大规模并行与分布式系统的出现开拓了软件技术的应用前景,要开发大规模并行与分布式系统的全部潜能,必须要处理系统中大量并发的活动体的协同过程。以Linda为代表的基于共享数据空间的协同模型和协同语言具有时间解耦、空间解耦和引用解耦的特点,为大规模并行与分布式系统的设计与发展提供了一种新方法。该文以多Agent系统为应用背景,研究有关Agent协同模型的问题,解决了现在大多数协同模型中缺乏语义信息的问题。  相似文献

Mobile Agent Coordination for Distributed Network Management   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
Mobile agents are a promising technology to face the problems raised by the increasing complexity and size of today's networks. In particular, in the area of network management, mobile agents can lead to a fully distributed paradigm to overcome the limits of traditional centralized approaches. A basic requirement for the management of a complex network is the definition of high-level and flexible models to coordinate the accesses to the resources—data and services—provided by the network nodes. On this basis, this paper describes the MARS coordination architecture for mobile agents. MARS is based on the definition of programmable tuple spaces associated with the network nodes: mobile agents can access the local resources and services via the tuple space, thus adopting a standard and high-level interface. The network administrator—via mobile agents—can dynamically program the behavior of the tuple space in reaction to the agents' access to the tuple space, thus leading to a flexible network model. Several examples show the effectiveness of the MARS approach in supporting network management activities.  相似文献

This paper offers a finite, ground-complete axiomatization of stateless bisimilarity over the tuple-space-based coordination language Linda. As stepping stones towards that result, axiomatizations of stateless bisimilarity over the sequential fragment of Linda without the nask primitive, and over the full sequential sub-language are given. It is also shown that stateless bisimilarity coincides with standard bisimilarity over the sequential fragment of Linda without the nask primitive.  相似文献

The tuple space abstraction is a powerful and general coordination model for parallel and distributed programming. However, this model is based on the abstraction of a global space, difficult to implement in distributed memory parallel systems with high-performance and scalability. The paper discusses the possible distribution strategies to implement a tuple space server and proposes a new replication policy suitable for massively parallel systems. The proposed strategy achieves scalability by organising the system in a hierarchical way and by integrating coherence protocols of limited overhead. Moreover, the chosen organisation encourages the presence of multiple tuple spaces each with a constrained scope. The paper describes and analyses a transputer-based implementation: the hierarchical organisation of the tuple space makes the access time proportional to the locality of the references and bounded by the logarithm of the system size. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

For interactivity, the virtual world so often relies on a physical component, but how might virtual spaces be made more tangible as spatial environments for exchange? Under the direction of architect and RMIT University professor Tom Kovac, in 2012 the 100 Year City project rose to this challenge as part of the Maribor European Capital of Culture programme. Here, Guest-Editor and Deputy Curator of the project, Fleur Watson , describes how this ‘super studio’ incites cross-disciplinary exchange and the sharing of progressive design ideas for sustainable blueprints for our cities. The Board for the Advancement of Psychology in the Public Interest confers the Award for Distinguished Contribution to Research in Public Policy upon a psychologist who has made a distinguished empirical and/or theoretical contribution to research in public policy, either through a single extraordinary achievement or a lifetime of work. This contribution might include research leading others to view specific national policies differently, research demonstrating the importance of the application of psychological methods and theory to public policy, or research clarifying the ways scientific knowledge of human behavior informs public policy. One of the two winners of this award is Linda A. Teplin. She pioneered the introduction of rigorous psychological field methodologies into real-world criminal justice contexts. Her widely cited studies of how police interact with citizens they perceive as mentally disordered have become the gold standard for research on police behavior. Her more recent but equally definitive work on the prevalence of mental disorder among urban jail populations has firmly established the extraordinary need for mental health services within these community institutions. Her creation of an empirically derived scale to facilitate the referral of inmates for psychological evaluation has the potential to transform jail mental health services in the United States. Many current high level languages have been designed with support for concurrency in mind, providing constructs for the programmer to build explicit parallelism into a program. TheEuLisp threads mechanism, in conjunction with locks, and a generic event waiting operation provides a set of primitive tools with which such concurrency abstractions can be constructed. The object system (Telos) provides a powerful approach to building and controlling these abstractions. We provide a synopsis of this concurrency toolbox, and demonstrate the construction of a number of established abstractions using the facilities ofEuLisp: pcall, futures, stack groups, channels, CSP and Linda.  相似文献
