The growth of demand for concrete raises concerns about the consumption of natural resources and ordinary Portland cement. Geopolymer composites show promise as a sustainable alternative for conventional cement concrete. Considering the wide range of potential geopolymer composites applications (including suitability for transportation infrastructure, underwater applications, repair and rehabilitation of structures as well as recent developments in 3D printing), the desired fresh and mechanical properties of the geopolymer composite may vary between applications: for example, rapid setting can be a merit for certain applications and a demerit for others. Therefore, the desired fresh and mechanical properties (e.g., workability, setting time, compressive strength, etc.) can be controlled for a given geopolymer source material through its partial substitution by natural or by-product materials. Recognizing the critical role of various replacement materials in enhancing the potential applications of geopolymer composites, the present review was undertaken to quantify and understand the effect of partial replacement by fly ash, metakaolin, kaolin, red mud, slag, ordinary Portland cement, and silica fume on the setting time, workability, compressive strength and flexural strength of various source materials addressed in the literature. The review also provides insights into research gaps in the field to promote future research.  相似文献

济钢120t转炉二次烟气除尘设备选用长袋低压脉冲除尘器,风机采用液力偶合器,并设计将加料系统除尘风量直接加入转炉二次烟气除尘系统。系统投产后,每炉钢节电1200kW,烟气排放浓度为47mg/m3,烟气温度在110℃以下。实践证明,该系统具有节能、捕集率高、排放浓度低、自动化程度高等特点。  相似文献

 了提高道路路面混凝土的抗磨能力,采用硅灰代替部分水泥的方法,对硅灰混凝土的性能进行了较系统的试验研究。成果表明其抗压强度、抗弯强度、抗磨强度等指标都得到明显提高,全面达到和超过了规范要求。并已在丹江口水利枢纽上坝公路中得到应用,实践证明硅灰混凝土技术可靠、经济合理、易于施工。特别是抗磨度的提高,对延长公路路面的使用寿命具有重要意义。  相似文献

In this paper, an experimental and analytical exploration on the effect of water-binder ratio (w/b), silica fume and age on autogenous, carbonation, drying and total shrinkage of high-performance concrete (HPC) is outlined. Eight types of HPC were studied. Carbonation, internal relative humidity (RH) and strength were studied on specimens from the same batch of HPC that was used in the studies of shrinkage. The results indicate fairly good correlation between carbonation, shrinkage, w/b and RH. The type and amount of silica fume affected shrinkage.  相似文献

为了解决武钢三炼钢厂烟罩这类大型构件不便于在常规热处理炉内进行热处理的难题,根据有关工艺和标准要求对烟罩实施了整体炉外热处理,施工中采用在烟罩中段外部包扎保温材料,同时在烟罩两端搭设简易炉体的方法对烟罩进行保温,并制定相应的热处理施工工艺,对工件进行消除应力退火。退火后进行的应力测试表明,应用此种退火技术,工件的焊接残余应力的下降率可以达到60%以上,完全可以满足大型工件的消应力退火要求。  相似文献

The objective of this study is to determine the chemical kinetics of desulphurization of Thai limestone in an atmospheric fluidized bed combustor (AFBC). The experiments, which employed the batch technique using the limestone samples from six major sources in Thailand, were performed in a laboratory‐scale AFBC. The results obtained were analysed and correlated in the form of apparent reaction rate and deactivation rate constants as a function of operating conditions of the furnace and their properties, respectively. The formulae derived from these correlations were kept as general as possible in order that they could be used as input parameters for the selected mathematical model of desulphurization in an AFBC that is suitable for practical use. Leach characteristics of 137Cs and 60Co radionuclides from both ordinary Portland cement and cement mixed with two different ratios of silica fume and ilmenite have been studied using International Atomic Energy's (IAEA) standard leach method. A mathematical model has been simulated to predict the release rate of each nuclide from cubic geometry waste matrix and the predicted values are discussed in relation to experimentally observed leach rates to confirm the validity of the proposed mechanism in the model. The effect of temperature on the radionuclides leaching rates was also studied and the effective diffusion coefficients were obtained at different temperatures. The net fractional release of the two radionuclides from different waste forms showed a decreasing pattern as 137Cs>60Co, indicating the largest diffusion coefficient for cesium in all waste matrices.  相似文献
