Bacterial cellulose and cellulose–pectin composites were used as well-defined model plant cell wall (PCW) systems to study the interaction between phenolic acids (PA) derived from purple carrot juice concentrate (PCJC) and PCW components. Significant PA depletion from solution occurred, with pure cellulose initially (30 s–1 h) absorbing more than cellulose–pectin composites in the first hour (ca 20% cf 10–15%), but with all composites absorbing similar levels (ca 30%) after several days. Individual PAs bound to different relative extents with caffeic acid > chlorogenic acid > ferulic acid. Extrapolation of data for these model systems to carrot puree suggests that nutritionally-significant amounts of PAs could bind to cell walls, potentially restricting bioavailability in the small intestine and, as a consequence, delivering PAs to the large intestine for fermentation and metabolism by gut bacteria.  相似文献

Thirty-nine purple non-sulfur bacteria (PNSB) were isolated from 162 environmental samples. These isolates of PNSB were tested for their ability to produce biohydrogen (Bio-H2) at 40 °C and only 14 isolates were noted to possess such ability, which were considered as thermotolerant photosynthetic Bio-H2 producing bacteria (tt-PHPB). Of 14 isolates of tt-PHPB, KKU-SN1/1 was observed to have the highest Bio-H2 productivity. Central composite design was employed to optimize the operating conditions for maximal Bio-H2 production by the strain KKU-SN1/1. Under optimal conditions (7.6 g/L malic acid, 11 g/L glutamic acid, pH 6.7, at 40 °C) the Bio-H2 production was increased by 68.28%. The purity of Bio-H2 produced was 92.22%, as suggested by gas chromatography (GC-TCD). Based on morphological characteristics and 16S rDNA sequence analysis, the strain KKU-SN1/1 was identified as Rhodopseudomonas pentothenatexigens, with 99.7% similarity. To our knowledge, this is the first report on Bio-H2 production by R. pentothenatexigens KKU-SN1/1.  相似文献

目的:研究外源维生素C对桑椹红色素、桑椹原汁、三华李原汁、火龙果原汁、玫瑰茄花萼提取液等5种紫红色果汁色素的影响.方法:比色法.结果:添加重量比浓度为0.025%、0.05%、0.075%、0.1%、0.2%的维生素C均能使5种紫红色素加速褪色,且随着添加浓度的增大,褪色速度愈快.结论:外源维生素C对紫红色果汁色素具加速褪色影响.  相似文献

Measurement of anthocyanins and other phytochemicals in purple wheat   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The major anthocyanin composition of normal purple wheat and heat stressed purple wheat were measured using HPLC, LC–MS/MS and the pH differential method. The lignan secoisolariciresinol diglucoside (SDG) and melatonin content were also measured. Total anthocyanin profile of normal purple wheat (491.3 mg/kg) was significantly (P < 0.05) lower than that of the heat stressed purple wheat (522.7 mg/kg). Thirteen major anthocyanins were isolated and cyanidin 3-glucoside was the predominant anthocyanin in purple wheat. Using the pH differential method, the total anthocyanin content of normal (500.6 mg/kg) and heat stressed (526.0 mg/kg) purple wheat were similar to those observed using HPLC. The SDG content of normal and heat stressed purple wheat were 770 and 520 μg/kg, while melatonin content was 4 and 2 μg/kg, respectively. The presence of SDG and melatonin in addition to anthocyanins may contribute to the health benefits associated with consumption of coloured cereal grains.  相似文献

研究了小麦生长期内土壤氮、钾与小麦根系活力变化及其相关性。结果表明,土壤速效氮、速效钾和非交换性钾含量随小麦生育进程呈现有规律的变化;小麦根系活力呈现先增加,孕穗期峰值出现后迅速下降,成熟时根系活力下降到最低值的变化规律,不同施肥处理小麦整个生育期内根系活力大小顺序为:MNPK、NPK>NK>N、NP>CK、M。土壤速效氮、速效钾、非交换性钾含量与小麦根系活力呈显著或极显著正相关,说明土壤N、K养分有效性的高低是影响小麦根系活力的重要因素。  相似文献

In 1941, the United States Navy intercepted enough Japanese naval messages to predict the attack on Pearl Harbor if the code which protected them had been solved. The messages would have disclosed that, while the Japanese government cynically conducted diplomatic negotiations with the United States, the Japanese Combined Fleet under Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto, beginning as early as September 1941, systematically prepared ships, crews, weapons, tactics, and a complicated fuel supply system for the most ambitious operation ever undertaken by the Japanese navy. Details of Japan's intentions were hidden from Navy cryptanalysts because of limited manpower resources and because all Japanese navy codes were assigned a lower priority than Japanese diplomatic codes and German submarine threat.  相似文献

This paper proposes a method to detect and correct purple fringing, which is one of color artifacts due to characteristics of charge coupled device sensors in a digital camera. The proposed method consists of two steps: detection and correction of purple fringing. In the first step, we detect the purple fringed regions that satisfy specific properties: image regions with large gradient magnitudes and with the chromaticity values within the purple color range set in the CIE xy chromaticity diagram. In the second step, color of the purple fringed regions is corrected in the CIE xy chromaticity diagram by color desaturation of the detected pixels. The proposed method is able to detect purple fringe artifacts more precisely and correct them more naturally than existing methods. It can be used as a post processing in a digital camera.  相似文献

In this study, the H2-photoproduction capacity of Rhodobacter capsulatus B10 was measured as a function of variations in the nature and concentration of volatile fatty acids (VFAs) and other products of dark fermentation. When an equimolar mixture of VFAs was provided, C4 substrates (butyrate and isobutyrate) were not consumed until the C2–C3 substrates (acetate, propionate, and lactate) became unavailable, but in order for the cells to produce H2 at high rates they could not be exposed to severe growth substrate depletion. Among other possible fermentation products, the highest inhibition was observed by the addition of butanol (50% inhibition at 50 mM). The influence of high concentrations of VFAs, phosphate (used to stabilize the pH during dark fermentation) and some heavy metals (known inhibitors of methanogenesis) was also shown. Based on the results, the conditions of fermentation can be manipulated to avoid the inhibition of subsequent H2 photoproduction by photosynthetic bacteria.  相似文献
