Performance discrepancies on the California Verbal Learning Test-Second Edition (CVLT-II) in the standardization sample.

The standardization data for the California Verbal Learning Test-Second Edition (CVLT-II; D. C. Delis, J. H. Kramer, E. Kaplan, & B. A. Ober, 2000) were used to evaluate the base rate of 6 specific discrepancies between various key variables. The results indicated that CVLT-II performance discrepancies should equal or exceed 1 or 1.5 z score points (depending on the individual comparison) in the hypothesized direction to be considered potentially unusual. However, because about 1 in 3 persons in the standardization sample displayed at least 1 such large discrepancy, it is concluded that these base rates should be viewed only as a starting point for interpretation. The ability of the Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory--Third Edition to detect malingering.

This study investigated the ability of the Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory--Third Edition (MCMI-III) to discriminate students malingering psychopathology (n=106) from bona fide psychiatric inpatients (n=202). Students were randomly assigned to a fake-bad or an honest-responding condition. Analyses investigated the ability of the modifier indices to discriminate fake-bad group participants from the psychiatric inpatients. Scale X raw cutoff score >178 yielded a positive predictive power (PPP) of 0.0, a negative predictive power (NPP) of 63.1, and a hit rate of 63.1%. Optimal cutoff scores were developed. The role of academic emotions in the relationship between perceived academic control and self-regulated learning in online learning

Self-regulated learning is recognized as a critical factor for successful online learning, and students' perceived academic control and academic emotions are important antecedents of self-regulated learning. Because emotions and cognition are interrelated, investigating the joint relationship between perceived academic control and academic emotions on self-regulated learning would be valuable to understanding the process of self-regulated learning. Therefore, this study examined the role of academic emotions (enjoyment, anxiety, and boredom) in the relationship between perceived academic control and self-regulated learning in online learning. The path model was proposed to test the mediating and moderating effects of academic emotions. Data were collected from 426 Korean college students registered in online courses, and a path analysis was conducted. The results demonstrated that enjoyment mediated the relationship between perceived academic control and self-regulated learning, but the moderating effect of enjoyment was not significant. Boredom and anxiety did not have significant mediating effects on self-regulated learning, whereas they showed significant moderating effects in the relationship between perceived academic control and self-regulated learning. The role of academic emotions in learning and their implications for facilitating students' self-regulated learning in online learning were discussed based on the findings.     

基于J2ME的移动网络泡泡堂游戏设计与仿真

介绍了基于J2ME技术开发的手机泡泡堂游戏框架与文件结构。采用状态机、对象池、多线程、地图绘制等技术,设计了游戏场景、道具与关键代码,重点阐述了手机游戏地图绘制技术和游戏角色的产生与回收,给出了通信消息接口设计与网络连接方法,并进行了服务器仿真运行测试。系统具有较高的可移植性,可在主流手机平台中运行。     

《陕西理工学院学报》（自然科学版）作者群现状分析

对2006年—2009年《陕西理工学院学报》（自然科学版）出版的16期学报载文的署名作者信息进行统计分析。结果显示,《陕西理工学院学报》（自然科学版）载文的论文合著率和合著度较高,且总体上呈逐年上升趋势;作者群的性别、职称结构符合我国科技人员的分布规律;作者群以正处于科研能力发展期和研究精力旺盛期的校内外中青年科研工作者为主,《学报》的作者队伍会持续壮大;稿源分布于23个省、自治区和直辖市,《学报》社会影响力和传播广度有了较大程度的提升,已经拥有一支年轻化、有活力、相对稳定的作者群队伍。这对《学报》进一步提高学术水平、更好地实现社会功能、提高社会效益起到基础保障作用。
