge amount. At present, it is difficult to be utilised by traditional physical and chemical technology efficiently and economically. A novel process for utilisation of the high phosphorus oolitic hematite based on carbon composite pre-reduction and fast melting separation has been put forward in the paper. High grade pig iron nugget of low phosphorus could be obtained in the present research. The influence of experimental conditions, such as pre-reduction temperature, C/O (molar ratio) and basicity, on the dephosphorisation behaviours was studied in detail. The thermodynamic basis and reduction and melting separation process were also analysed. The phosphorus content in the iron nugget decreased with the increasing of basicity and increased with the increasing of C/O. The optimum parameters were pre-reduction temperature of 1200°C for 30?min, C/O of 0.95 and basicity of 1.7. After melting separation of molten iron and slag at 1400°C for 10?min, the iron nugget containing 0.02?wt-% [P] would be obtained. The dephosphorisation degree and iron yield in the form of iron nugget were 97.5% and 96.9% respectively. The iron nugget may be directly used as the raw materials of steelmaking from the view point of its high grade.  相似文献

Abstract

Finite element techniques have been used to decouple some of the major causes of strip curvature in the roughing stages of a hot strip mill. A plane strain elastic-plastic model is used to predict the direction and severity of strip curvature caused by asymmetrical factors at each pass of the rougher. Asymmetrical factors considered include work roll speed mismatch, temperature differentials across the thickness of the workpiece, pass height, and frictional differences between upper and lower work rolls. A full factorial experiment was then designed and performed, using finite element predictions, to identify which asymmetrical factors are most influential to strip curvature, and to determine the interactions, if any, between factors. The results show that three of the asymmetrical factors are significant to strip curvature, but their influence depends on the rolling pass. This study will allow the rolling operator to identify which asymmetrical factor may be causing strip curvature and, thus, provide a suitable course of action.  相似文献

Removal of impurity elements from hot metal is essential in basic oxygen steelmaking. Oxidation of phosphorus from hot metal has been studied by several authors since the early days of steelmaking. Influence of different parameters on the distribution of phosphorus, seen during the recent work of the authors, differs somewhat from that reported earlier. On the other hand, removal of sulphur during steelmaking has drawn much less attention. This may be due to the magnitude of desulphurisation in oxygen steelmaking being relatively low and desulphurisation during hot metal pre‐treatment or in the ladle furnace offering better commercial viability. Further, it is normally accepted that sulphur is removed to steelmaking slag in the form of sulphide only. However, recent investigations have indicated that a significant amount of sulphur removed during basic oxygen steelmaking can exist in the form of sulphate in the slag under oxidising conditions. The distribution of sulphur during steelmaking becomes more important in the event of carry‐over of sulphur‐rich blast‐furnace slag, which increases sulphur load in the BOF. The chemical nature of sulphur in this slag undergoes a gradual transition from sulphide to sulphate as the oxidative refining progresses.  相似文献
