Lay discourse about hydrogen energy and the environment: Discussion by young people and adults following a first visit to a Hydrogen Research and Demonstration Centre

This paper explores the public's understanding of 'sustainable energy', focusing upon hydrogen, which for most is unfamiliar. We report reactions to a first tour of the recently established 'Hydrogen Research and Demonstration Centre' in the Valleys of South Wales, which was guided by its scientists and engineers. The visitors lived within 50 miles and fell into three age-categories: 14-year old Baccalaureate students; 18–19 year old students at Tertiary College; and adult- members of a Citizens' Panel. They took part in six focus groups which were facilitated, recorded and then analysed thematically by independent sociologists. The paper examines themes on which the groups agreed or disagreed, and how clear or ambiguous their discourse was. While broad consensus was reached on benefits, costs and safety of hydrogen, there were differences in how groups imagined incorporating it into their lives. In conclusion, we draw lessons for securing wider public commitment to sustainable energy.     

深海卷管铺设中的管道安全性分析

深海卷管铺设过程中管道发生了复杂的塑性变形,可能造成管道的失效,因此需要对管道的安全性进行评估。为此,首先对卷管铺设整个过程中管道的受力变形情况进行了分析,发现管道在上卷至卷筒时最易发生失效。其次对上卷时管道可能发生的失效形式进行了归纳和分析,获得了管道在各种失效形式下的极限承载公式。然后基于位移控制条件,得到了管道的极限弯曲半径,并结合极限承载公式,建立了管道失效的评价指标。最后以管径为16英寸（406.4 mm）的管道为实例,对管道的安全性进行评估,并采用有限元软件对管道上卷时张力对管道椭圆度的影响进行了分析。结果表明：①较大径厚比的管道在上卷时更易于满足极限载荷承载条件,但是对管道截面变形不利,当径厚比达到20时,不满足位移控制条件,已不适用于卷管法铺设;②较高的管材等级对卷管铺设中管道安全性有利;③上卷张力对管道椭圆度的影响较小,可以忽略。     

基于KBE的起重机卷筒组设计技术研究与应用

在知识工程的基础上,引入参数化设计思想,利用面向对象的开发工具Visual Basic,以SolidWorks2010为设计平台,以Access、SQL Server 2000为数据库管理软件,采用参数化设计技术、工程图自动调整技术,全息建模和布局草图装配技术,研究开发了基于KBE的起重机卷筒组三维参数化设计系统。分析了图纸调整中存在的一些问题,提出了基于SolidWorks+AutoCAD的集成开发模式,能够快速生成设计模型的工程图,达到提高设计效率的目的。该技术已成功应用于某重型机械厂的产品设计当中,并取得了理想的效果。

汽车起重机卷筒结构的有限元分析

对汽车起重机卷筒结构的有限元分析方法进行了研究,通过具体实例计算,得出了一些重要结论。由于常规设计计算方法的限制以及忽略了卷筒上所受离心力等诸多影响因素,致使计算结果的精度较低,偏于不安全。     

关于点接触钢丝绳股结构设计与工艺参数的探讨

对沿用的点接触钢丝绳股结构计算和捻股工艺参数作了简要分析，同时提出了新的计算方法和捻股工艺参数，供讨论和在实践中进行验证。

Reel-to-reel wet coating as an efficient up-scaling technique for the production of bulk-heterojunction polymer solar cells

In this paper we report for the first time very promising results in up-scaling coating processes for thin flexible polymer solar cell (PSC) application. Two functional layers for PSC devices, the conducting poly- (3,4-ethylene-dioxythiophene):polystyrenesulfonate and the photoactive one (poly-3-hexylthiophene/[6,6]-phenyl-C61-butyric acid methyl ester), could be successfully prepared by continuous reel-to-reel (R2R) wet coating of low-viscosity solutions and dispersions on ITO-coated PET substrates. A laboratory coating machine (LBA-200) was used for R2R slot die coating (1-4 m/min). Out of this R2R-produced bilayer-system PSCs were accomplished and tested. Light power conversion efficiencies up to 1.7% under AM 1.5 illumination (100 mW/cm²) could be obtained.
