A Relational Model of Workplace Victimization: Social Roles and Patterns of Victimization in Dyadic Relationships.

This article proposes a model of the ways in which dyadic interactions between employees who occupy 1 of 4 archetypal social roles in organizations can lead to either episodic or institutionalized patterns of victimization. The model shows how the occurrence of victimization involving these 4 role types is influenced by organizational variables such as power differences, culture, and access to social capital. The model integrates behavioral and social structural antecedents of victimization to develop a relational perspective on the dynamics of harmful behavior in the workplace. Factors influencing feature usage in work-related communication

Two studies are presented. The first aimed to identify possible barriers to the uptake and use of commonly available telephony features and to determine whether greater knowledge of features/access codes and availability of user manuals could increase feature usage under certain conditions. Results showed that feature-usage patterns were not affected by any of the manipulations, but that they were determined by specific job demands. Using Constantine and Lockwood's (1999) conceptualization of user roles, a method to support feature bundling decisions for specific target markets was developed and tested in the second study. The method - Strategic User Needs Analysis (SUNA) - was shown to yield a useful balance between high- and low-level information about selected roles. SUNA provided sufficient information to distinguish between PDA feature usage patterns of two similar target user groups as well as to suggest additional features each of the two target groups would find useful. The development of SUNA and observational findings of actual PDA usage are reported.     

MITOCHONDRIAL RELEVANCE TO YEAST FERMENTATIVE PERFORMANCE: A REVIEW

It is well known that dissolved oxygen fulfils critical roles in brewing yeast physiology and overall fermentative performance. The major and minor roles that have been identified are briefly discussed and another role, that of providing for minimal mitochondrial development and functionality, is suggested. The long accepted theory that mitochondria are irrelevant to fermentative performance is reviewed as to its basis and the evidence in support of it. However, minimal mitochondrial development is required to provide the cell with critical metabolic intermediates and components. These are identified and reviewed and finally, evidence is presented that mitochondria are critical to brewing yeast fermentative performance. The review concludes that when assessing the role of mitochondria, concern should be broader than simply for the energetic function of these organelles.     

Obituaries: Elizabeth Douvan (1926-2002).

Presents an obituary for Elizabeth Douvan (1926-2002). Douvan was a pioneer in the study of changing gender, work, and family roles; personal values; and well-being in the second half of the 20th century. Through her research, she contributed to the interdisciplinary fields of social psychology and women's studies while building and strengthening institutions that remain committed to the same mission. 防火墙在当今网络中起着不可或缺的作用,防火墙规则配置的合理与否直接关系到网络环境的安全.随着网络规模日益增大,防火墙配置也日趋复杂,为了更好的发挥防火墙的防护性能,防火墙策略审计应需而生.文章首先对防火墙规则之间的关系进行了详细研究,总结并分析了一些常见的规则异常种类,并对现有的策略审计方案进行了综述研究.其次,论述了防火墙策略审计系统整体的工作流程,层次化的分析了系统总体架构设计,对防火墙策略审计系统的配置规则审计模块进行了重点研究论述.再次,论述了传统的策略判定树审计方案,详细阐述了该方案的实现流程,分析并指出了该方案的优点以及所存在的不足.接下来提出一种以树形结构为基础改进后的策略审计方案,详细论述了该方案的审计流程并实现了改进的审计方案.最后结合该实现展示了系统的图形化报表以及详细审计结果,对改进后审计方案的审计结果与传统策略树进行了对比分析验证.     

Roles of interaction between components in CZZA/HZSM-5 catalyst for dimethyl ether synthesis via CO2 hydrogenation

The roles of interaction between two catalyst components in CuO–ZnO–ZrO₂–Al₂O₃ (CZZA)/HZSM-5 bifunctional catalyst for dimethyl ether (DME) synthesis via carbon dioxide hydrogenation were investigated. It was found that CZZA catalyst showed excellent stability during methanol (MeOH) synthesis for 100 h, while there was a severe loss of catalytic activity in the bifunctional catalyst for DME synthesis. Hence, the effects of different degrees of intimacy of two catalyst components were studied for DME synthesis, including mixed and separated modes. For the mixed mode, the particle size of catalysts and the amount of reaction intermediates were proven to influence the catalyst deactivation. For the separated mode, the catalysts showed rapid deactivation within a short time. Various characterizations indicated that the remarkable deactivation of separated mode was mainly caused by the decrease of copper active centers (e.g., sintering and oxidation) and blockage of acid sites via increased coke deposition on HZSM-5.     

鄱阳湖水利枢纽工程关键技术研究

本文针对鄱阳湖水利枢纽工程修建后将发挥的作用和可能产生的影响,采用现场调研、实测资料分析和数学模型计算等研究手段,从鄱阳湖流域水资源演变趋势及开发利用状况,三峡水库运用对长江中下游河道冲淤变化及江湖关系的影响,枢纽工程对水资源、防洪、湖区水环境和鱼类的影响,枢纽工程合适的下闸蓄水时期和蓄水位,工程闸门型式及鱼道建设等方面进行了研究,试图为鄱阳湖水利枢纽工程项目立项和规划设计提供科技支撑。     

制造网格任务分解规则、方法及应用研究

为了实现制造网格的资源共享与协同工作,制造网格任务需要拆分成若干设计、制造、装配等多种类型的子任务（活动）的形式,以便于多个服务节点、多方面人员进行协作完成。分析了制造网格任务分解的基本特点,提出了一种基于QoS的制造网格任务分解规则,在此基础上,提出了制造网格任务分解的基本方法和步骤,最后,通过应用实例说明了该规则和方法的有效性和可行性。
